I’ve been taking nmn 450mg for a month and I noticed a spike in my energy straight away, work outs are much more enjoyable, deep sleep and dreams, skin is noticeably softer (I am 54)… went to a function with friends and family recently and two people asked what I was doing as I look younger! So I am hooked, I believe incorporating daily exercise and good nutrition is part of this as they help to generate the effects even more. The Pulse is a good Chanel to follow on this subject.
Absolutely bang on with exercise and healthy diet we have to remember that the benefit to our gut and body health is through fermented foods. Has been the Asian way for centuries
I like supplements, but EVERYONE should read "Fast and grow young". Our bodies are incredible miraculous creations with the ability to heal itself! All of todays "Dis-eases" are created by our diet. Our food lacks the nutrition it once had, and even 'organic food' has toxins from the soil. Fasting has long been doen throughout many cultures, and even animals instinctively 'fast' when they're sick. The book is fabulous and very eye opening.
@@PierreDybman ANY disease! You’re trying to open a whole other discussion. But yes, our bodies are designed to fight any ailment. Any signs of infection, such as runny nose, fever, cough, etc - they’re all SYMPTOMS of our bodies fight. The problem today is that most people will run to the drugstore to get whatever remedy they can, instead of realizing that our body NEEDS the fever, it needs the getting rid of phlegm! If dogs or cats, or any other animals get sick, they don’t eat! The body is naturally designed to go into fasting mode, so it can use all its resources to fight whatever disease. Digestion takes up the most energy, so if we constantly feed our bodies, it takes away resources from this fight. I referenced a book in my original response that I feel everyone should read. There is so much research and information on this subject … one only has to want to learn. God bless 🙏🏼
This regimen sounds great ! I am on a low budget so I use Nicotinic acid instead of NMN. Dr. Stanfield says that NMN and NR are quickly converted to Nicotinic acid after ingestion, so Dr. Stanfield uses 51mg Nicotinic acid instead of NMN. Exercise I do now - (To Raise Blood Oxygen, drop blood sugar, strengthen legs, arms and back) : One or Two Minute Exercise Every Hour. Sit on side of bed holding a small 5# weight in each hand at head level. Stand, pushing weights up and inhaling through nose. Sit down, dropping weights back to original position. While moving down, with mouth closed, blow hard and release air on way down. The back pressure on the way down increases oxygen transfer to blood. VO5 will increase. Continue exercise set for 2 minutes. Do one set per hour. This has been shown to drop blood sugar spike so do extra sets after eating carbohydrates. Varation: Hold weights down. While standing up, pull weights up under arm pits to tone biceps.
In March 2022, I decided that I was sick of being 16st. I did these things 1. Cut out sugar 2. Cut out carbs 3. Began a carnivore OMAD LIFESTYLE!!!!!! This is not a diet it is a life choice. I am now a healthy 10st. ( Though BMI said I should be 7.5st. Ermmmm no way I would look terrible🥹) I take NMN and TMG as-well as other supplements. At 60 I feel better than I did at 30. I have energy confidence and a new zest for life. PS Love the channel ❤
@@snowyowl6892 Great question. TBH I do not know if TMG makes a difference . It’s my understanding that the NMN will eventually work but TMG activates it and specs up the process. I definitely look and feel better, but how much if this do I contribute to NMN or living a different lifestyle????? It’s the same with all supplements I think. Only if we stop will we know if they did any good. Hope this helps.
@@snowyowl6892 Taking TMG/betaine along with NMN (or NR) helps with healthy methylation in the body -- it replenishes the methyl groups, since boosting NAD+ drains methyl groups, which can affect various biological functions. Studies also suggest that TMG may help reduce higher levels of homocysteine that can harden arteries, help manage fatty liver, help with insulin resistance, and with managing symptoms of anxiety and depression. The recommendation is to take equal parts TMG and NMN/NR.
I was in bad health and overweight about 6 years ago. Sleep Apnoea and Acid Reflux. I was about 58 then. I felt consistently terrible. After some research, I changed to a Keto lifestyle. I shed the excess weight easily and never felt hungry on one meal a day. Sleep Apnoea and Acid Reflux gone. However, I think those things caused damage that I will have live with. I would urge everyone to adopt a healthy Keto lifestyle. Don't wait to get overweight and sick (insulin resistance). Prevention is best.
During the lockdowns I fasted, went paleo and rapidly lost 22 kg going from hypertensive pre diabetes to perfect. A daily one hour walk to and from the gym was also helpful
