    I wonder how much this game could improve your reaction time if you played it enough...
    Sick video tho

      Revvilo a lot tbh games like this made me pretty fast at reaction timing. Can’t say these games don’t improve something haha.

      Past your teens it's really hard to improve on that. Track knowledge, familiarity with the controls and muscle memory will serve you better past that point.

    The only AG racer that is equal to this is Wipeout 2048 on the Playstation Vita.

    I think that realistically, if a pilot were to be inside such a ship and they would make these manouvers, they would die from inertial effects. (acceleration, g forces). Going 1500 mph through a loop that short, (~700 meters/sec) isn't something a human being can survive.

    • @Joltout
      @Joltout  7 лет назад +8

      Considering that you have to pitch up and down during those moments to prevent red/blackout, I'd say that some form of artificial gravity machine is keeping the pilots safe. Rather those red/blackout moments are weaker but more sudden, so the pilot lives (however the campaign text does indicate that "you" are getting frail/pale and sick from racing so hard come the final events, so idk).

    • @benniebees
      @benniebees 7 лет назад +2

      I doubt artificial gravity will be ever possible. In any case, if floating race ship tech is ever developed, races could be held with remote controlled ships with no pilot in them. It would be less exciting though. Teleportation portals are pretty far off too xD

    • @Joltout
      @Joltout  7 лет назад +9

      Granted that we do have what seems like room temperature super conductors, teleporters, disintegrators and reconstructors here, I think it safe to assume that artificial gravity isn't out of the question in this universe lol (especially if room temp super conductors are involved). On top of that, the race tracks and or vehicles themselves exhibit artificial gravity as they race around the track glued to the tracks with the only exceptions being jumps. So I'm certain that the pilots inside the ships (of which there definitely is, as explained in the lore and small story) have some form of gravity device built in to keep them relatively safe

      As a physicist I have to debunk your claim that artificial gravity will never be possible, in fact, for decades we have have possessed the theoretical portion of the process. Artificial gravity relies on centrifugal forces from a main "centrifuge" which spins, creating a region in which Earth like gravity can be felt. However in this context of a small ship most likely the pilot is in heavy apparatus similar to that of many modern pilots who engage in rather stressful maneuvers. Who knows....
      Its the future.....
      From the minds of ignorant Westerners: Its not about the work of humans or the development of society, its because everything will sort itself in generations to come...
      Haha that's total crap (I apologize for the rant, I get distracted.)

      "Boss" tracks link all of the tracks in a zone into one massive track, via Portals, usually resulting in you racing 80%+ of every track as one lap

    Quick question, which control scheme do you use : Redout, Arcade, or Classic?

    • @Joltout

      I use the 'Redout' control scheme

    • @Neuwo
      @Neuwo 7 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the reply. I'll switch back to that and get used to it... was trying the others (Wipeout is my classic AG racing series), but they didn't feel as perfect with this game.

    This is great, but it looks too easy

    • @Joltout
      @Joltout  7 лет назад +4

      250 hours of gameplay will do that lol. The game is quite hard until you learn how to properly use the mechanics.

    • @waslaughing
      @waslaughing 7 лет назад +1

      When you enter a hard turn do you brake? Let off the gas? Strafe in the direction you're turning without braking and letting up off the gas? Or strafe and let off the gas?

    • @Joltout
      @Joltout  7 лет назад +2

      No brakes, nor letting off the accelerator. I strafe into the turns for pretty much every single turn.

    • @waslaughing
      @waslaughing 7 лет назад

      Same here but I still crash into walls. I'm guessing you have to move the left stick left/right and down/up to pull your ship up/down a bit so it could clear a narrow curve.

    • @Joltout
      @Joltout  7 лет назад +1

      With the current top tier meta, hitting the walls is far better than turning smoothly/properly. If you really want an easy time turning corners and aren't using it, use the "mS" passive power up. It's what I used here. Else, to be competitive, use AP.
