- OK...So, I have been in an overall rut for quite sometime now. My rut basically consists of me being to lazy to do anything when it comes to taking pride in the way I look and feel. I have been blaming this rut on COVID for the last couple of years, but let's be real, this rut has nothing to do with COVID and everything to do with me just being a huge lump of a human being. I have finally come to terms with the fact that this rut has nothing to do with anything else but me..."It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me". Now that I have had the aha moment it's time to get my life in order. Everything from my overall hygiene, to exercise, to eating properly is getting a complete overhaul. And I have given this life overhaul a catchy name in hopes it will keep me motivated...enter, "Sheri's Shape-Up"! Be sure to subscribe to the channel so that you can follow me on this Shape-Up journey and maybe, just maybe, (if you're in a rut) this video series will be a motivator for you too!

Sheri it's surprising how easy it is to get in a rut. You can get in a rut with anything _ food ( what to cook for dinner), what you're doing for work etc. That's why during Covid working from home, I kept up my skincare etc. I wore makeup and dressed during lock down. Sheri I'm here for this! I'm getting my exercise on!
How about teaching us dance/pole and starting a series as a part of your shape up journey?! You enjoy teaching, you get a workout, and we get to join you and shape up ourselves 😁 win win win!
if one has a pole🤔. im sure my husband would not complain about the purchase..
@Mrs_Adams - I would love to do that...but that would mean that we all need to get a home pole, and they are not cheap. Not to mention...I have zero room in this tiny house to put a pole :)
@jillpotts7472 - A good home pole is not cheap...they start at about $15 and go up from there based on ceiling height. Plus you need a good 5 to 6 feet of space all around the pole so you don't hit any walls or furniture when your doing tricks. I do know someone who purchased a free standing stage pole (but those are even more expensive...like $800 expensive) and they put it in their backyard...so that could be an option :) But that would make poling a little limited...super cold winter months and super hot summer months would be out for sure. Let's think on this one. :)

This is SO serious! I am feeling everything you are describing! I'm in frump mode! it's been 2020-2024..... You are actually someone who brings me motivation and happiness, but then I feel guilty for not doing all you bust out with home improvement and beautification lol

@Katiekay. - OMG don't feel guilty...I know it's easy said than done because...believe you me, since making this video I have not worked out once. I did hurt my back...but I have been milking that excuse for the last week and a half now. OK...but now is the time! We both have super cute titles for our program, now all we have to do is take it one step at a time. Sounds easy enough...right? At least we are here for eachother. ❤
I give you props for every day hair prep - not easy and a great step. You can do this. I’m with you on the shape up challenge.

i need this video. i always exercised like crazy. but for the last year or so, i've been lazy or tired or.. i don't push myself. im not taking care of myself either. but i don't feel like pushing myself.. so maybe this video will inspire me... i need this bff

I would never have thought any of what you just shared was true. You are the hardest worker and do it yourselfer and can plank longer than anyone, you taught pole, redid a back yard, cheered for 49ers .... C' mon !!... here is alot of amazing goin on. Don't be too hard on yourself. That little pouch will disappear in no time!! I will watch and see where this goes, you 'll always have my support, girlfriend. Go for it at your own pace, you'll do awesome!! love ya.😊❤
@chiagirlmyfatcat896 - You are so sweet...and when you put it that way, you're right...there is a lot of amazing going on. But let's not forget...I cheered for the Niners like 25 years ago and I haven't taught pole for almost a year now. The exercise is lacking and I need to step it up (I say that knowing I haven't been on the Better Me app to exercise since making this video...don't tell anyone).
@@ThisisRealLifeWithSheri OK, mum's the word. Lol. I agree though, you could have a better daily diet and that might even be enough to start the energy up for exercise! You'll be OK.
I’d love to see a weekly follow up or biweekly or maybe also make it where we go to your fb or instagram to see more updates in between your RUclips ones. That builds the other platforms traffic as well!!! Love you. Might get the app as well.
@stormy5029 - My plan is to do updates through RUclips Shorts and Instagram posts, then do like full on update videos once a month or so...I just need to get started.
Ha I’ve been in a midlife crisis funk too 😂 last week I went mountain biking with my 23yr old son….i can defo advise *against* that 😂 I thought I would die on the mountain my heart rate trying to cycle up hill was 182bpm 😮
I’ll be resuming yoga and walking on Monday 😂