The tiredness is exactly how you are supposed to feel at night. It means that your circadian rhythm has been reset. Awake during the day and sleepy and ready for bed come night time. I had a similar experience going fully carnivore. Great sleeps and fully awake as soon as my alarm went off and I was ready to go for the day.
Exactly!!! I was just going to post about this! People need to get realigned with our bodies and with nature. Also screen time before bedtime that she describes is terrible practice. It is SO important to take sleep seriously for health.
I add AKG and creatine as well. At 70, the berberine is better for me with breakfast and dinner, but your supplement regime is sound and gets desired results.
I’ve been keto/ carnivore for ten years. Now 60 yrs young I feel fantastic. So much energy and cleared ALL my health issues . Stopped menopausal symptoms within months x
Margaret, can yo tell me any more details I am turning 60 this year and I started on a menopause patch .. I does help fight hot flashes. But I'd rather not be on them
Oh dear...I've been taking nmn for a about a month now during dinner 😳😳 I've been confused as to why I can't sleep at night. Literally an hour ago my friend asked me how my sleep has been and i said i have to take sleeping pills to even sleep a few hours. Ive always slept 9 hours a night. THANK YOU for this interview ❤️💛💕!!
Thanks for introducing Dr Seranova, she has a wonderful ability to explain things precisely and clearly. I know NMN works because at first I took it at night and had the worst sleeps with a hyperactive mind ! Although at the same time my ability to absorb information dramatically increased. Now it's the first thing to take when I wake up before I exercise. The mind does remain clearer and more grounded. I've slowly come to regard carbs as the enemy, in some ways a poison, and here is confirmation that Keto with a lot of low carb veg is the way ahead. Cycling is a good idea, I have found the effects diminishing although maybe I'm just getting used to it.
I’ve been taking NMN for about three weeks and the first week was terrible. No energy, tired, sluggish- week three it’s finally got better! I feel rested in the morning, got energy during the day and im not wiped out after the day at night. It’s not the big burst I keep hearing about more a steady and consistent energy.
That's really interesting because I felt tired for the first few weeks too and that's resolved. I do think I have more energy overall - just as well as I really need it right now!
@@snowyowl6892... are you sure it's a reaction because I'm about to send my NMN back to the company, I feel horrible taking it for about a week now at 150 mgs?
She is riding on the coattails of Sinclair while selling the supplements he recommends. Berberine is a non script alternative to Sinclair's darling, metformin.
I take 500mg of NMN (based on human trials results) on Wednesday and Saturday mornings hours before eating my first meal at noon. Also I take resveratrol after dinner on Wednesday and Sundays, especially if there’s oils or fats in the meal. I was 56 when I started 4 years ago, feeling great so far, hair seems to have stopped greying 🤞 (To be precise I take 250mg in the morning on an empty stomach then the other 250mg in the afternoon between or before a meal)
Thanks for sharing this. It’s a really interesting approach and one I’ll speak to my mum and dad about. I’d rather not take NMN every day without breaks.
@@theo5261 Too much of anything isn’t a good thing and I’m the same with vitamins I think of them as stains that permeate the body, just as it gets cleared from the body a few days later, then there’s another hit to top it up. Moderation seems prudent and in the long run there should still be benefits.
I just started watching. I have taken all 3 of these supplements for 6 months and to be ownest with you i noticed no difference. That's why i stopped. Have a great evening!!
I have taken nmn supplements , TMG and berbrine ( which is also found in cinnamon if you drink cinnamon with hot water ) for a year . I noticed not much of a difference . HOWEVER when I took NAD plus via IV drip , that had a turbo affect on me , killed my sugar cravings , I have a sharper focus , better quality of sleep and decreased my anxiety substantially. And also I recover so fast from my work outs . I highly recommend taking the drips , they have a higher dose and goes through ur blood stream . Having said that I still take the supplements and I also take multi vitamins and probiotics developed by a neuroscientist . I also have a Celluma infra red panel that I am addicted too . 😅😊😊😂😂😂
I really wish this channel would feature guests who don't have a commercial motive. I take NMN/NR, but I get my information from credentialed sources (reputable MDs and PhDs) who aren't selling the supplements. Same with cosmetic products and devices. It's just more credible to rely on evidence-based research and get information from people who aren't promoting their products.

