Hi - I’m catching up on all your fantastic videos. Ive been using oneskin for about 6 months. The fine lines on my face have definitely gone away. My crows feet have also reduced, but they're still there. I personally love it. It's expensive but a little goes a long way. I share one bottle with my husband and it has taken about 3 months to get through it.
Thank you Clare for bringing us these new brands…..I was totally onboard until she mentioned “clean” 🙄 I can’t believe a scientist would use such a term, too much marketing & not enough science for me 😊
That also somehow ticked me off. I suddenly found myself at odds with the data, these women are throwing at us. They are now trying to get on the "Droplet" device. As oppsed to getting more data, and pushing their discovery,. Something stinks. This made me think, this is just BASIC skincare. The buzzword like "CLEAN' (being used up and down the Isle of the beauty industry), I want them to define this term, as Im tired of hearing this word bandied about like its some major find, but really it's for "Virtue Points" to push the brand, as "Clean Beauty" has MAJOR problems, in itself.
I find this product exciting and did go through a couple of bottles (their packaging is really impressive now with the plastic only being part of your first order) - however I paused my subscription hoping they will come out with a serum version instead of the cream. Crossing my fingers!
I used the oneskin body and for 6 months and I'm on the 7th month with the face. With the body cream, I used on 1 upper arm and shin, and used Cereve daily with ceramides on the other. After 5 months, there was no detectable difference between the 2 arms. They improved or looked worse in step with each other, depending on my hydration, how moist skin was, or if i'd tugged on it while showering or applying. There is no difference in my face. No change in lines, pores, sagging. My earlier pics look the same.
That's really interesting to hear. Thanks for sharing your experience. My 80-year-old mum is using the face cream at the moment. I thought she would make an interesting test case!!
I'm 66 and figured Id be a great test case too! I'm looking forward to hearing your mum's experience. So far, no product that Ive tried, even 1% retinol nightly, has diminished a single line, despite a healthful diet and good habits. Vitamin C and BHA have both made skin softer and brighter, but that's it. I found the oneskin hype to be suspicious. When i emailed to unquire anout using the product with Vitamin C or other serums, the answer was so vague as to be useless. It was basically advice to do whatever i thought worked. When i asked what ingredients in their cleanser made it different and more effective than other cleansers, the response was commercial advertisement for what the product purported to do, but not an answer as to why it was better. Guess i can't expect much. I'm still waiting for more reviews with the same lighting and clinical studies. As mentioned, in vitro is not the same as in vivo.
Unfortunately they didn’t ship to the uk. I messaged and they say they hope to ship internationally but don’t yet have a time frame on when that will happen.
So I recently started the adipeau facial serum/cream but this sounds great too! I think I will use adipeau for several mos before adding or changing anything up. Thx for the info Clare!!❤
They don’t seem to be available outside North America at the moment but I am waiting to hear back on when that might change. I’ll update when I know more.
The folks at Alastin have done a lot of extended interviews in the past, I feel like I've had great success with their products and they used punch biopsies in their studies. You should see if they want to chat.
Fat loss is probably the worst thing that can happen. I would suggest to look for volumizing bio stimulatory that are approved for fat loss in HIV positive patients like Hyperdiluted Radiesse and Sculptra.
I spent over $300 on the bundle set and sadly what I noticed while using Oneskin were my forehead lines were becoming more prominant and it was making my skin itchy.
I wonder if you reacted to one of the ingredients. I've not heard this from other viewers but unfortunately it can happen. I would write to OneSkin and let them know. Some skincare companies may offer at least a partial refund.
Hi Amanda. I’m waiting to hear back from OneSkin about when they’ll deliver more widely. I’m in the UK and would also like to be able to order it. I’ll update when I hear more.
Great video, thinking of trying this cream/serum but is is expensive expecially when you have to pay the amount in CDN Funds, for me it will be another $50 over the US Price.I can't use retinal so might be worthy a try. For me, "Less is More". I have been using Vit C from Protocol lab and their moisturizing cream. Do they olfer a starter kit.
I've used this product and I'm a longterm retin a user as well, so I started off with very good skin. I'm 43 and it took about 3 months use to see a difference. I would say this product and tretinoin are very close in terms of the effect. I can only afford to use this at night and use vitamin c in the morning though.
@@stacyrlee of you largely want to waste your money , yes. Better option if you can't handle retin A , but with proven efficacy is Tazarotene cream 0.1%.
I’m 65 and have no wrinkles or age spot just some slackness on the neck I don’t like lasers because I think that over time they harm your skin. It’s all about absorbing natural creams, eating well, intermittent fasting, sun screen, exercise and sleep.
I have been researching skin care for years including advice from my top uk plastic surgeon and excellent dermatologist. Nothing can penetrate deep enough through the stratum cornea; if it did it would be on prescription like Tretinoin etc.
It's a good point, but while I agree that most skincare creams are unlikely to penetrate the stratum corneum I think there is good evidence to suggest some ingredients (including peptides) can and indeed do penetrate the skin barrier.
Hi Clare ..I love your videos and am grateful that your advice is so reliable . I would love to buy some Oneskin products. Can you tell me what website I should visit . Thanks Susie
Hi Susan. So glad you find the videos helpful. I’ve included a link with discount code on the video description if you click ‘show more’ on the text box just underneath the video. Unfortunately they don’t deliver outside the US and Canada at the moment but I will update as and when that changes.
I am a 79 year old female and products with HA cause breakouts for me. Did I understand from her that there are different levels of HA so this may work for me?
The supplement does contain hyaluronic acid so if that's something that causes breakouts I couldn't say whether this product would be any different I'm afraid.
You could try Adipeau, it doesn’t contain HA. Watch Clare’s interview with Ivan from Adipeau, I was convinced enough to try it and am seeing some improvements in my skin. Also ships worldwide and not outrageously expensive

