Great review! I am not familiar with the H&S brand but I own few Japanese airbrushes like Creos, Iwata, Olympos and Richpen and all of them are amazing, they all perform flawless. I do agree with the statement about the 771 being able to perform like a Iwata Micron
I'm a scale modeler and love my PS 771 for fine detail work. One change I made was to replace the round trigger with a square Custom Micron trigger. For me, it was a big improvement.
Another nice informative vid bruv. My very first brush was a H&S Evolution Silverline with a 0.2 and 0.4 setup and when you started this vid I just knew you were gonna say trigger response. Then came my Iwata HP-C Plus 0.3 that's when I noticed the difference. And now of course the Creos PS 270 which I absolutely love what a great brush. Oh yeah one more thing you mentioned artists that we look up to well I look up to you mate your a good all rounder and you've got a great way of explaining things. So once again well done mate. Oo nearly forgot Iwata took over H&S in January 2021
very nice vedio with valuable info. Unfortunately i baught infinity couple of years ago and came across another vedio on youtube pointing the same trigger response problem and if put me away from airbrushing .. i recentky started the art again and thinking to buy 771 .. i really struggled getting fines with h&s .
I think the trigger free play on the infinity Is at the connection point of the trigger and the half moon joint. I have the same problem on my Evo 2024.
Dean are you stalking Dred ? I swapped mine for yhr ps771 end of discussion..lol but to be honest the hns has a built like no other ..the quality is by far the best I ve held..but what's the point if it looks and feels good but can't use it..I still want to buy the version 2 just to look at it..they've said they went back to the drawing board and made it better..cheers I'm still watching on and off since it's 25 mins...
Hi Rob, big thanks for your hard work and content. I got myself a Devilbiss DAGR and honestly, it performs so well that is my number one gun now, if you have time I would ask you to do a review of DAGR. There is too little content on this gun on RUclips and I would like to know your honest opinion on this gun. Thank you for your time!
Hi thanks for the feedback I would love to do a review on the devilbiss airbrush been looking at them for some time now 😀 If a company would send one out it would be great I just cannot chin the £160 to do a review for you guys 😬
How is the dagr on thin lines and small areas, I'll be using car paints mostly so it would be ideal but does it spray fine enough, I have also been looking at the H&S Evolution cr plus 2in1 for similar price, your right about lack of info on the dagr but being made by DeVilbiss it should be brilliant anyway.
Hi, Happy New Year! You did an awesome job to explain, present the differences of the two brushes. You really really nailed it. I hope you can reach more viewers and subscribers. Your videos will help them to increase their awareness and knowledge regarding airbrushes.
Great video Rob and very informative, videos like this are priceless for people looking for a good brush that will get them into the trade (or hobby) and all spare parts are readily available, thanks boss😁👌👍
7:27 You said the difference is the trigger, but how is it different? I saw a video on the Micron and the PS771 from "The Art Workshop", he mentions that he thinks the trigger is more precise, as in the trigger releases paint at the exact same point (the distance he has to pull back, where it sprays) and that the Infinity has some variation, where he is not quite sure when the paint will spray. Is this what you are saying? I think this is probably the most important feature in an airbrush for detail work, and is often overlooked.
For me japanese airbrush wins in all parameters, i have Iwatas and Richepen_Phoenix 0.2. :) I love both. :) I use my Evolution Silverline some times, but is not the same.
Superb video, real world comments and considerations. I was recommended the Mr Hobby Creos recently. I'm a fan of H&S and Paasche (base coats and primers larger models). The trigger issue on the Infinity can be an annoyance at times. I know that H&S have done a couple of specials with new triggers etc, but they need to do such for general release imho. What size needle/nozzles were in each AB?🤔 Sorry if I missed that✌️😊 Also which is easiest to clean?🤔👍✌️
@@dredfxcustompaint Hi, thanks for the info. My Infinity is 0.15, I may put in the 0.2 set (tip dry etc). My Evolution is a 0.4, I've a PremiAir with a 0.3 and I've a Millennium with a 0.55 along with a Sparmax GP50 at 0.50 and the Paasche H often runs a 0.7 (although I've a three needle/nozzle set for that too). I've most bases covered. Now, for me, it's not only quality of finish, it's ease of use, clean up etc etc, due to time and health issues.
I think the only time you will notice the difference is when you start to use another quality airbrush then go back to the infinity And you will see but if you do notice it here's a link that will sort the problem out ruclips.net/video/gCdRdai3r1M/видео.html

How does the ps270 compare to these brushes? I own an infinity and an evolution and started to notice this dead trigger space as well. From your previous videos I was about to buy a ps270 but now you made me doubt. I only spray armour so maybe ps771 which is currently more expensive is over the top, regards another Rob. Yes the trigger on the h&s has a delay befor the paint comes out you will notice this if you have an infinity and then pick up a 771 or micron
