Kyle guided my father-in-law and I a few weeks back on stripers as well. I had never fly fished before and Kyle spent 3 hours with me teaching me the ropes. Tremendous teacher and such a passionate guy about the sport and the biology behind fishing. He's got me hooked on fly fishing. I would highly recommend taking a trip with him.
Everything is just clearer and cleaner in Maine. Way less pollution. Pretty decent size state and only 1 million population

Great video, you certainly captured what striper on a fly is all about! I wondered how long it would take you to "bump" into stripers once you got to Maine. We have stripers just up the East Coast from you here in Nova Scotia as well. Fish them in the tidal waters of the Bay of Fundy (world's highest tides - which add's to the challenge), typically in the river mouths. They are tons of fun to catch (as you discovered), and up here they have to be 27 inches to keep! They are killer on the BBQ!!

And once we have Covid behind us, and the US/Canada border open again, suggest you consider a road trip or ferry ride to Nova Scotia - you'd be welcome here! We've got some fine fishing!!

I have been only fly fishing for trout the last 2-3 weeks and have been enjoying myself so much. Imo it is the most fun way to fish. Hoping to pick up a bass rod and try for some stripers before the end of the season.

You should try Kezar Lake in Western Maine. LMBs, SMBs, lake trout, landlocked salmon, and you might even see Stephen King or Joe Hill.