My thoughts exactly! I was trying to wrap my head around what bothered me about the video. More like a very carefully placed out, disguised ' informercial.
Thanks for the info! I've recently come across Pycnogenol and am starting to take it. I've read some amazing benefits, like it increases hyaluronic acid levels in the skin up to 40%! It also helps with blood circulation. Keeping the blood vessels on the face healthy and living is important to aging gracefully.
@@pineapple365 I've been taking the Now brand 100 mgs once a day, it also contains AMLA. I take it with arginine and ornithine upon awakening. A&O seem to burn fat for me. I'm on day 3. No side effects and I can tolerate taking it on an empty stomach.
@@pineapple365 BTW, The Ordinary has a 5% Pycnogenol topical. I've been using it for a couple of days. I don't really like how it feels on my face but I shall persevere.
Thank you for this fascinating and informative video! :) I'm wondering if you take a B vitamins complex, in addition to NMN? Is it fine to take niacin in addition to NMN? I have been taking Seeking Health's B-Minus Complex which contains 50 mg niacin but I don't know if that's compatible with NMN. All best wishes from Brighton ^_^
I'm curious about your age. From what I've seen, the younger you are, the less of a difference. Another viewer mentioned Brad Stanfield, who is in his 30s, and some of his choices for his own supplements are based on his age. He has said he will do things differently after 40, 50, and more.
@@kmjdebay I was in my early 40s when I took NMN, mid 40s now. I follow Dr. Stanfield as well and he's actually stopped taking NMN and plans to start taking NR once he reaches his mid 40s. He's just not convinced about the research so far. It's hard navigating all these supplements as you always seem to have to take all kinds of different ones together . Once you start taking one, you need to take two other ones to counteract some effects of the first one. Then after you've done that for a while one of the people you follow in the field will come out with a video on why they stopped taking it. At least if it did something for me it would be worth the time, effort and money. Same with all the beauty products and devices. You start out very committed, but it just becomes too frustrating at some point. I'm on a cavewoman break for the time being, watching it all unfold from the sidelines.
Clare, with all this talk about blood glucose levels, have you considered wearing a continuous glucose monitor for a few weeks to *actually* track it? There are several on the market. Levels comes to mind. Zoe offers one as well if you agree to be in their study/ies. I just think, rather than say you “feel” like your blood glucose is this or that, it would be more convincing if you *know.*
What do you think about glutathione? Glutathione is supposed to have anti-aging effects and it is composed of three amino acids: 1) NAC (n-acetyl cysteine) which is also supposed to be anti-aging, likely because it is a precursor to glutathione 2) glycine which is also anti-aging for the same reason as NAC and 3) glutamine which is good for gut health.
This is all based on anti-aging pioneer, Harvard's David Sinclair's protocol, which has proven results. I advise going easy on the berberine if you have stomach and digestion issues, as it caused terrible cramping in my intestines. I recommend Metformin (off-label) for blood sugar control for those that have similar issues.
Please clarify, the Doctor stated the study about NMN and cancer patients, and she said the study was actually using NR - she repeated that cancer patients should not take vitamin B, so is she saying it's safe to take NMN or not? ❤ I am a cancer survivor undergoing testing for a possible recurrence, and I've been taking NMN for almost 5 months ... Thank you!!
I'm following Dr. David Sinclair. He has years of experience in research. Interesting regarding Resveratrol, low dose to lengthen life. If you're older, perhaps the shadow of tumors in the background, high dose of Resveratrol ....seeks out and destroys possible tumours situation. So one product 2 different purposes. Check out the man. Damning thing..NMN banned in EU from this year. Why? Perhaps Big Pharma feels threatened?
In 1982 Pearson & Shaw in "Life Extension, A practical scientific approach" suggested caution in abruptly stopping megadoses of water soluble vitamins because of the potential of causing symptoms of vitamin deficiency if cells and tissues acclimated to high levels of vitamins are suddenly deprived of them. For this reason I doubt that "cycling" a water soluble co-enzyme like NMN is a good idea, at least not without a gradual taper off the dosage over a period of two or three weeks. For the same reasons Dr. Seranova recommends ramping up dosage when starting a new supplement, when quitting I think it advisable to ramp down the dosage over time as well. Cells seek to maintain Homeostasis, and abrupt changes mess with that.
Very useful information especially when there are so many doctors promoting their supplements & diets! Hard to know which is best & right for one or what may be just hype. Thank you for investigative reporting! PS. Maybe your father may want to try the red light therapy on his feet for his arthritis to see if it may help as well?
Thanks Eileen. There is a lot of conflicting information out there at the moment, that's for sure! That's why I usually position myself somewhere in the middle of it all!!
Please run an nad test as soon as possible. Ideally you would run the test before the supplements, but you should do it soon to keep track of the progress. At your age your nad level should be at half of a teenager, so if you take the test now you can compare against that. I would be very interested i hearing your results. Also, you want to consider taking a biological age test, your biological age should decrease as you take NMN and TMG. If you take that test also please share your results.
One very strange thing re NMN is eyesight.... February cataracts, July cararacts both eye, looking through fog. Mid August up to mid October taking NMN. Vague idea that i could see things, less fog ++. Ran out of MNM . Went to hospital specialist. Eyes are good! Now 6 days without MNM can't read small print, fog descends. There is no other explanation that i can imagine. Why aren't i taking MNM? Can't get hold of it. I have a supply in the EU customs and they aren't releasing it. Banned substance in EU. The long reach of big Phama.
This sugar, insulin problem is recent. I think the biggest factor is the destruction of the gut biom from the onslaught of desiccants, pesticides used in growing food and the 100's of additives to food and antibiotics. I think the gut was to preprocess the sugars before being absorbed into the body.
