IMO she should get the Legion/Ghostface treatment where all her percentaged recovery add-ons are combined into one good add-on. She already has two add-ons that instantly recharge her power. She doesn't need five add-on focused on power recovery.
If bite the bullet hid your aura you could just bring a big medkit or even self care to stay injured and dodge aura reading anytime you think the killer might see you. Then u could still run 2 or 3 other meta perks instead of distortion or shadow step.
Dried Cherry Blossom's "nerf" is actually a buff considering you can more accurately tell WHERE the Survivor is with the add-on. Sure, you won't get the detection from afar, but like Whispers, the less range there is, the better you'll be at finding a Survivor's exact location.
I don't see how that's true. The extended range didn't mean less accuarcy, since killer instinct gave you the survivor's position, unlike whispers, where you could argue reduced range would increase precision.
The ratio of recovery of phase to use of phase is 1.76 with old yakuyoke and is 1.8 with the new rusty flute. The flute has no speed downside, though, so its arguably better. Moreover, they buffed green and brown recovery, but neglected that there's a yellow recovery, so now the brown does more. Dub behavior.
Do you think you could also do a video about Sadako's "Buffs" as well? You're a respected community figure and the more people who find out she's been nerfed instead of buffed, the more likely we are to prevent them from dumpstering an already bad killer. I believe BHVR did her rework with good intentions, but they failed, and they might be willing to buff her up before live.
The online bully talk reminds me of the recent ousting of Stream Sniping discord group on WoW. Turned out pretty much everyone in that group were miserable losers with life control issues. Not just "mom's basement" types but also severe drug crimes and abuse, stuff like that. Years ago one serial-SWATter, streamer- stalker and griefer turned out to be a violent psychopath who abused his mother all the time too. So more often than not, people who consistently do nothing but online bully people around are genuinely mentally ill individuals.
As a Spirit main, I'm a little sad to see the nerfs but I understand why they were needed. I didn't use them often but combining MDR and Amulet were a lot of fun. However, since Amulet had the "downside" of slowing phase speed by 15%, MDR shouldn't feel any different to me with other add-ons. What I would REALLY like for Spirit is to visually see when her passive phasing is active while playing her since only survivors get to see it. I sometimes like using her Juniper Bonsai add-on, but it's prettt much impossoble to know if I'm getting any value out of it. Hopefully the devs can do something about that in the future.

I hate that deerstalker is a thing. It shouldn't counter nic cage and that's coming from a non biased player. If anything distortion should work in the dying state to force people to run distortion if they want to counter deerstalker. It's Hella unfair that deerstalker went from a noob killer slugging perk to a perfect counter to a decent survivor perk making it useless.
but actually imagine this : instead of survivors being able to resurect allies , the killer would have a passive that a dead survivors can become temporary phantoms where they were hooked that make living survivors scream when they get close to it , it would fade way after some time
My favorite build on Spirit is running save the best for last with a movement speed add-on and an activation speed add-on, spirit being able to mindgame at loops longer and more frequently was cool but even more so now that those add-ons are getting nerfed I like this combo because you recover from a hit really quick and catch up to them super quick so within seconds you're either right on their ass again or you got a second hit already.

I wonder if dark devotion still will apply its terror radius on the obsession if hit while they're in the Dreamworld. What I'm getting at is even if they have the oblivious status effect, will the terror radius still be able to affect survivors and ignore the oblivious effect?
I think these nerfs are pretty solid (balanced I mean) but the lean into having to use your power more sparingly, along with MFT being in the state it is makes me nervous about how much pressure Spirit is able to maintain consistently.
I'm just pissed that Spirit is getting another nerf, while Blight's Alchemist Ring and Blighted Crow are STILL in the game. Along with triple blink Nurse, which they gave a reasonable drawback too, but it's still bad. So why is Spirit getting another hit while the two titans still haven't been touched?
FR! I find it insane that they've nerfed add-ons like Marvin's Blood and Stale Biscuit (because ofc Twins needed that) but then there's Alchemist's Ring that hasn't been changed in over the 3 years since Blight's release.
Spirit is insanely unfun and unfair to play against and effectively turns every situation into a 50/50. Blight has obvious counterplay even with his strength. A good spirit (who doesn't take much to be good at) has already been on the same level as blight and nurse for so long while taking fraction of the time investment to learn in comparison.
Because BHVR doesn’t play DBD. I mean that legitimately, they make their balance decisions based off statistics. So they look at add-on usage and go “hmm, this add-on gets used way more than the others. It must be too strong” meanwhile they don’t know the context that the reason that add-on gets used is because all others are either complete crap, or that particular add-on makes the killer playable. It’s why they nerfed Marvin’s blood on Nemmy for no reason. Blight on the other hand, has a lot of very good add-ons. So even though Alch ring is op. If you look at a spread sheet all his add-ons likely have similar usage rates. So BHVR goes “well, they’re balanced”