I don't know if it is the lighting or something in this video, but your skin does look improved from when you first did the Adipeau videos. Seems to definitely be working. I think I may do that one for my lower face and this one for my upper face, so I can test them at the same time. Really I need the fat/volume lower and wrinkle removal upper, so that works out for me. Thanks for helping me find these. Btw, your coupon code isn't working.
That sounds like a good approach because the Adipeau isn’t as effective on the forehead and temples but seems to work better under the eyes and on the cheeks and jowls. Is it the OneSkin code you’re having trouble with or Adipeau? The OneSkin code only works on one-off orders rather than subscription.
@@thehonestchannel The Adipeau one worked. It was the OneSkin that didn't. Probably because I first did for subscribe, then switched to one off. Cookies probably made it still not work.

This means that you can safely incorporate them into your current routine without any additional changes. To learn more about how to integrate OneSkin into your current routine,
Have you tried the Rejuran PDRN turnover ampoule topical skincare? It’s getting a lot of talk. Some people say you need to use spicules, micro needle or injection as a biostimulator with PDRN but others say this Rejuran skincare is good on its own. I bought it on Amazon - will return if I don’t like it bc it’s $52.

@@marleenscholte2738 Not too long to wait now! There are a few viewers who’ve been using it who have started to leave feedback in the comments of the first video. Seems positive
This was fascinating, thank you! I’m intrigued about the oral longevity supplements that were alluded to. Can anyone share what those are? From what I’ve culled from the comments, I think fisetin, NMN, and TMG perhaps? I’m so exhausted from pouring money into useless supplements that end up turning my cupboards into pill graveyards so would like to focus on ones that are evidence-based.
I know exactly what you mean. NMN is the main one but it has recently been banned as a dietary supplement in the US. I take Tru Niagen every other day. I only recently started taking it and it’s pretty expensive but is the most evidenced. That and high strength vitamin D.
Yeah I agree trancedimi. Getting to the truth is bloody exhausting alright. You really have to be persistent to get to the bottom of it. It can be very confusing, especially you're not awesome at interpreting the data/findings. Even the experts don't know half the time I reckon... haha.
Nmn, collagen type 1 and 3, Omega 3, glycine. Diet wise: the anti inflammatory diet that is lower carbohydrate to ensure stability of blood sugar. Avoiding alcohol, fried food and processed food. Time restricted eating also seems highly effective.
Oh dear. It’s been working fine so far. It can only be used once per customer and on one-time purchases but I can ask OneSkin to check it out. Sorry about that.
Are face exercises worth doing? I'm overwhelmed by the amount of information there is on the subject. There's face massages, face yoga and face aerobics to name but a few. I can't find a plausible approach or feasible routine for me. It's worse than skincare and skincare is insane! Face scrubs, serums and everything else. I don't know where to begin. Today I purchased a simple (literally, the company is called, "simple") face wash for less than £3. I guess it's a start and I'll see how I get on. Next I'll add some night and day moisturizer along with some sun screen. Later I'll grab some vitamin c serums and eye serum. After that I'll include some retinol. If all of that does not get rid of my crow's feet and forehead lines I don't know what I'll do beyond once again braving the world of face exercises.
It’s an absolute maze isn’t it. The jury is out on face exercises in that they can cause you to lose volume due to reduced facial fat. A dermaroller is a good idea, along with a retinoid, vitamin c serum and sunscreen. Less is more!