I tell people to shop the perimeter of the supermarket where the coolers of fresh food is kept. I also love my bulletproof coffee with grass fed butter
With so much talk about ketogenic and especially carnivore diets, I'm curious how this impacts the microbiome. I can't imagine one getting much resistant starch from a meat heavy diet but I'd love to hear an expert opinion on this.
I feel like potatoes shouldn't be a problem. But there are a lot of GMO potatoes, and with all the big farms and year round growing, the soil may no longer have the nutrients. And even organic potatoes, people peel them! I always leave the peel on mine.
No, and that is a bit of an issue with vitamins and supplements, as recently flagged by Dr Brad Stanfield, on this channel. We don't know a huge amount about what happens when we combine multiple supplements.
It should be taken at least 6 months to restore the broken DNA. It will gradually raise NAD+ levels in our body only after a few weeks, but ideally, to see results on a cellular level, it should be taken for at least 6 months.
Thank you Clare for your investigative interviews. My understanding is to take resveratrol with NMN, this is the advice I have heard from scientists studying the area of epigenetics without direct monetary gain from marketing their own supplements. Do you have any info or thoughts on this?
I see quite a few scientists recommending resveratrol, and my husband takes it along with NR. I eat a lot of plant foods rich in polyphenols so haven't prioritized resveratrol - but it's on my radar and I promise to take a closer look at it on the channel.
@@thehonestchannel There is a medical doctor from New Zealand (his name escapes me at the moment, Stanfield perhaps?) who studies supplements that purportedly promote anti-aging. After reviewing multiple scientiific studies on resveratrol, he has concluded that most of what we are reading and hearing is just hype, unsubstantiated promo, if you will, and more scientific research is needed to confirm or dismiss it as an effective contributor to our anti-aging protocols. He is here on You Tube. Also, David Sinclair refuses to engage in a discussion with him regarding his findings. I take resveratrol daily by the way. I would really like to know if I am wasting my money on a largely ineffective supplement?! It is fairly expensive.
@@jjtopp99 Dr Brad Stanfield? I've watched a few of his videos. Unfortunately with conflicting studies it's hard to give people definitives around supplements. I also think it depends on your lifestyle and what you eat too. If you already eat a lot of polyphenol-rich foods then you may not need to supplement. Or you could hedge your bets and cycle supplements so you're not taking them all the time but for periods of time.
I've long taken a whack of supplements - including berberine et al - but it would be rather more convincing here if the guest speaker wasn't peddling these supplements. Moreover, no mention is made of the simplest, cheapest and likely most effective way to reduce / eliminate insulin resistance, i.e., by intermittent fasting and time-restricted feeding (I eat mostly only within a 6 hr. window; so 18 hours fasting per day). These regimens also reduce carbs and result in caloric restriction (since you are simply eating only one to two meals a day). There is also the question of the bioavailability of NMN...and, naturally, the expense.
I still take NMN and am working towards doing an update in October. I dropped the TMG and berberine but then reintroduced TMG recently. Sorry for the delay in doing an update. We have had a couple of health setbacks - nothing major but we wanted to get the conditions right for testing our NAD levels properly.
There are so many supplements on the market so it can be quite confusing to know the ones that actually work. My friend was on supplements, a liquid to be precise, from a company called Fountain. I remember that it was quite expensive but looking at her I could actually see that it was making her skin glow. I believe that once you start on it you may have to continue in order to maintain the youthful skin.
If you can exercise u do not need to take berberine..in fact it attenuates the stress it puts on u and lessens your vo2 max...plus it was just found out that when NMN goes through the liver porthole it is changed to nicotinic acid..you are better using nicotinic acid that is a fraction of the cost and it does support the nad salvage pathway
OK where to start,,having been seriously ill for nearly 6 years I had nothing better to do than go down the rabbit hole that is anti-ageing and all that is connected with the subject,,I decided to give nmn a try it was not apparent over night that there was any improvement in any aspect of my illness but within 8 weeks my family and friends noted that I was more active and happy to interact with others around me I did myself note that there was an definet improvement overall but put it out of my head with the thoughts that it might not last or it was somehow a placebo,,,roll on to present I am able to complete a hole day at work and go to my bed later rather than come in go to bed routine that had become the normal,,,hopefully I can continue to improve so I can get my life back on track
I’ve tried berberine and it made me horribly nauseous. After stopping it I developed the most ravenous Hunger like ghrelin went into overdrive. Really threw my usual intermittent fasting regime right off. I’m reluctant to try again
Frankly, I'm on INFO Overload. I have Spinal Arthritis which generates daily Chronic pains and Terrible stiffness affecting my entire Body and Psyche. I take far too many supplements ....the list is long but does include Berberine, Turmeric, Ginger, Cinnamon, Bromelian, Zinc, Ds, Cs, Es, Mgs, K2s (with D3s). Wish I could say there is improvement. No Can do. Just had 3 recent MRIs done (Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar), the arthritis, the Disc Degeneration, sites of stenosis continue to increase. These conditions have been experienced for decades having started in the Lumbar Spine /Hips/SI joints and Transgressed up the spine to the top of my head. So, I seek "MAGIC" (there is no Surgery to help me per 6 surgical Consults). Like BIG PHARMA, I am increasingly leary to puruse even more Supplements (They are expensive too). I'd love to see what this doctor recommends. THX for your time to make this video.
I’ve heard that arthritis is a form of autoimmune disease, the K2 and D3 will help but will take time, my wife has similar symptoms but she won’t try any of those. I read something about T cell immunology techniques about 2 years ago that sounded promising but I haven’t followed it up in recent times, worth checking out.