Does that mean she is weak aswell? The reason why blight is so popular is because he's legitimately fun to play and has a steep and rewarding learning curve. Spirit is easy to play and doesn't feel satisfying. That's probably why you don't see her as much.

So yesterday i played Spirit for the first time in many many months. And i got reminded why i play her rarely. For some reason whenever i queue up with her i get GOD SURVIVORS. Its not even close. Always 4/4 loop masters, gens pop left and right and with no other killer do i get teabagged as much. I really don't know why its so bad with her compared to other killers.
New survivor idea made from this vid is the ability to summon a 0 health state bot when it gets hit it dies but it makes scratch marks and grunts like a normal survivor
I feel like the flute buff to 40% is kinda insane. this will cut off like 6 seconds of the total 15 seconds recharge time. seems like she can still be very oppressive with this addon, you can basically just spam your power without having much downtime cause the recovery is so fast.

I feel like cross progression is so slow to come because ive seen people who can cheat on pc to add iri shards, add levels, prestige killers, unlocked killers for free, and even give themselves items/add ons. Imagine someone making a new account with everything 100% unlocked and then using that to play on console with everything for free EDIT: meant to add that would all be on the lowest possible mmr. And if the person cheating just so happens to be a smurf on top of it all, they would be able to make matches absolutely unbearable for those new players they get matched with
As one of the ten spirit mains who doesn’t exclusively run mother daughter ring I’m still really happy about this. It’s a broken unfair addon, and I think we always knew the duration “feature” would be removed eventually. It will hopefully push more people to actually learn spirits power and mind games rather than hold phase to win

Here's what could be done to bite the bullet to counter nurses, while healing aura detection does not work on you. That includes friendly aura detection, however really, that alone could be a perk, but if that alone was a perk then it should be killer's aura detection only, that doesn't work.
I genuinely don't understand the point of playing an entire like 14 minute game only to DC as you're being carried to the last hook. The altruistic reason might be to avoid a hook based perk being used against your team but like, the killer still removes you from the game which is their objective so what's supposed to be the punishment here? You get them closer to their win condition by like 5 seconds...way to stick it to the killer, Nea.
In recent history, before this nerf was announced, was spirit an issue? Majority of my games have been wesker, knight, huntress. I gave a spirit once a month and the don't use powerful Add ons.
Otz, for the first game, if u already have territorial, why not hook the first survivor and/or the last gen survivor in the basement? Isn't the basement the best place to hook regardless?

Not really. Aside from BBQ, Survivors cannot know when the Killer is using an aura reading perk. They would need to be healing when the aura read activates to be hidden. It would be like how Off the Record hides your aura but doesn’t tell you that the Killer is using an aura reading perk.
Otz I have an amazing survivor build for the ptb. The usual power struggle, flip-flop, unbreakable combo is great, but what about adding plot twist to down yourself at a pallet and guarantee the right amount of wiggle progression to pallet stun the killer.
Ez counter. Just let them bleed to death, or force them to use plot twist recovery and ultimately disable it. Slugging and leave pallet plot twist meta incoming

That's literally my build. Activation + Speed is super strong with STBFL. I also run Surge, Sloppy and Pop.

