@@Lou_Zasil its not safe yet. We don't know her driving skills either. It was probably for a good reason. But yeah, i wanted to see her driving it too.
JR...Your haircut looks nice...very nice "Rocky and Bullwinkle" impression....And Amber, YOUR SUMMER TOY IS ALLLLMOST DONE!!!...So happy for you!!!!.....summer-sun-fun!
So awesome. Chicks loved those things back in the 90's. Back in North Dakota when I was about 13 my friend's older sister took us for a ride in her Tracker and drove through a corn field with about 3 feet of snow in it. In 4x4 it plowed right through like it was nothing. Man this brings back the memories!
I own a 1999 Tracker...LOVE IT! It is a 2 wheel drive model with a 2.0 engine...also red...I drive it daily...I just purchased a hardtop for it...great investment...after the second soft top failed...tired of replacing soft tops... named her "Lucy"...the most dependable car I have ever owned.
This is so awesome!!! Of all your recent videos, the Tracker rebuild videos have been my favorite! Amber looks thrilled to have the Tracker running! Keep doing what you’re doing and reminding us how simple old cars are to work on. Maybe a few more 80s and 90s relics can be saved with your influence.
My 2002 Chevy tracker 4 door is really a fun car to drive. I originally bought it for my son to learn to drive because you are able to have such a great view from any side. He loves it and I try to drive it whenever I can. So fun to drive!!!!
Reminds me of my Yugo really. I had two of them. One became a parts donor for the other. That engine sounded awesome. I wish I had as many friends. I have one good friend. He helps me on projects like that. We pulled the head from my Salvage title Yugo and put it on my clean title Yugo. I eventually sold everything to a collector of everything Yugo. He was thrilled to get all the parts I had. I was thrilled to unload a turd.
Amberghini was smiling so big on the test drive. Good to see her really happy. Get those motor mounts, brakes, and check the suspension parts just for good measure. This was a good video.
This is an oddly fun series of videos to watch! It's not even mine, and I was stoked to see it start and run. Totally cool project; just as entertaining for me as watching someone pull apart a supercar LOL. Also, this is the almost exact situation that I had when I dragged home an old Alfa Romeo. After sorting the PO's misadventures out, she started and ran. One man's failed project is another's fun pastime for a few weeks. Thanks for dragging this one home and making the videos.
I love JR giving all the part numbers considering there are probably hundreds of us doing this same rebuild....lol. Congrats Amberghini. Rebuild is coming along nicely.
I'm a huge Hoovie supporter but now I've been completely sucked into you content! It's rare that I actually go start watching someone that another RUclipsr recommends but your channel is awesome and just what I enjoy watching. Please especially keep doing the car flips, those are great.
Right, same! It's almost like forbidden fruit to try and restore a Geo of any kind! So awesome though. Hell, I'd love to have one of these little guys in a stick-shift as a spring/summer cruiser XD
I have a 96 4door 4x4 did the intake 2 years ago, still have the scars! Wish this video was around then. Been waiting to do my rear brakes, I'm going to watch you first this time. Lol! Great set of videos on the tracker keep them coming!
Well, enjoy that car. Technically this is pretty much a full rebuild/reconditioning you are undertaking on this thing. If you pull it off for less than $10,000 when everything is done then you did it pretty much on the cheap as it needs a lot of parts before it is fully roadworthy. Impressive.
How can you say it was completed for $10,000 you probably know more about cars than me but if he had to spend 10k he wouldnt of ever started the project and just sold it as is
@@garretbrown8934 First off, I said, "If..." I did not say he did it. Second, he mentioned in an earlier video he bought this specifically for Ambergini as she wanted one, and it hard to find one. Third, no note that he sold it. if he plans to fix it completely for his girlfriend, it is going to take a heck of a lot more work.
Cool project. These are the best ones, where you're bringing something back from the discarded to enjoy. Not worrying if it's worth it monetarily speaking. Just doing it to make yourself (or another) happy to have and own the item. Major props. Plus it never hurts when you get some income from RUclips to support such projects. ;)
I used to have a 92’ Tracker. It always started right up and was good in the snow and was a blast to drive. It had over 200,000 on it before I sold it for extra cash
You guys should make a run to your local pick a part and see if you can find some of the interior parts your missing, along with the jack set and spare tire. Even that fan that's screwed up. Make for a cool fun video, and save a few bucks over eBay prices. Nice work getting it running! 👍
I always wanted a Geo Tracker; great rescue project, a job well done. See if you can find an old Fiat X/19 to rehab. One comment, or observation: Everyone cannot do whatever they want to do.
There's no better feeling in the world than taking something that wouldn't run and giving it some love and making it run.One mans trash is another's treasure they say.Good job guys and gal.
Congratulations! Do that lift now that I told you about, especially since you’re going to do suspension work anyway. Using those spring spacers and Crown Vic shocks in the rear, you can also put larger tires on it. (You can get some rub on the front wheels with extreme turns and larger tires, and some people simply cut out a little bit of the wheel well; I never bothered.) That lift really lets this thing go through high water conditions. I live in South Florida and drove mine through some INTENSE flooding!
Hey, got linked through hoovies channel. Just like that your based in reality. It's nice you leave in the reality if missing parts, errors. It took me 15 years to get to where I am, working in a shop. Battling shit like this every day. Some days it's complete crap, other days you get to see someone happy with their ride. Nice vids man
The surface conditioner you were using with the drill is called a 3M bristle disk.....they also come in smaller sizes in green Roloc. Each bristle on the disc has a thin wire molded into it.