Do you take a highly absorbable form of calcium Bis-glycinate or get it from food? K1/K2 and D3 work off that. Magnesium Glycinate is a highly absorbable form, and is used in many body processes. Glucosamine/Chondroitin with MSM (sulfur) help coat the ends of joints with cartilage. (MSM helps stop inflammation). Can be bovine (cow) or shellfish based. Also need trace minerals, they're not in the soil anymore. I got Fulvic Minerals by Solaray. Can also drink BLK water from a grocery, or mineral water. Trace minerals help you stay hydrated. Water alone may flush you out too much. Use Celtic sea salt or Redmond's Real salt. I also uso NeoCell liquid hyaluronic acid berry flavor. To hydrate skin and joints. *Just a half a shot in a glass of water, and you will notice a difference in 20 minutes. Regular minerals like potassium, copper, selenium and zinc. **30 to 50 mg or less, as the body turns off zinc when it gets too much. Niacin is important too. You may want to consider a simple heavy metal detox like Cilantro drops (or eat some) Parsley is good too. Don't eat too many greens everyday or you may build up Oxalates, which also cause inflammation, gout, and imitates arthritis. Methyl Folates are absorbable. Folic acid is artificial. Avocados, broccoli, cabbage, cucumbers, are a natural source of NMN... And Vitamin C is needed for many body processes. Found also in berries, not just oranges. Liposomal Vitamin C is absorbable. Ascorbic acid is an incomplete form So - not everything every day. Moderation. On/Off. And eat real foods. For energy/antioxidants I use: Ashwaganda (Yogi Tea Vanilla Spice Perfect Energy) SOD (sodium dismutase) NAC (N-acetyl-Cysteine) with Glycine ***There is also Carnosine, and Carnitine...good stuff, but different Convo. And Collagen in some beverage... Start 3+ days in a row then back off to every other day. See what feels right for you. ***Use filtered water, not Tap.
Look up Orvel Douglas fruitarian… he does monthly challenges on only eating high water fruits and the testimonials have been astounding!!! It’s €15 to participate. My joints, inflammation & arthritis improved so much it was life changing. ❤❤❤
This is a follow-up to my first interview with her the previous week when we talked through that in detail. NR is nicotinamide riboside - another form of vit B3 and thought to boost NAD.
I do respect very much this expert's opinion. However, on anti aging diet, I would check Dr. Valter Longo and David Sinclair (both PhD too) which are the most importante experts in life style for anti aging purposes and their work is mainly scientific.
Take your NMN in the morning not in the evening or late afternoon as it can act as a mild stimulant. Also don’t drink much water (wine, beer, tea or coffee) in the evenings, I have a 1/3 glass of lite milk after dinner instead of tea or coffee and ever since I’ve never had to wake up to pee in the wee hours. The calcium in the milk also helps modulate the acid in my stomach so haven’t had any heart burn in bed either.

