Pretty sure that Neil Young found the tape that was stored away with all of the many, many others he owns while he was culling through the tapes as he's continuing to assemble his ongoing archive series. Ol' Neil decided that this live recording was more deserving as part of the CSNY canon instead of his solo archives. Bought and listened to this CSNY the day of release. Like you, I think it's wonderful. Then about a week ago I saw a RUclips video by two old grumpy guys from the Great White North who had nothing good to say about this record. They thought it was boring, redundant and sounded bad. They're 100% mistaken in their assessment. Yours is correct. The 16 minute version of Down by the River is killer. You may have noticed that the audience was unfamiliar with the Deja Vu songs since the concert was recorded before the wide commercial release of the Deja Vu album. I'm very pleased with this album.
@@MikesVinylExperience It's fantastic!!! Refreshing to hear them really relishing playing the fresh material and the vibrancy and excitement they have for their association during this concert. Suite Judy & Our house had become very stale for me after years of the same versions but this was fresh, vibrant and enjoyable. What an absolute treat. 😁
Thank you Mike, another useful and entertaining review. You always sound so positive but maybe occasionally you could dig deep to find the occasional weakness for the sake of balance?
So it looks like you don't have to spend upwards of a $150 to get a great sounding vinyl record........Mobile Fidelity and Acoustic Sounds are you listening?
Respectful and fantastic review. Thank You.
Thank you Stanley!
It does sound quite amazing. CB did a great job and it is an all analog affair. You can hear the room
