Yes! I get quite a few packages now that we basically do all our shopping online. I like that I can see packages even if left on the doormat with the circle view but would definitely like the package detection feature. It knows a cat ran by and identifies an animal but not a package! 🤣

First off, as a guy living in New Orleans hearing you use the words “out and about” are fun. The Canadian dialect is fun. Secondly, what’s the delay in response time? I currently have a nest hello and it’s pretty close to real time.

I don’t even realize - do I really sound like I’m sayin Ooot and aboot! 😆 The notification is pretty quick but once you click it, it takes a few seconds to load the live feed. This is more noticeable if you are not on your home wifi. (Like if I’m out and about! Haha!) Thanks for watching!
Try Placing a wait time after turning the light off in the automation. This way the automation still runs for a period before the camera triggers again. (I can’t try this at the moment to verify if it works)
Hi Brad!! I do not own a smart doorbell, but, I do own an outdoor smart camera, and it's a close cousin to this one, it's the Logitech Circle 2, so let me tell you that at least my camera has been working for the last 2 winters (Edmonton AB) with no problems, so let's hope your Circleview will do the same. It's funny, I've been looking for this one for quite some time with no luck, but something tells me it might be close to release here in Canada because both Amazon and BestBuy stopped selling the Circle 2, so my guess is they discontinued it in order to release this one, who knows but that's my guess. I just replaced a Wemo doorbell with s Logitech doorbell. The Wemo does work with a mechanical doorbell (goes ding-dong) but not a digital doorbell. Their work around for a digital doorbell is to bypass the front doorbell (if you follow their instructions it disables any back door doorbell) so there is only the HomeKit notification.
🤣 Right?!? It’s really only needed for a few seconds to set it up in Homekit before you install it but I do think the cord should be provided in the box if it’s required.

13:30. That’s what keeps me on Google Nest Hello. I hate to use Google but it’s instant. With homebridge + nest cam plug-in it even works with HomeKit.
Hi Brad can you help as I’ve gone and purchased two Eufy cameras HomeKit approved and a doorbell. I foolishly didn’t realize that the doorbell is not HomeKit approved. Though I do get a notification on my apple watch but no pic. Hoops pro is one way but I don’t want to spend $500 ( I’m in the UK) and wondered if there was another route? Perhaps I need to buy another doorbell or even wait until Matter kicks in more. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Vinnie, I could have explained this in more detail. From your Apple TV settings go to ‘Airplay and HomeKit’, find your camera under notifications and make sure it’s ‘on’. You can see your camera feeds by holding down the ‘tv’ button in the remote and click the home icon. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the great video! I've ordered my unit and preparing for installation. Question... can the camera be previewed in the Home App during the USB set-up connection? I am relocating the existing doorbell wiring and would like to pre-position the new Logi (for best view) before i drill holes.
Great video - have you had problems with getting too many notifications? I set up the activity zone on the doorbell with a very limited area in the zone but it seems to be alerting outside of the zone. Any suggestions?
Hi Jody! That is odd …🤔 Luckily I haven’t had any issues with notifications outside my activity zone. I would suggest deleting and then re-creating your activity zone and see if that helps
This video is a year old. Are you still using this doorbell? I’m going to be in the market for one in about a month and I’m wondering if I should get this or wait for something else to come along.

Does it run off a battery? I can’t get power to the outside of my glass vestibule and need a doorbell with either a battery and/or solar power like RING … which doesn’t work with HomeKit :(

Yeah, took me a long time too! I just kept trying until I finally got it. It was really frustrating, but I finally got it. Try moving around within your home. It may help if your phone is on 2.4 GHz when trying to add it. If all else fails contact Logitech. Good luck!
@@TheBradLloyd thanks for reply. I had to call Logitech customer support. We came to conclusion that I was not using adaptor which has 2 amp output to power up Logitech doorbell. I was using Apple adaptor which has only 1amp output. Finally I got a adaptor which has 2amp output and everything went smooth to set up this doorbell. So far it is working perfectly fine and I love it. May be this will help to future users to prevent this hiccup in set up. They have to use adaptor which has 2amp output.

Yes you can to both! As long as they are part of your Home and have the Home app installed. You can choose whether to give others access to recorded video or just the live stream.

I ordered mine and I think it sucks. If you have a mesh Wi-Fi system it won’t add to Apple home. Contacted logitech and they said it’s a known issue and they’re working on it but the problem is is that they won’t take a return if it’s more than 14 days at Apple. I don’t have time to wait for a fix
Wow, that is awful! Most people have mesh Wifi (including myself), so I wonder why it's only affecting some people. I can't image how frustrating that must be. Let's hope Logetch gets that resolved soon!
Hi Scott, not sure why but sometimes you have to give it a few tries. Hard reboot of your device and resetting your HomePod may help. If all else fails… Apple support.
@@TheBradLloyd I finally got it connected by switching off my 2.4ghz network so only my 5ghz was on and it connected right away. Now when I put it on the mount the light stays white/blue and says not responding.
Glad it’s working for you, but for me this thing is a piece of junk. It simply won’t connect. From the online reviews I’m not the only one having this problem.
Hi Patrick, sorry to hear about that. Have you contacted Logitech? I had trouble connecting as well, but once I finally did, it's been solid. One tip I learned when adding to HomeKit is to make sure your iPhone is connected to the same wifi access point as the doorbell. Not sure if that will help or not....

Yes, it just takes a SIM tool to remove. I'm personally not worried about it. Based on where mine is located, I would at least have video footage. But yes, it's a risk for sure.

Great question. I used a portable power bank so it had power, which allowed me to find the right position for mounting.
