Our local hill shut down last Sunday, April 28. It was just open on the weekends the last two weeks of the month. Snow held up pretty well. I am heading down to Batchelor this week to ski one last time before I hang it up for the season.

We are having a snow day here... When you guys were out here did you ever do the 9 9 9? 9 runs 9 holes of golf 9 innings at a Rockies game?

ski'd over 30 days this year at stowe and I can attest to the fact that there were zero lift breakdowns.
Not once while I was there. Wind hold a couple times, but that is what it is... It was windy....😊
That was shocking looking back on it given all the storms and wind and stuff this year.
    Let's go Stowe!!!

They did a great job this winter. The one day when they shut everything down, it was totally warranted.

Have to be blunt for a moment, but of course the Alterra CEO is going to be talking his book in an interview. Meanwhile the prices for window lift tickets, food, and parking at these mega pass resorts are becoming the laughingstock of the world (as an American living abroad). He can talk as long as he likes about how the income they are making is helpful for various reasons, but the reality is that prices for ski trips are still reasonable in most parts of Europe and Japan, without requiring a mega pass or booking many months in advance. It doesn't need to be that way in the US.

I hear you. The prices of some of these things at the resort are outrageous. But people pay it, so they're going to keep going. There's also the other side, for skiers like us who buy the epic pass, ski a ton, and don't buy those extra things--skiing is really cheap for me and my family here in Vermont.

8 am tee time this time of year. Ouch.
I would have reversed those options. 😂😂

There are a handful in NY that are the same way and from what I hear, it doesn't always work out great.