My understanding is that it is soon to be banned here in the US thanks to David Sinclair himself, who has, with his company filed the petition to ban it in the US without a prescription.
Tiredness at night is NOT a downside. We are supposed to feel tired at night as our bodies tells us that WE SHOULD BE SLEEPING EARLY. If we do not, you will get much less production of the 4 hormones that heal you, help you with cognition, help you memorize, and help you rest properly. Watch the emphasis Dr Huberman gives on sleep. (and any serious holistic health practitioner really)
People said take NMN first thing in the morning, empty stomach. But I have to take my thyroid pills, first thing in the morning too. So can you suggest, which one I should take first? Thanks! (I'm in the process of ordering what you suggested. Hope it really work!) 🎉
It would be worth reaching out to NMN Bio and seeking their advice on this one. I'm not an expert by any means. My mum has a thyroid condition and takes her medication first thing and then takes her supplements a couple of hours later but she usually doesn't eat until late morning.
Carbs are not entirely bad. Refined carbs are bad but complex carbs are good and can be found in fruits and vegetables. This is why the Blue Zones are known to be the most healthiest places to live because their diet is high carbs, low protein, and low fat.
Most of the advice said you should take Berberine 30 min before a meal. Is there any difference if you take 2 tablet (2 x 500mg) after dinner as you mention in the video?
Berberine does reduce blood sugar, so if yours isn't going very high due to diet restrictions or diabetes medications, then your blood sugar may dip too low causing tiredness as well
The answer to the question about these supplements feeding cancer did not address the actual problem. Of course, doctors will not give these supplements to someone diagnosed with cancer. The issue is, taking these supplements BEFORE knowing of cancer diagnosis and unknowingly feeding cancer by taking these supplements. Would be ideal to have this addressed.
Feels like such a Wild West with these supplements. You hope that at least they don’t cause damage, and will be of benefit to the body, but the reported effects can easily be placebo, or are negligible compared to eating well, getting excercise and good sleep. Measurements of biomarkers do show what we think is beneficial, but how these small changes in some biomarker value actually relates to overall wellness and quality of life as well as reduction in mortality, etc, is not known. It’s a very interesting topic and because of that there’s a lot of business opportunity for ppl selling a magic pill , it all feels like a bit of a fad belief with not much objective evidence so far.
I hear you and I do agree that lifestyle - a good diet and plenty of exercise go a long, long way. My dad is adamant the NMN is making a difference to his arthritis and prostate condition. Very hard to judge though. We're going to keep going for a couple more months then take a break to see what difference it makes, if any, coming off it.
Actually bud your more in the wild west with any big pharma product these days XD. Simply read about the company before you purchase. Take some and you'll easily see... seems like you have FOMO snd this is cope.
I lead a very healthy lifestyle, early 60s, exercise nut and on a paleo type diet , tried lots of different diets over the years , One thing that was frustrating, my blood pressure while not dangerously high , was always higher than you would expect from my lifestyle, low 130s/low 80s When I went on tmg it dropped almost instantly, around 120/79 , I suspect now I must’ve had high homocysteine, If I was someone else who wasn’t so healthy in lifestyle I suspect it would’ve been dangerously high and a conventional doctor would’ve put me on blood pressure medication that would not have solved the cause
Nmn 1g for 3 months with no increase in energy. Everyone is different is just not for me. When I’m done with this 6 months I’m done with it. You guess what lol try again when I’m older. I use TMG in conjunction with it as well.
i wonder if there is also an element of a placebo effect on yourself and your parents. drug studies often report something like 30% improvement of symptoms in placebo groups (versus maybe like 70-80% improvement of whatever the actual drug is)
But who can afford alll this supps specially at the moment were prices are to the roof? I would spend so much money each month only with the NMN, TMG and Berberine. And there are still all the other supps like Vitamin D, Omega 3, ALA, NAC, 5HTP etc. Even if you don't have to buy it each month it's getting very expensive. I've got a good job, so no problem for me, but it seems anti aging is only for people with cash...
Interesting subject..was reading about some advanced research and for instance "when M-Tor suppression+ Insulin pathway were modified simultaneously, lifespan was increased by 500 %: an impressive fivefold difference".[6] Dr. Jarod Rollins. However , I would disagree that a Ketogenic diet is better than eating carbs "too much fat and proteins " is not good for longevity and it is proven partly because of what they call the "protein mess" which is one of the identified ageing process