There’s a hack for pricing. Choose the subscription. The product actually lasts 6 weeks or more. Make it last. Target usage of body cream making it last. Stretch it out. Also many women stop using all the other products and focus on this most restorative technology. That’s how I’m justifying the cost.
Your skin relies 80% on what you eat/ your health on the inside, and only 20% on the outside (skincare), because skin is also an organ just like your heart, lungs and blood.
Unfortunately , the interviewer does not understand longevity science or scientific methodology and rigourous testing of products ( placebo controlled trials , cell line application limitations , longitudional studies etc ). This makes it easy for such an individual to discuss and promote such products without solid evidence that they produce visible results (without showing statistically significant results or any results that can be quantitatively measured in a robust way ). The skin is a barrier , it does it's job well and rightly so . Many products are too large to go beyond the dead corneal layer, unless the skin is perforated. No entry ! Save your money ladies, or if you do want real results try exercise , good sleep hygiene , Mediterranean diet and oral MNM, T.MG , vitamin c and marine collagen ...now that'll blow the socks off anything this line of hyperexpensive largely / very minimally delivering product line . Add to it return A , and sun screen .You'll see results in 4 -9 weeks , age / health dependent. weeks
@@thehonestchannel I have to add that they never published my bad review on their website (i tried twice and was very polite, just saying: "no results for me"), and if you check, their pictures "before-after" are alwyas taken with a different angle, so for me it's a scam.
I’ve been using this stuff FAITHFULLY, twice a day for six months. I give every new supplement or topical treatment six months to prove itself. But I have to say, at the end of the six mon this, if I don’t see any difference, in the slightest, I will not continue the product. Therefore, after I finish my sixth container of Oneskin, I will cancel my subscription.
Another $100+ product that needs to be bought frequently and results may vary. I'm a little tired of this industry. They all sell uncertainties at certainly high prices.
Alarming to see someone with scientific training spout fear-mongering mumbojumbo about “clean products.” I am intrigued by OneSkin but this interview convinced me that it’s likely snake oil.
So you don’t think she recognised the anti aging epidemic and wanted to make a stash of money and that’s why she went into this field. What a waste of time!
The key active ingredient that she discusses in the video is their proprietary peptide. On their site under the product listings they include details of six other supporting active ingredients including oleic pau mulato extract, niacinamide, pracaxi and andiroba oil. I would have liked to have drilled into the ingredients a little more with Carolina but her time was limited.
I assume it would be mitochondria-encoded peptides humanin, MOTS-c, SHLP2 and SHLP6. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6046248/ Cellular senescence is a complex cell fate response that is thought to underlie several age-related pathologies. Despite a loss of proliferative potential, senescent cells are metabolically active and produce energy-consuming effectors, including senescence-associated secretory phenotypes (SASPs). Mitochondria play crucial roles in energy production and cellular signaling, but the key features of mitochondrial physiology and particularly of mitochondria-derived peptides (MDPs), remain underexplored in senescence responses. Here, we used primary human fibroblasts made senescent by replicative exhaustion, doxorubicin or hydrogen peroxide treatment, and examined the number of mitochondria and the levels of mitochondrial respiration, mitochondrial DNA methylation and the mitochondria-encoded peptides humanin, MOTS-c, SHLP2 and SHLP6. Senescent cells showed increased numbers of mitochondria and higher levels of mitochondrial respiration, variable changes in mitochondrial DNA methylation, and elevated levels of humanin and MOTS-c. Humanin and MOTS-c administration modestly increased mitochondrial respiration and selected components of the SASP in doxorubicin-induced senescent cells partially via JAK pathway. Targeting metabolism in senescence cells is an important strategy to reduce SASP production for eliminating the deleterious effects of senescence. These results provide insight into the role of MDPs in mitochondrial energetics and the production of SASP components by senescent cells.
The oils must just be a carrier base - as it is impossible for an oil molecule to penetrate the skin - on top of the skin will Give the outside cuticle of the skin a softer feel - they do not penetrate - very unusual that she should use an oil base for a Peptide - it is interesting that a lot of the skin care companies now Are not hiding their active ingredients - they are Openly discussing it with their intelligent consumers - as consumers not only wants to know about the active ingredients - which are protected by patent - they also want to know about quantities that the cream contains of the active ingredient - example the ordinary company - they have multi peptide serums - and they’re happy to discuss all of their ingredients - they have informed consumers - No fancy advertising or packaging and keeping peptides very low priced
This product does not create any difference in any aspect of skin. USED IT 6 MONTHS Thanks David Sinclair - Another blunder of his. Did the face cream 3 bottles and 2 bottles on my body. Super expensive and zero results. Keep working Carolina!!!
Really sorry this didn't work out for you. In years to come we will be able to buy peptide-based creams and serums that are formulated according to the types of peptides our skin particularly lacks and could benefit from replacing. At the moment though, we have no way of analyzing that and therefore telling which peptides are best suited to our skin. It means someone like my mum can see great results with a product like this and another person zero. Frustrating, I know.

