2008 FJ was the most fun vehicle I ever owned. Made me smile every time I looked at it. Thanks for the walkaround.
Did a trip up in Maine with these guys this summer, awesome people
we should do it again! :)
I think it would be awesome to go Overlanding with these two guys! Two of them going back and forth talking smack are the best of brothers!! Love the FJs brother!
Where can I find friends like these guys?
They are a special breed that's for sure!
At porn website .
Great setup. Well thought out and efficient in its design. I’m not usually one to be overly critical about other people’s setups, but I’ve never understood why people put bumper jacks on the roof instead of the rear or front.
Nice walk around and great builds. Love the two of them throwing some punches... haha
Thanks!
i couldnt live with the crappy stereo they put in those us etc delivered fj cruisers, I got the touchscreen toyota one and its great, amazing reception. Really loved the video. Cheers from an aussie fj owner
fhhsvnggbh thanks mate!
Dude, love your FJ! Watching you. Sasha from Russia, Far East
Those are some great looking FJ’s! I can’t wait to have the opportunity to modify my stock FJ into similar builds like those. Glad to hear them running the Toytec lifts, but I’m surprised they are running the (what seems to be) stock upper control arms.
I didn’t know the fact about the 4Runner alternator, so I’ll have to do that if mine ever goes out.
Great Video!
The UCAs are SPC on both rigs, I just forgot to mention that when was talking about the suspension. As for the alt, not all 4runners got the 130apm one, look for trail edition.
Gene Rashkovan Thanks for the reply! I figured you guys must’ve had some type of aftermarket UCA’s. I’m torn between OME and a Toytec kit for my FJ. Great rigs, best of luck with them!
dope FJs my dudes! nice start on mods :D never finished!
Love that snorkel!
Nice setup! Thank you for the video. I have a 2007 FJ FT-4WD w/6 spd manual. I am looking for ideas to do a refresh. I like your drawers in the back.
Those guys struggling with the tenf in background haha
Awesome! Hope to meet you on the trail someday!
Thank you!!
The snorkel looks amazing. Can you post a link to the makers???
I can't but maybe Gene can chime in? He commented on this thread somewhere. Thanks!
Sure! You can find the info here:
www.drive2.ru/o/b/1046231
Honestly some of best fj I've seen......but how many$$$$$$$
paul young Thank you sir!
The FJ Cruiser is like a raised up station wagon with 4WD capabilities! Yes; its reliable and dependable, however; has terrible flex and articulation off road. More difficult to drive on uneven trails with camper, you have to choose your line very carefully to keep all wheels on the dirt!
Fun post, appreciate it.
I wheeled with you guys a couple years ago! Your rigs have come a long way! they look great. How has the toytec lift treated you guys?
Thanks for watching, maybe Gene will chime in on this comment. They are awesome people!
Gregory Nelson thanks mate! Toytec is holding up great! I have one of the four bilsteins started to leak a bit recently but I think it's expected after 3 years of hard work :)
Didn’t mention the fifth of Remy Martin back there lol
Taking it to the next level LOL!
Nicely done set up your style but I wish you would have shown more how your front runner roofrack set up to see the clearance from rack to roof I am jeep owner o5 jeep unlimited rubicon a and o5 jeep commander but I just bought o Toyota fj cruiser I an caught between gobi roof rack or front runner gobi has a 4 month wait and cost 1500 to start front runner 1100 get it now but I wish u showed more on your front runner rack set up features
Awesome you’re living my dream 😁👍
Cheers to that!
I like your FJs. Are you running 33”s? Nice set ups. A friend of mine had an FJ that went 300k miles.
Damn fucking legit plus dmitry has a badass name
These guys are right out of central castings “please send us two Russian guys... make sure one is wearing a Russian fir hat”... lol
Great Rigs! Looks like I'll be going with a Trailworx bumper this year too. I'm leaning toward the plate bumper, although I like both.
If you are exposed to salt in the winter I would recommend to get it bare metal and powder-coat it locally, we both are having issues with rust.
Gene Rashkovan I live down the road from Dave At Trailworx.
Not much salt, but I will get it coated.
Great Video guys, love the banter back and forth. I need to find those snorkels, they are really cool looking vs the normal ones you always see around. Thanks for showing the Tuffy console, I will look that up for mine. Cant wait to check out more vids of these FJ's. Cheers
Thank you mate! You take a look at the snorkels here: lenzdesign.blogspot.com/2012/10/lenzdesign-toyota-fj-cruiser-tuning.html
Let me know if you need more info on the snorkel and details about the install...
Some more pics and videos in my Instagram, look for "genafj"
Great job showing all your mods! Question. On your swaybar disconnects, do you hear them rattle when driving disconnected? I spoke with a guy who makes them and he said there was some rattling. And that you just get used to them. What do you think?
Where did you get the sway bar disconnect? I want one. Sweet fjs
Contact me for info on those
I’m 16 years old and Im in love with these cars I wanna start working so I can put a down payment on it , when I’m older that is my plan for one of these cars
Awesome, you don't have to go all out, start with something simple that you can afford and grow with.
Hi, great video. Can you please tell me which seat covers do you have installed?
