And also, since it is the same monster causing the horror check, it is the same for all affected investigators, so you roll the dice for the same check for each investigator separately. (in your case although you chose twice the same monster, the same check came out, I am not sure it was a coincidence or it is always like this)
Thanks FactFive! Good to know its just the one check for both investigators when doing a Horror check against the same monster. I double checked this as well. It must have been pure luck I got the same check twice in a row. Fate! haha
funny thing. First time I played this game, it was with my brother on this scenario. We read the first description about the kitchen racket behind the closed door and my brother jokingly says "That sounds dangerous, one of us could die!" so we didn't explore. XD
hahaha That’s what makes this game so great. People interpret things so differently. I had a friend that played a “guess who did it scenario”. He talked to a bystander and they stated they were in a certain part of the house and my friend just said, “you’re a liar...I know that NPC was in a different part of the house”. Decided to guess who it was and was bang on. Fastest scenario win ever lol
Very nice video. Some notes: 1) You probably know this already but you when you move, you can move 1 space, stop the move action, do something else (like search) then continue your movement (1 space remaining). This is 100% valid. 2) It is the first time I see the butler not making it. I have played the scenario twice (different group) and both times someone went for the rescue. I guess it can still surprise me! 3) Since William is in the game, you will want to defeat as many monsters as possible (before it becomes too crowded) so you get the extra clue for him. And since Father Mateo has the Brass knuckles you should make him your main attacker (unless you find something more powerful alter on). 4) Do you hold the camera with your hand or do you use a tripod? I am interested in doing similar videos (no worries, it will be in greek, no competition there) and I was wondering how you have such a steady shot.
Thanks FactFive! 1) Yep, I like the movement freedom of this game for sure! 2) I heard noise and saw the barricade token, decided to just get a move on. Poor Butler? Not sure if he's dead or not yet...but the app didn't make it sounds like something positive happened to him! haha 3) Very true! Good suggestions. 4) I hold the camera while filming playthroughs. I use a tripod for everything that isn't a playthrough. I've never had an issue with having shaky hands...helps with painting as well. :)
Hi Adam. Item decks are usually in alphabetical order. It helps if they are kept that way. It takes a bit more time during packing up but it's worth it. In fact it's better to arrange all the decks alphabetically.
Good suggestion! I agree with you there. For this game, like Eldritch Horror, I'll get the decks organized for finding cards in the deck that much quicker. Cheers!
It’s way up there! I love the thematic feel of this game and how the app leads you on an adventure. Still have it all and won’t let it go unless a new version comes out.
Me again. Ha ha. You might want to think about rebasing the figures. All that beautiful tile artwork gets covered by the worst bases I have ever seen. What were FFG thinking ???
I very much agree with you! I do like the stat being part of the base however for easy reference, but they went way overboard on the size of them. They're also brutal to store away due to the oversized bases. As I'm not sure when I'll paint them I'm going to keep them unglued from the bases for now. Later I plan to paint them and will need to make a decision then about gluing them to these black bases or finding transparent ones. I really don't understand why they didn't go transparent in the second edition. Even if they kept the same badly sized bases, they could have gone transparent easily. This was a complaint from the First Edition as well which was overlooked sadly. Guess that is where we come in! :)
I think whenever I eventually get the game I am going to glue the monsters to clear bases and then just use a player guide for all of the monster stats.
James Sexton that's what I do. Also the bases can be bought from eBay fairly cheap with the peg holes already drilled. I've rebases all my core set and BtT. Investigators are fine so no need to rebase them. Edit. I accidentally wrote debased and it looked so wrong 😳
You're right, the Hunting Horror would affect the priest (cause no door, as you say).
Just nasty!

Hi again Adam. Are they same coin protectors that U used for arkham horror ? What size are they ?
Yep! Those are the exact same ones which luckily work for both game. They're 26mm in size!
Is this still 1 of your favorite games? I'm torn between getting more MoM(I own the core) or getting Cthulhu death may die

That's a good alternative as well James! Might end up doing something similar.