So I am hooked, I believe incorporating daily exercise and good nutrition is part of this as they help to generate the effects even more. The Pulse is a good Chanel to follow on this subject.
Thanks so much for sharing this. It’s great to hear. I’ll follow The Pulse.

Thanks for the tip.

Exercise I do now -
(To Raise Blood Oxygen, drop blood sugar, strengthen legs, arms and back) :
One or Two Minute Exercise Every Hour.

1. Cut out sugar
2. Cut out carbs
3. Began a carnivore OMAD LIFESTYLE!!!!!! This is not a diet it is a life choice.
I am now a healthy 10st. ( Though BMI said I should be 7.5st. Ermmmm no way I would look terrible🥹)

Is NMN beneficial on its own ? ie without the TMG ?

Congrats.

NMN and NR are one phosphate molecule away from being identical. They’re both good folks
I’ve been taking NMN for about three weeks and the first week was terrible. No energy, tired, sluggish- week three it’s finally got better! I'm curious about your age. From what I've seen, the younger you are, the less of a difference. Another viewer mentioned Brad Stanfield, who is in his 30s, and some of his choices for his own supplements are based on his age. He has said he will do things differently after 40, 50, and more.

Once you start taking one, you need to take two other ones to counteract some effects of the first one.

What about the more absorbable form of berberine called dihydroberberine? Supposedly one can take a lower dose with less concern about side effects.
Berberine can also cause constipation.
Maybe you could ask someone to give their option that does not aim to make a financial gain from selling their own product, an unbiased review .

Yes.

Please run an nad test as soon as possible. Ideally you would run the test before the supplements, but you should do it soon to keep track of the progress. At your age your nad level should be at half of a teenager, so if you take the test now you can compare against that. I would be very interested i hearing your results. Doesn’t berberrine inhibit lean mass muscle development
This sugar, insulin problem is recent. I think the biggest factor is the destruction of the gut biom from the onslaught of desiccants, pesticides used in growing food and the 100's of additives to food and antibiotics. I think the gut was to preprocess the sugars before being absorbed into the body.

What time should you take Berberine?
With so much talk about ketogenic and especially carnivore diets, I'm curious how this impacts the microbiome. I can't imagine one getting much resistant starch from a meat heavy diet but I'd love to hear an expert opinion on this.
I feel like potatoes shouldn't be a problem. But there are a lot of GMO potatoes, and with all the big farms and year round growing, the soil may no longer have the nutrients. And even organic potatoes, people peel them! I always leave the peel on mine.
Are there any vitamins or supplements that cannot be combined with NMN, TMG and berberine? Would you know?
No, and that is a bit of an issue with vitamins and supplements, as recently flagged by Dr Brad Stanfield, on this channel. We don't know a huge amount about what happens when we combine multiple supplements.
What happens to the body when we take NMN for a month or two and then stop taking it? Would we feel the absence of the supplement?
That’s my question too. What happens if you stop.
It should be taken at least 6 months to restore the broken DNA. It will gradually raise NAD+ levels in our body only after a few weeks, but ideally, to see results on a cellular level, it should be taken for at least 6 months.
Thanks very much for this wonderful information ❤❤❤