@@surinaam1186 its crazy that there are still whiny bitches who think spirit is oppressive when she's only strong in the hands of an insane killer, or when facing weak survivors. If it was actually strong AND easy, it'd be played a lot more. She has enough skins to be popular, so why the low playrate? It's because it's not actually good. People know what's strong, you can tell by what they play. No one plays Spirit, because it isn't as good as Blight or Nurse.
It's also funny that you tried to sneak in the lie that Blight has *_obvious_* counterplay thinking that was gonna slide. The "obvious" counterplay is to just not face Blights who have speed add-ons. You can't do anything to avoid getting hit if he's rushing at 3x your speed, except pre-drop every pallet and get rid of every pallet in your first chase. And if he has his ridiculous add-on Compound 33, then even dropping pallets doesn't help you, since he instantly destroys them and slows you so he can still catch up.
@@loudwhispre9406Wild how the majority of top tier survivor players I've talked to seem to hate spirit and find her extremely oppressive to play against. Even the best survivors struggle against her and make big misplays because she effectively turns every loop into a guessing game. Nurse has a low play rate and a low kill rate. Does that mean she is weak aswell? The reason why blight is so popular is because he's legitimately fun to play and has a steep and rewarding learning curve. Spirit is easy to play and doesn't feel satisfying. That's probably why you don't see her as much.

So yesterday i played Spirit for the first time in many many months. And i got reminded why i play her rarely. For some reason whenever i queue up with her i get GOD SURVIVORS. Its not even close. Always 4/4 loop masters, gens pop left and right and with no other killer do i get teabagged as much. I really don't know why its so bad with her compared to other killers.
New survivor idea made from this vid is the ability to summon a 0 health state bot when it gets hit it dies but it makes scratch marks and grunts like a normal survivor
I feel like the flute buff to 40% is kinda insane. this will cut off like 6 seconds of the total 15 seconds recharge time. seems like she can still be very oppressive with this addon, you can basically just spam your power without having much downtime cause the recovery is so fast.
Yeah fully agreed, the devs need to be careful when buffing cooldown addons on a power that can be used as tactically as Spirit’s, she can traverse, use it in chase, mind game with it, it’s a lot and nearly half of its seconds off is such a huge deal, it’s probably a good idea to make it only 30 or 35%

I feel like cross progression is so slow to come because ive seen people who can cheat on pc to add iri shards, add levels, prestige killers, unlocked killers for free, and even give themselves items/add ons. Imagine someone making a new account with everything 100% unlocked and then using that to play on console with everything for free
EDIT: meant to add that would all be on the lowest possible mmr. And if the person cheating just so happens to be a smurf on top of it all, they would be able to make matches absolutely unbearable for those new players they get matched with

As one of the ten spirit mains who doesn’t exclusively run mother daughter ring I’m still really happy about this. It’s a broken unfair addon, and I think we always knew the duration “feature” would be removed eventually. It will hopefully push more people to actually learn spirits power and mind games rather than hold phase to win

Here's what could be done to bite the bullet to counter nurses, while healing aura detection does not work on you. That includes friendly aura detection, however really, that alone could be a perk, but if that alone was a perk then it should be killer's aura detection only, that doesn't work.

I genuinely don't understand the point of playing an entire like 14 minute game only to DC as you're being carried to the last hook. The altruistic reason might be to avoid a hook based perk being used against your team but like, the killer still removes you from the game which is their objective so what's supposed to be the punishment here? You get them closer to their win condition by like 5 seconds...way to stick it to the killer, Nea.

In recent history, before this nerf was announced, was spirit an issue? Majority of my games have been wesker, knight, huntress. I gave a spirit once a month and the don't use powerful Add ons.

Not really. Aside from BBQ, Survivors cannot know when the Killer is using an aura reading perk. They would need to be healing when the aura read activates to be hidden. It would be like how Off the Record hides your aura but doesn’t tell you that the Killer is using an aura reading perk.
Otz I have an amazing survivor build for the ptb. The usual power struggle, flip-flop, unbreakable combo is great, but what about adding plot twist to down yourself at a pallet and guarantee the right amount of wiggle progression to pallet stun the killer.
