I was at this concert. When the music for Gen 4 began, I immediately felt like a kid again. I cried when the first piece for Diamond and Pearl was played, and I felt a wave of nostalgia and memories from all of the other pieces played. It really was a night I'll never forget
I regret not even knowing this existed. Also, admit it. That rendition of N's Farewell made you cry. Also, holy *shit* that main theme part. That just broke any composure I had.
I didn't cry. Probably because I skipped bw1 and just played bw2 back in the early 2010s and played it later. I cried at none of the tracks tbh. BW'S story was ok tbh and not the masterpiece as some commenters said.
@@exchangediary968 I still agree with what I said her but Iregret wording my comment like that. Looking back at it now, I was just being an asshole here and the amount of rimes I used "tbh" is abnormal. I was like jaystation or any douchetuber saying GUYS.
I was at this show but in Grand Rapids, Michigan and when that gen 4 music started, I teared up and remembered the wonder and excitement of a brand new Pokémon game on a new system (Nintendo DS) when I was a kid. I won’t ever forget the way this game made me feel. The lake trio song is easily my favorite though
I was there, it was the day after Pokemon Sun and Moon released. Best concert I have ever been to. When they played Routes of Sinnoh and N's Farewell, I literally struggled not to cry from nostalgia and just the pure joy I was experiencing. If anyone reading this ever gets the chance to see this in concert, I THOROUGHLY recommend going to see it. Absolutely amazing experience, 11/10
Every time I hear this rendition of Pallet Town, I start to cry cuz it will always be my home in the Pokemon Universe, no matter what new game comes out. That's how emotional it is to hear it
You are an absolute hero for posting this. I tried recording the piece that changed my fucking life as a teenager and got me into composing and eventuated in my love for progressive rock and death metal music (The final boss theme to Red/Blue) but there were some kids in front of me yapping that the mic reeeally picked up from that close, but then I tried moving and getting a recording of the final N fight and my phone ran out of space in the middle..... but AW SHIT YOURS DID TOO :c What a lame coincidence! At least there are other good recordings. At least you got the whole rest of the Cobb performance that I didn't cos I just wanted to kick back during a lot of it obviously haha. Seriously this was a life affirming concert for me though still so THANK YOU for this so I can relive that experience
James Peterson hahaha thanks man. it was really tiring holding the camera (steady too) for that long. and yeah i'm sorry about the n-counter theme. my phone ran out of space as you can probably imagine lol i had to delete some stuff quick.
Pokemon means so much to me. I just cried when they played "Ecruteak City." I will always remember loving Pokemon as a child, from the moment I first played Gold version as a 7-year old and saw my first pokemon card, a Bulbasaur, to later on growing up and playing 3rd gen and the Blue and Red remakes, FireRed and LeafGreen. So much love and happiness, and so many wonderful memories that help form the person I am today.
Kanto: Sure whatevs wasn't alive anyway Johto: Haven't even gotten to that part Hoenn: Nope Sinnoh: Fu.... Unova: ...*gross sobbing when N leaves* Kalos: WHY DAFUQ DO U DO DIS TO MEEE
Thank you so much for this! I am still listening to this in 2021, wish we got an official cd or something, your video seems like the only evidence left that I got experience this awesome night ( I went to the one in Chicago).
Thank you to whoever recorded this! I went to this symphony back in 2015 in Chicago and I loved it so so much. I was looking for a cd and for whatever reason there was never one released. This was such a wonderful experience, watching it again today really make my day! Thank you so much!!
I do hope the appreciation for the original music from the original games was present in the audience lol even some of these comments are asking for tracks from the newer games,...which is great, its all pokemon but...idk i guess its cuz i was 8 in 1998, and this has a huge nostalgic effect on me :'D
funny you should mention that. I was actually only planning on recording up to the end of gen 3 since I grew up playing all the old school games and thus didn't really have any nostalgia for gen 4 and above, but luckily my girlfriend took over the camera so that you all can enjoy :)
Hearing the black and white music is so sweet to my ears. Black and white is when i started playing the games super hardcore so it has a soft spot in my heart.
cada vez que escucho las rutas de sinnoh en la parte final de la routa 209 quiero llorar, recordando mi epoca de secundaria cuando fue este concierto en mexico y como le rogue a mis padres para ir. si fui y ahora es un hermoso recuerdo
The reactions of the audience when Red was choosing the starters. And then when Red picked Charmander the dissapointment of the audience was very audible
Man. Doesn't matter how old I get. I always start to tear up when "Gotta Catch'em All" comes on, but the water works began when "KISEKI" played. Got my first Pikachu when I was 6 years old, now I'm 22.
I can't help but tear up a bit with the backstory of AZ. And the ending part with the stones always gives me chills, because... throughout the game, nobody knows why those stones are there and then you finally find out and its just a harsh reality
I DONT GET WHY THE ARRANGER REMOVED THE LOW BRASS THEME FROM THE REGI BATTLE THEME THATS LIKE THE BEST PART OF THE WHOLE PIECE!!!!!!!! OTHER THAN THAT THIS CONCERT WAS THE MOST LIFE AFFIRMING THING EVER FOR ME AND I NUTTED
I like how everyone laughs when the youngster appears with the usual "i like shorts, they're comfy to wear".
Same reaction happened @ the PGH and CLE Shows ( the video says this was the Atlanta show )
Another shinning point for Pokemon followers with same memory when watching the symphony

pulsai86 man i was feeling nostalgic at the very beginning. tells you how old i am i guess.
it was over 10 years ago now i believe
Gen 4 was so boring. It had a burning feel to it.
I saw them in DC and had the same reaction, they did amazing
and now its getting remastered :D
It's absolutely criminal that they never released a CD for this. Hopefully when they decide to do this tour again, one day! We can only hope!
Hearing the entire audience break out and sing during the anime theme always brings tears to my eyes 😭
It was amazing in my city too
The conductor and MC jokingly said
“Okay Yall can sing along to this one most of you should know the words”
Why am I crying from Pokemon songs.
Because they’re powerful especially in orchestra form
Hearing the person whisper “yes!” When route 201 plays was so satisfying lol
Routes of Sinnoh got me shook. Those were some of my first games and I still think they have the best soundtrack
Jenna Carlson yeah thats my first too
I'm Mexican, and I was played Red, Crystal,Zaphiro and Esmerald, but Diamond was my first Pokemon game and I feel the same, with the soundtrack.
Sinnoh has straight up the best route themes.
Shout out to all 90s babies that grew up and experienced pokemon from the beginning
I cried when the audience started to sing the Pokemon intro.
Jacob Lindsay i cried too 😂😂😭
That's the original Pokémon anime theme not the Pokémon intro sorry I just get triggered when people mess this up.

STE -Lockes and more! Hoenn route 103/Falling ashes made me shed a tear or two...
It sounds so majestic!! 😍😍
When Red started the game and walked downstairs, I was screaming GRAB THE DANG POTION!
Being a Sinnoh Baby and hearing the first Sinnoh son live made me want to cry. It was beautiful live and still is now

Sinnoh has some of the best tracks in my opinion lol me personally I’m a Johto/Hoen so that where my nostalgia was lol 😂

No Unwavering Emotions or Victory is Right Before Your Eyes! and BW2 is skipped. RIP
Unova music and story line is reallllyyyyyyyyyyyy underrated
most the music from B2W2 is mostly the same tracks from BW with slight tweaks.
@@CommodoreMudkip not really. It has a bunch of new city themes and are themes. Would have loved to hear Aspertia city.
