Okay guys even though I said I’d NEVER climb to the peak again, I think that MAYBE if I had more snacks and was more prepared AND had an umbrella then MAYBE I would do it again 😂😂😂😂 never say never 🫣
@@chevychase4934Are you Jamaican? Getting a Jamaican ID isn’t easy. Without any Jamaican background you would have to marry here or live for over 6 years. It really isn’t something as easy as you just made it sound.
Omg what an adventure this was too epic! I still hold my word I will never do this ever again! No doubt!! Big up Jess this was so much fun! What a great collaboration! Ready again when you are a mad thing!!!!!
How things have changed since, I last encountered the Blue Mountain Peak, is still amazing. In fact, that journey was over 40 years ago in the 1980's and yes for the love of it I did it 3 times!!! Starting from Mavis Bank, crossing the springs of Yallah's River through Hagley's Gap it was all climbing, journeying by foot to the peak, camping out at Penlyne Castle first where there were no cabins at the time sleeping on ground then journeying all the way went to the only one small cabin that existed in the mountain. Of course, vehicular traffics were not permitted at the time and the only transport for some groups were rented mules or donkeys that carried belongs as far as Penlyne Castle. All said, it was mind boggling and warming to follow your trails with the youths along. Very enticing, I still feel the nerves to do it again if that opportunity comes again. From NJ with love ❤Bless🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿.
@@judithdwyer1542 Happy to hear your experience. On my second trip to the peak, I was a loner, going all by myself as well as assisting first timers at the time. Sadly now, the introduction of vehicles to ploy the route closer to the peak, and the tapping of water by the installations of metal pipes have sure taken away from the naturality of the area, the environment deserves. That looks like the cabin I stayed when I hiked to the peak. We left out at around 2:30 am and was at the peak for the sunrise. The greatest feeling. I was in awe of how quiet it was at the top and the sun shining on the other two peaks... priceless
@blessupjess, your vlog and a Jamaican youtuber named rushcam let me know that I need to be well prepared for that hike. I laughed so hard when watching Rushcam's and now yours solidified it for me.

Thank you, Jess, for sharing your adventures throughout Jamaica. I'm from the Blue Mountains, which brings back lots of memories of climbing the peak. I wish you were able to see the amazing sunrise and the surrounding views. I'll be making that trip again soon to film my TaiChi session on the peak. Good luck with your journey, and continue being Jess. Bless up!

I remember going camping up there in a section called Joppa I was about 15yrs at the time on a government summer programme in 84'and that was crazy, we were completely beyond civilisation for about 10days it was epic though Blue Mountains is magical 🎯
Great video 😂 I took a coach trip up to the blue mountains years ago from the portland side and that was scary ride. The road was a track the driver and guide crossed themselves before we set off. But the scenery was worth the journey.
Maybe it's best to break the journey to the peak into two hikes, over the course of two days. First day you hike halfway up and you set up camp. Next day you hike the rest.
There is a Rasta woman called Talibah in constitution hill . That has a healthy eating and female chill spot . Overlooks all of kingston. I think she is on insta too
Actually, that trail I would jug that out in hour and half the most, or 2hour! but that nothing for me it would be a nice like to get up in the morning ..

Hey Jess. If you plan on being here long find out the process of getting a Jamaican ID. It might be cheaper than always having to pay tourist prices.
