Ive owned the ps270 for a few years now and it has def become my favorite out of all of them in my arsenal. Even over my ps770. Its an awesome airbrush

My first brush was a H&S evolution silverline 0.2& 0.4 setup then I moved to an iwata HP-c plus and now I use a Creos PS 270 which I got on your recommendation, and I love it.

How does the Creos spray compare to the Iwata? I have the HP-CH and was considering getting a 0.2mm. I use Liquitex soft body acrylics and mix/thin straight on my palette tray, so I'm a bit wary of the smaller nozzles.

@@DscruGaming hi basically the creos is an iwata both brushes come out the same factory as for spraying again about the same
If your looking at the ps270 0.2mm works great 👍 as with all airbrushes get your paint concisely right and your good to go

@@dredfxcustompaint I've heard that. The PS289 looks like a HP-CH replica. I do like the look of the creos nozzle/front end from a cleaning pov. Just interested if a 0.2mm is much better for finer detail than the 0.3mm as my trigger control isn't the best lol. For portraits from 2x2 inches (actual face size) up to 7-8 inches. Cheers for any advice.

Nice , love the vids . I've treated my self to the Creos ps270 for A nice little Xmas present to my self. Granted i don't paint portraits and paint Miniatures.
But ive been using a cheap airbrush from amazon for a few months and feel i deserve an upgrade, and thanks to your Vids, its helped making the decision

...owned the H&S Infinity CR and wasn't pleased with the small amount of free-play in the trigger- if the Evolution doesn't have the free-play it should be great. I own and use the PS270 and it's great....the entire Creos line is fantastic. H&S quality is absolutely first rate but like I mentioned, the free-play (Infinity) turned me off from buying other H&S models...hope they fix the free-play.

Hi Steve I know exactly what you mean with the infinity I have one and yes trigger movement is a pain 🙄 love the creos brushes
Have three of them thanks for coming over and watching much appreciated 👍

Great review and comparison Rob, they both look great airbrushes so it looks like both would be a good buy👍
Have you got your heater sorted yet mate it seems to be a while since it went wrong, I get most of my spares from Amazon and most of them are here next day, I can't remember what's wrong with it but if you are having problems getting spares have a look on Amazon 🙏👍

yeah this is interesting I have never heard anybody say that a H&S atomises better than any Creos. I have both and the Creos is better in every regard, at least in terms of performance, and that includes atomisation. I only every heard people say the same. I wonder what the variable is here. Cheers Rob.

Very interesting comparison, I didnt expect the H&S to handle better in details. I have a question about the creos ps270. The manufacturer suggests never to take the nozzle off while cleaning. Im used from my iwata HPC+ that has the exact same type of nozzle to break it down completely and clean it thoroughly whenever Im not going to use it for some time. Am I doing something wrong? Or Mr Hobby is abit excessive in their cautioning? Is there maybe a ''safer way to break down the airbrush(ps270)? Like removing the whole head?

    • @TheDarkArtist66

I take out the nozzle every time I clean it and have never had an issue. Ive had the ps270 for almost 3 years and its honestly my favorite airbrush

@DRED FX CUSTOM PAINT thank you so much. Long story short I've invested in alot of airbrushes, badger patriot 105 with 0.5mm needle for primer and surfacers on minis and model kits. Badger sotar 20 20 with 0.2mm needle for details for portraits and minis but doesn't do good for base coats on larger model kits. So I baught iwata eclipse hp with .3mm needle and it absolutely amazing for base coats for model kits other than acrylics dry fast and tip tens to get clogged with is not a big deal. But had issues with pre shading and post shading on model kits because I can't do smaller pieces soooo everyone was like hey get gsi creos ps-289 with .3mm needle and youl be fine and from that point on im all mr hobby gsi creos lol. However I still can't get fine as sotar 20 20 no matter how thin or low psi I can get the ps-289 with controlling the Mac valve and as much as I like the sotar 20 20 it's not comfortable and adjustable as a gsi creos so I need a .2 or the .18 mm needle but I only wanto invest into mr hobbys gsci creos lol. I was thinking about getting the iwata custom but why pay 600 to 700 usd when I can get similar results with half the price and a brand I like. The question is weather to get ps 270 or ps771 lol. That's where I stand.