@@beyond50skinYou’re welcome!
Ive been using oneskin for about 6 months. The fine lines on my face have definitely gone away. My crows feet have also reduced, but they're still there. I personally love it. It's expensive but a little goes a long way. I share one bottle with my husband and it has taken about 3 months to get through it.
That’s great to hear. Thanks for sharing your experience
🤣
Thank you Clare for bringing us these new brands…..I was totally onboard until she mentioned “clean” 🙄 I can’t believe a scientist would use such a term, too much marketing & not enough science for me 😊
Thanks Linda. ‘Clean’ is definitely one of those buzzwords right now!
@Linda Joy Agreed. She lost me at “San Francisco” based. I am immediately skeptical. (But so far love the content of this channel).
I find this product exciting and did go through a couple of bottles (their packaging is really impressive now with the plastic only being part of your first order) - however I paused my subscription hoping they will come out with a serum version instead of the cream. Crossing my fingers!
Thanks for sharing your experience Angela!

Yes, I hope they'll be able to ship internationally before too long.
So I recently started the adipeau facial serum/cream but this sounds great too! I think I will use adipeau for several mos before adding or changing anything up. Thx for the info Clare!!❤
Me too Pina. Think I’ll see how I go with the Adipeau first but I’m also interested in trying this out.

The folks at Alastin have done a lot of extended interviews in the past, I feel like I've had great success with their products and they used punch biopsies in their studies. You should see if they want to chat.
Great suggestion, thanks.
How about fat pads loss and bone loss in the face which are also very much part of the aging process? Is this face cream going to address that too?
No. In their models they did not include fat cells.
Fat loss is probably the worst thing that can happen. I would suggest to look for volumizing bio stimulatory that are approved for fat loss in HIV positive patients like Hyperdiluted Radiesse and Sculptra.

Hopefully we see the pricing of these innovative new skincare products become more accessible over time.
@@thehonestchannel That is a possibility! Thanks for your response :)

Hi Amanda. I’m waiting to hear back from OneSkin about when they’ll deliver more widely. I’m in the UK and would also like to be able to order it. I’ll update when I hear more.
Thanks for sharing Clare. Are you trying OneSkin yourself and reporting back? It's on my list!
They have sent me a face cream to try so I will try to fit it in at some point. Be interested to hear what you think of it. I think Claudia is a fan.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience Courtney. What kind of difference to your skin have you seen with OneSkin?
Did you trial this desperately, or did you use in tandem with retin A?
Then it seems it would be a good option for those who can’t handle using retin A.

@A C Agreed.

That is interesting when she asked her why she went into this area of research and development with her qualifications and degree , I said out loud duhhh ‘to make money of course, that’s why 🙄
Isn’t it great?

This is what it says:
At their core, our Topical Supplements are moisturizers, so we recommend applying them after cleansing and before sunscreen.
OS-01 FACE and OS-01 BODY have not been shown to produce adverse reactions with other products and ingredients, including retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid. This means that you can safely incorporate them into your current routine without any additional changes. To learn more about how to integrate OneSkin into your current routine,
Vitamin K2, Vitamin C, retinoids and Glutathione are some other anti-aging options
It does look interesting although it’s trickier to buy here in the UK so I’d need to order from overseas. Do let us know here if you think it makes a difference and thanks for flagging this product.

Even the experts don't know half the time I reckon... haha.

We have been using One Skin, Since day 1 of their product launch!

There’s a hack for pricing. Choose the subscription. The product actually lasts 6 weeks or more. Make it last. Target usage of body cream making it last. Stretch it out. Also many women stop using all the other products and focus on this most restorative technology. That’s how I’m justifying the cost.
Great tip. Do you use the body cream for your face? My mum loves this stuff.
@@thehonestchannel I use body cream everywhere but face.

What is the active ingredient everybody talks around it - we’re gonna talk science and let’s talk active ingredient
I assume it would be mitochondria-encoded peptides humanin, MOTS-c, SHLP2 and SHLP6. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6046248/
Cellular senescence is a complex cell fate response that is thought to underlie several age-related pathologies.
