How to make an Audi TT review. 1. A joke about hairdressers 2. Whinge it was never sporty enough for truly masculine drivers 3. Complain that the s-line lowered suspension is too uncomfortable for said masculine drivers 4. Say the mid-engine one is the one to go for and not the more powerful TTS or the 2nd gen TTRS despite previous moaning about it not being a sporty 'mans' car 5. Drool over the luxurious interior like a true man 6. Go from 0-100 kph in under 6 seconds in a 2 litre that starts at around £30k 7. Conclude that they'd prefer a Cayman S with the same performance for £15k more. 8. I thank you.
i don't get why they whinging so much, the TT is an absolutely amazing car but just appriciate it for what it is. It's extremely good, fun ad fast at the same time. Not everybody got a ton of money to spend on a car.
This S line option is something I wasn't aware of when I purchased my 2017 TTS a few months ago. I was driving by the Audi dealership in my 981 Cayman S and saw a new Sepang Blue one so I decided to take a test drive. I still love the Cayman better in some ways but I love the TTS better in other ways which I didn't expect to. Compared to what I paid for the Cayman the loaded TTS on 20" rims was a bargain plus it has a spare tire which I can carry or not. I never take a lot of time researching these cars. Typically if I see a new car I like that I can afford I'll take one out for a spin and if it pleases me I'll buy one. I go through a lot of cars. I've gone through 3 Cayman's in less than two years. Each was more enjoyable than the previous and now I'm into the TTS until something else strikes my fancy. Even though my TTS is on 20's I still put in in Dynamic and Sport mode and its really not as harsh as say the John Cooper Works MINI Coupe I had. That little car was a back breaker! It was a fun little thing but it was punishing. It's all good except for the occasional troll that gives me a hard time when I make a harmless mistake. Some people have no self control.
Design is striking and timeless, there is nothing to make it better! One guy described audi tt like pretty girl, even she dress up poor and shabby clothes, she still will extraordinary, audi tt is exactly like that!
I've also been told some of the early dealer demos come with strange specs. I don't think yours had B&O speakers but did have the fancy climate control. I think you can only order both together with the sound and comfort pack. Another bugbear is you need the full Audi Connect option (wifi hotspot) just to get sat nav! Really good review tho, you covered a lot about the car.
The Blue and Nano Grey are really nice, but I ended up getting the Silver as it had the spec's I wanted included Assistance Package [Blind Spot detection, automatic parking, lane assist], Matrix Headlights, Speaker upgrade and heated seats. It's an excellent car to drive I would have liked the engine sound a bit louder though. The Virtual Cockpit is just amazing! It has every street, location draped on to an aerial satellite, fully indexed and when you have your phone connected will search the Google database and also offer Google Street View when you zoom right in to street level. Like he said, I plug in a terabyte hard drive full of music and I can play whatever I want... or just load up a couple of SD cards and slot them into the glove box SD card reader... Enjoy! ;-)
you have drive select right ? If you put it in Dynamic mode it should sound alot better. Not sure if you have the S line package tho because maybe if you don't it's doesn't have that feature. There is a Remus exhaust system on the market btw that will let it sound alot better !
that rear end dosnt look too great in my opinion. Its got a decent 0-60 time but 220 horsepower in a sports car that size? sounds pretty under powered.
Thanks for watching and for pointing that out, Gordon. The mixed alcantara / leather seats with embossed S logo and electric lumbar support that featured on our test car are indeed standard on both Sport and S Line models.
only when you order the sport seats which you have to have. I like the alcantara btw, gives it a more sporty feel. Not sure if they come standard in your country when you order the pro line S package. In my country they don't atm.

Probably the most desirable sports coupe on sale today!

I love the “massive” storage box in front of the gear stick; there’s enough room in there for a packet of chewing gum 😂😂
I need to own one some day!
me too ! i freaking love it, especially how it drives
I said that and now do. Fantastic car.

I drive the 08' Audi TT 3.2 VR6 & I don't give a crap what anyone says - NOBODY NEEDS MORE THEN WHAT THIS CAR IS - !!!!!!!!!!!
This has really grown on me just saw a white one in town that looked the business
What about the oil consumption problem with TFSI engines?

No, it gets Alcantara as standard, but agree, rest of the spec is miserably low.

Anyone know what Audi colour that is?
Hey dtpazz , thanks for watching. The colour of our test car was Sepang Blue.
Blue
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the colour is Scuba Blue not Sepang Blue because I own the same car and to my eyes they look the same
I get it and I don't get it, it's such a bizarre car.
Ghhyyyyyuuii
worst review evah!
out of curiosity, what made you arrive at that conclusion?
Boring