Amazing
Man I wish I would have gotten an Fj instead of the taco
Never too late :) I hope Toyota will get back to making the FJs one day...
M41LO idk I bought an FJ and I kinda wish I would of bought tacos! 🤷🏽♂️ jk I love my FJ. I’ve owned 2
FJ looks like a lego toy. I like the Tacoma’s better.
The fj in terms of durability, build quality and performance the fj is far superior.
fhhsvnggbh yeah your right FJ is also made in Japan unlike Tacoma’s.
Great build! I have a 4Runner in cement and would like to use a similar snorkel, is there a dealer/distributor in the US, or is it only available in Israel? Thanks
These are manufactured by Lenzdesign in Israel, but they ship it worldwide. Check out here (you can message them): www.drive2.ru/o/b/1046231
There is another interesting snorkel design which looks like this: offroad-garage.com/2016/06/21/fj-cruiser-air-intake-system/
Adam D I don't think they have anything for a 4runner and the angles are too different to try and make it work...
Unless you can work with fiberglass (the snorkel made of fiberglass)
I use the passenger side armrest when I drive.
Does this exhaust get in the vehicle when the window is open while driving? That would be my concern.
A year with an fj and it sees mostly asphalt, one of these days ill get her filthy😂
Its easier than you think to just take it for a weekend ride in the woods!
Reliable Inexpensive SUV, for cool mens!
Very nice… yes, yes…, I like!
Many thanks!!
Cool bananas!
What is the Israeli snorkel manufacturers name? I’d like to see if they make one for my ‘19 TRD Pro Tacoma.
Suh-WEEEEEET!
yeah if i could get some more report on those disconnects that'd be greeeeeeeaaat. *sips coffee*
swaybar disconnects, it works great but to pin it back is a PITA, you must be on the leveled ground and work it a little. Still recommended if you ask me, I have a video if it in action on my youtube. If interested find me on my Instagram "genafj" I will direct you to the guy.
If this isn't being rude, I have them installed on mine and when disconnected there is def a difference. He's right getting them back in is a huge PITA and when the pins are out there is a constant squeak coming from them (on mine anyway) constantly which i found to be very annoying. My next mod is to just remove both front and rear sway bars and see how it handles. If you're at all thinking about them, consider getting the rear sway bar extension links also. This is one mod i should have sprung for. Hope this helps and isn't taken as rude or intrusive on the previous answer given by Gene Rashkovan. Cheers
Thanks so much, there is so little information about FJ disco's out there, so the more info the better.
Can you please tell me what size are your tires and where I can find that snorkel? Thanks
Is them thumb nail pic from the low water bridge up on Williams river in the Monongallia national forest
No, that’s near Helvetia WV.
God damn that dude is hating on his friends ride.
LOL they all pick fun, its a great vibe!
Hello what is the Red fuel on the rear door and how did you mount it Thankyou
Hey, just bought an fj and my lockbox in the middle is giving me issues. And any other tips on fjs
I was wondering where did you buy your snorkel ?
Scroll through the comments a little deeper. Gene did share a link I believe. Thanks!
What Tuffy console did You buy. I'm finding so many different ones ??
Please tell more about your tires and wheels. You said your friend will be going to 35's and re-gearing, please say more about this.........
The 2nd guy was running Nitto Trail Grapplers. GREAT tires for wheeling! I ran those for 50K miles and switched to the new Ridge Grapplers. They are great on the road and great on the trail so far. I'll be doing some harder wheeling come May, but the rocks and mud I ran recently were no match for them.
Tires are Cooper STT PROs, I have it for about 20k, best tire I have ever had. The noise is there but you would expect more with such aggressive tire and the grip is excellent! Wheels are Level 8 Tracker PRO, 16x8.5 with -6 offset. love it! If you are looking into re-gearing and 35s I suggest to do some reading on the forum, lots of data... Good luck!
What is the size of the table your buddy has in the back of his fj?
V8?
Please what make are the rear bumpers and their url . Great vid thx
Simon Newbound - those bumpers are made by a company called Expedition One out of Utah
What brand/model are the packs hanging from the rear hatch door? Please & thanks.
Rotopax. Widely available for water and fuel storage.
@@msoverland Thanks much!
@@msoverland sorry, my mistake, I meant the "soft-goods" packs in the *inside of the rear hatch. Thanks again.
1:29 won’t you be smelling all the emission too?
L H I’m pretty sure that’s just a snorkel.
its an air intake for the engine.... if emissions come out of there its fucked.
Your like an old married couple...
LOL
how do you keep all electrical dry? Thanks
Which electrical are you referring too? Under the hood or in the cab?
Curious if they make a sway bar disconnect for the 2nd gen Tacomas too?
I believe it is the same part and will work for your Taco, let me know if you want contacts of the guy who makes it, my Instagram "genafj"
Gene Rashkovan
How much is it?
PM me
Gene Rashkovan
I have no clue how to PM on RUclips

Hi, May I know what's the snorker brand ?
Where did you purchased your snorkel from?
MegaMan - snorkels are made in Israel by Lenz Design. I have seen them on Ebay