I feel you on the sleeping late... I have to wake up at 4:40 but I wear scrubs Thank God ( I feel the need to iron them, though... Catholic school has made me neurotic about a crisp uniform)
@Katiekay. - My mom was the one who made me neurotic about ironing. "The way you look outside of the house is a direct reflection on me." One year she threatened to throw away all of my new school clothes if I didn't iron them before hanging them in my closet. And since I have been so lazy...but also wanting to wear something other than jeans and a t-shirt, I've been pulling out skirts and shirts that don't need to be ironed (which doesn't leave many options). We probably need to get in the habit of picking out our outfits and ironing them the night before :(
Flip flops need to go at home only I always wear shoes no crocs ect I wear the hell out of my crocs at home only
@jefftackett282 - Well...you are way better than me. I've been loving my flip flops these days. But, if my plan works out, I will be saving my flip flops for the weekends only :)
Exactly this happend to me when I stopped teaching classes at the gym. I just stopped exercising period. I made the mistake of not trying to find a new everyday routine and before i knew it, slowly over time I gained 10 kg. For someone who’s always been very active and always stayed in shape it was a massive change, I also started hurting everywhere. 😩
I’m aware i’m not really overweight per say, but i don’t recognise my self and I hate that. So i’m joining you on this, but i’m going back to my Thai Boxing and then adding some homeworkouts.
@andreakarlsson7927 - Isn't it crazy how fast our bodies are like..."Oh, we're not working out anymore...guess that means it's ok to start packing on the pounds." I remember when I quit dancing for the Niners, I gained like 10 pounds the net day...it's insane. I'm so happy we are hear to motivate eachother, cause your right... it's not that we are overweight, we just want to be a little happier when we look in the mirror. We can do this...I know it!

@-v_- - Seriously...water is so not my jam. Not to mention, I have to get up from my desk to go pee like 4 times a day when I drink just one 20 oz glass of water. And no...I did not drink my water today. Two StarBucks mochas, but no water :( I'll try to guzzle down some water when I get home...but I make you know promises. :)

I use my bullet acai powder frozen strawberry frozen blue berries an entire banana makes a great acai smoothie love them you can add fruit honey ect

@andreakarlsson7927 - Thank you for saying so. I know it doesn't seem like much, but honestly it is a major step for me. Throwing my hair up in a pony tail is just so much quicker and easier...straightening it every morning takes forever (not really forever, but it feels like it and I would rather be sleeping) But baby steps...right?

You have a gorgeous physique!! Have you considered putting your outfit together the night before? I think your hair looks really good in a ponytail too. I'd do that and use the extra time for a little makeup.

@rhondapelletier2141 - Thank you for noticing. I'm still testing that redlight therapy cap...I've been wearing it every other day. But, I think that my hair looked extra good in this video because I had just colored it and it was freshly washed and straightened :)

I’ve got meal plans, meal prep, challenges and workouts galore! All kinds of them and I’d hold you accountable and for sure give you a check mark! 😂 Remember, results will come if you follow the golden rule… it’s 80% nutrition & 20% exercise 😁 I can give you some short 15-20 minute works that will burn way more than 69 calories 😂 Side note : I personally don’t go by everything those apps calculate. A female that weighs 129 lbs burns 69 calories vs (let’s say) 159 lbs would burn 83 calories doing the exact same workout .
Since you’re just really trying to look good, feel good & tone it up, I’m liking your plan! Ignore the stupid scale !

Can't work out can't get off floor but I do try to walk as much as I can being having a heart dr. And being in heart failure program I love your videos but the active workout video dance ect I just won't watch I'm sorry sugar carb free I'm in.

@@ThisisRealLifeWithSheri i like some of them. i add zucchini noodles and other veggies to most of them for more substance, nutrition with out alot of calories. i like smart ones too
