I don't edit video, but if I were to, Final Cut would probably be one of my first choices. It's good to see that Apple is addressing people's concerns. Full screen looks really nice for the MacBook Airs and 13" Pro.
Great update from Apple! There are lots of features for a .0.1 update! I'm eager to see what they have in store for 10.1! Thanks for the walk through, Matt!
Hey, keep up the great work. I have a question: how to work with alpha channels on final cut x? For example, how to use clips from Action Essentials on final cut? I put them there, they work for a while, then turn black... I'm really confused. Would love if you'd answer :-) Thanks
Matt, quick question. Thinking about getting Macbook Air 13 inch. Is there any trouble with importing video over USB2??? The Air doesn't have firewire, so is that a deal breaker? Appreciated, you're top notch.
@pinkfloydfannn and @MattsMacintosh If you use safari, click on window > activity, search for the youtube webpage and inside look for the largest file (usually the only one with some MB - and it is a flash file). double click this file and it will be downloaded to your downloads folder. No need for 3rd party app.
Well, it's a nice start. But I would love to see stability in the actual damned programme. I've lost count of how many errors I've had to send them. Most of which are caused by moving the skimmer about while in blade tool mode for quick cuts one after the other...
realized if we use the music in the FCPX audio library, it's all in .caf. They sound fine in the timeline but there's this popping interference when you export the movie. :(
Do you know where i can get this update online?? My mac app store keeps saying my computer or device is not verified and i cant download it :( any help would be appreciated
10.0.1 not being backward compatible with 10.0.0 makes no sense. That's a heck of a lot worse than not being compatible with 7! Anyway I am going to do the free trial to see how I like it =)
thumbs up if this happened when you tried to update on your old macbook (2006/2007): We could not complete your purchase Your computer’s video card does not meet the minimum system requirements. :(

Don't forget that they fixed the sound popping issue some were having with sound files such as AAC. This was a very big deal for a newbie like me.
I was still doing the extra step until I watched this video. Thanks Matt.

@Theworldoftechuk There is a support document on Apple's site that tells you how to do it.
@tama1550 You can either crop it or resize it in most editing programs.
@SultaoFeliz You could do it on iMovie, but it would certainly be easier in Final Cut

@belbers9715 Since that's one of the few things Apple said is definitely coming, I think we'll see it in the next few months.
@thebossXI An app called Mirage Dock
@SultaoFeliz Its always better to get it third party than from Apple if you know how to install it yourself.
Matt, do you think it would be possible for you to do a refiew of the iMac G5? Similiar to how you did the "Time Travel Series"?
@guidobertisch2 No, its free. It should be in your App Store updates.

Awesome, really cool!
Now just gotta wait for things like Multicam :P
@TheBelieveProject yes they are!!!
@pinkfloydfannn In Safari go to activity monitor and find the video there. Its most likely the biggest object (Over 20Mb)
@pinkfloydfannn There are a lot of third party apps that do it. Just do a Google search and you'll see a few.
@Theworldoftechuk yes you can, you just cannot have both open at the same time.

@MattsMacintosh Can you upload that project you are working on that video, please? It looks interesting.

i already know imovie comes with it ,but does final cut pro x come with the macbook air?
@ivaneduardo747 I already did. It's the video I uploaded before this one.
@MattsMacintosh I feel like people ask that question on every video and I don't even like it. I like the 2D on the bottom.