Great video (as always) are you still on the supplements? An update would be fantastic!!
I still take NMN and am working towards doing an update in October. I dropped the TMG and berberine but then reintroduced TMG recently. Sorry for the delay in doing an update. We have had a couple of health setbacks - nothing major but we wanted to get the conditions right for testing our NAD levels properly.
If your taking Betaine and getting Gycine, shouldn't you take NAC as well.
There are so many supplements on the market so it can be quite confusing to know the ones that actually work. My friend was on supplements, a liquid to be precise, from a company called Fountain. What is she talking about when she says NR ??? Might help to explain what it stands for
This is a follow-up to my first interview with her the previous week when we talked through that in detail. NR is nicotinamide riboside - another form of vit B3 and thought to boost NAD.
What do with do with vitamins we take for other reasons. Like D3, K2/m7, magnesium, zinc, Q10,fish oil, B vitamin etc. B1 also.
I take several of those vitamins myself. I'm not aware of any issues taking them alongside NMN but you may want to talk to your physician about it.
I do respect very much this expert's opinion. However, on anti aging diet, I would check Dr. Valter Longo and David Sinclair (both PhD too) which are the most importante experts in life style for anti aging purposes and their work is mainly scientific.
Hello, I take nmn, tmg, & trans resveratrol, I would like to add b1 & b12, do you think us safe
Thanks you for sharing all this info.
Since I started taking NMN I do seem to get up more frequently during the night (67 years old). It could be my imagination.

@@deanervik thank u
Is it just the USA where you cannot purchase NMN anymore? I heard that our FDA is banning it…OTC or otherwise..Thinking this is the case..🤓
And, THANK YOU CLARE😍Fantastic Piece, here🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It is still available, they haven't stopped retailers yet.
Thank you, FRIENDS☀️
Amazon
My understanding is that it is soon to be banned here in the US thanks to David Sinclair himself, who has, with his company filed the petition to ban it in the US without a prescription.
I want to contact your guests basically see if help stroke recovery with supplements
Take Nmn in the morning per David Sinclair.
Carbs are not entirely bad. Refined carbs are bad but complex carbs are good and can be found in fruits and vegetables. This is why the Blue Zones are known to be the most healthiest places to live because their diet is high carbs, low protein, and low fat.
DrBeen did a recent podcast on Berberine- very in-depth.
Most of the advice said you should take Berberine 30 min before a meal. Is there any difference if you take 2 tablet (2 x 500mg) after dinner as you mention in the video?
I only take berberine if my meal contains more than 10 grams of net carbs. Working well so far.
Hello, have you looked into Gary Brecka and the 10x genetics testing??
Berberine does reduce blood sugar, so if yours isn't going very high due to diet restrictions or diabetes medications, then your blood sugar may dip too low causing tiredness as well
Interesting theory!
That is precisely my worry , why I stopped taking NMN
Thanks for doing this video dear.
What makes you 🤔 no it's okay to refer to these women as 'dear.' NOT OKAY! Especially for a Muslim man!
I already started taking all NMN , TMG, CaAKG, RN I stopped for a while Berberine. Quercetin and Fisetin as well.
RN is what???
NR I meant, sorry
I lead a very healthy lifestyle, early 60s, exercise nut and on a paleo type diet , tried lots of different diets over the years ,
One thing that was frustrating, my blood pressure while not dangerously high , was always higher than you would expect from my lifestyle, low 130s/low 80s
When I went on tmg it dropped almost instantly, around 120/79 , I suspect now I must’ve had high homocysteine,
If I was someone else who wasn’t so healthy in lifestyle I suspect it would’ve been dangerously high and a conventional doctor would’ve put me on blood pressure medication that would not have solved the cause
What is the suggested dose of Berberine per day?
NMN Bio recommended we take 2 Berberine capsules a day but I am just taking 1 400mg capsule a day now.
How much Berberine to take?
what does Berberine do for A1c if one already taking metformin?
Nmn 1g for 3 months with no increase in energy. Everyone is different is just not for me. When I’m done with this 6 months I’m done with it. You guess what lol try again when I’m older. I use TMG in conjunction with it as well.
No B12 or B6 for cancer patients?
great video! good point! Thank you!
Does tmg increase low /bad cholesterol!
What about the decision to take NMN off the market?
Hi. We covered the FDA decision in our first discussion. I’ll include a link in the video description
Interesting that no mention is made of Professor David Sinclair who pioneered all this research
She talked about him in our first interview - this was a follow-up
i wonder if there is also an element of a placebo effect on yourself and your parents. drug studies often report something like 30% improvement of symptoms in placebo groups (versus maybe like 70-80% improvement of whatever the actual drug is)
Yes, true, although my mum has seen no improvement so far.
That would be a cheap solution
Is this available in Canada?
Renu by science in Florida has a much better postage rate than DoNotAge. These are the top two suppliers per their third-party testing. Victoria, BC.
I do agree that it can become very pricey which is a shame.
Definitely an ongoing debate!
@@thehonestchannel indeed 🙂
What about N-acetylcisteine?
The good doctor doesn’t seem to know too much
