Almost got the sub 2:20. Lost time with late rock spawn, missed swing on rock 2, late button press for 1 tick on rock 2. Every missed mining swing is 4 ticks lost(2.4s).
Theoretically the best possible time for 2 cycle gargoyle is 2:14.4. This requires fastest rock spawn(there are 4 different ones with each 1 tick difference), no 9x9 rot attack, and no missed swings on mining the resources. There is a method of saving 1 tick on mining that I might try to implement.
