- In this episode we install a storage panel on the back door of our FJ Cruiser. It has provisions for attaching molle bags, quick grips, and anything else that will hold stuff we need quick access to. It even has a fold down tray to work off of! The panel is made by Orangeboxx Fabrications with many custom features built in. This is an easy do it yourself project that can be done with simple tools. It's one of the most useful modifications we've done to our overland rig!
We'll also show you how to remove the rear door panel on your FJ Cruiser.

I've been upgrading my 09/FJ for the past year now and you're videos are an invaluable resource to me. Another great idea. Thanks guys.
You made our day Tom, thanks!
Has me rolling in tears when they do the commercials and she just drops the f bomb 🤣
Thank you! You are so funny and show all very detailed and clear!
Thank you so much!
Fantastic. Wish the 4Runner had a side-hinged tailgate instead of the vertical lift hatch. Would be super cool to see something like this made for that platform.
Yup, we agree.
Lol wood chisel = multi-tool, how true. I’d consider this table, but it’s rather common for the trunk to be maxed out as far as storage. Also, that was my last 10mm socket 😆.
Lol, those dogs look like mini werewolves.😂
Och aye, they’re awesome!
Great video as always, guys.
Thanks Neil!
Hi Mark and Merri. I love your videos. I have considered this panel as a cooking tray for my stock 07, but my rear gate is not horizontal when opened. When installed as you did, the tray in my case would slope down towards the front of the FJ significantly enough to make it impractical. At the 8:18 mark the liquid in your wine glass appears level and I couldn't find any other indications of sloping. What is your trick to get the tray level?
The table is at a rather steep angle. Good for anything but putting the stove on.
Hello Mark and Merri, we have a 2008 FJ and love your videos. We went thru all your videos and could not find out how to turn off the seat belt/ door chime. Have you found an easy fix? We have searched you tube and not found a solution that we liked that worked. Dale and Chriss
We've never disconnected ours.
You two are back! Great video you two are funny always enjoy the videos. 2008 FJ owner as well with only 42k on it.
Ralph Pineo thanks Ralph. Waiting on parts, but should have something new out soon. Nice low miles on yours. Sweet!
This is awesome, but for some reason the website isnt working for me, are they still being made?

Nice video, share one for 4R :)
You guys crack me up haha
Thanks for watching Phil!
Been watching and enjoying you guys for a year or more! I’m in the beginning stages of upgrades on my 14 FJ and planning on attending my first FJ Summit this year. I was registered last year but couldn’t make it. Are you guys planning on going again this year? Hopefully will meet up with you one day.

Thanks for watching! Yes, we'll be at the Summit again this year. See ya there!
the best thing on this video is her faces...haha
I really want one of these. Just waiting on my wife to Green light it.
However we just got a dog a couple of days ago. I'd like to know more about the rear window net. I tried searching and couldnt find it.
The net we made ourselves after a loooong search for one the right size. It's just 1" webbing riveted where they cross. At the bottom they loop around a piece of 1" wide flat aluminum stock. At the top they loop around a piece of 3/4" round aluminum tubing, held up with a couple cable hangers. The open-loop cable hangers allow us to disconnect the net at the top when we need to haul something long like lumber, sticking out the window.
Wanderlost Overland that would be why I couldn't find any like it. (T_T)
I work 15 hours a day. Don't suppose I could PayPal you the funds to make another one. Hahaha.
Yeah that looks perfect I would like one also.
Leerburg ventlock is a nice gadget that every FJ owner should have :)
carbonunit or just a cheap fence twister for $3 😉 I want this so I can open the window fully & know the dogs will stay
Where did you get the cargo net for the back of the FJ?
After a long search with no results we ended up making one out of 1" webbing and rivets.
Wanderlust overland do u mind making another one I’ll buy it and pay for shipping
I’ll Venmo PayPal cash app
Great but your website is not working. I could not view this item in your website
That's strange, it worked for me just now. Here's a link directly to the panel. Thanks for watching! www.orangeboxxfabrication.com/rear-door-psd-folding
God you guys dont get the views you deserve
We totally agree with you!!! :)
One way for us to get more views is from our fans sharing us......
500 hundo is a bit steeeeeep for that... very cool but way over priced
Expensive yes, but considering the amount of work, tooling costs, and craftsmanship that goes into the product, definitely a fair price tag.
