If you click "SHOW MORE" in the description above your be able to see Links to the Tools 🔧🔨🔧 I use. Also Clickable Chapters📋 📙 throughout the video and other Links 🎬 that may be of interest. I've had a few viewers request where they can buy the tools they see in some of my videos but it's not very clear that the "SHOW MORE" tab has a lot of information in that may be of interest. Admittedly the amazon links are associated with me and I would earn a small commission which helps towards keeping the channel funded.
This might have been posted 3 years ago but it came in handy today 👍 thanks for posting
Good to hear it helped.
Rather than yarding or prying on the light cluster cover with a tool, once you've removed the 2 10mm bolts and wiggled the cluster cover somewhat loose, slide a webbing strap in behind the cluster cover from the top to a point about 4 inches down. Grasp both sides of the strap and give it a firm pull straight toward you. The cover should pop off very easily.
Thank you for that insight. Good thinking.
Perfect, thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'm off to change some of the bulbs on my T30 now. 😊 Thank you. 5:57
Great new and thank you for the comment.
Thanks for your video, very detailed and very helpful to me as a user of Xtrail T30. Cheers
Thank you
A small tip from me for all those that cannot pull out the whole set , cause they dont have those plastic extractor/wrenches or they may have minimum friction when pulling with bare fingers, try this: insert from the bottom up a rather short - thick towel in between the plastic lights set and the metallic surface around it, all the way until it gets blocked by the lowest of the three pins, you are gonna feel it when it does so. Strech the towell ,so that it will spread evenlly the pulling force you are gonna use, all underneath the lower part of the set , take any slack you feel there is there, and pull out explosively! The whole set, or at least the lower part, will be unbuttoned sweetly. it worked for me perfectly!
Thank you for sharing this information. Anything to help others is welcomed.
A most exellent demo sir, thankyou most kindly, very helpfull indeed, very clear and methodical
Thank you for such a compliment.
Very helpful video, save me from spending money on a new brake switch.
Thanks.
That's great news George.
Brilliant , that’s just what I needed .
Thank you .

@@CoatsandGaiters keep up the good work 👍
Thank you. I'm still making em lol@@andrewparaskos1685
Great video , perfectly explained
Thank you
Good video i had a hard time pulling those clips
Thank you. I find changing bulbs on almost all cars harder than doing major mechanical stuff. Each clip is awkward, located where you can't get your hands and liable to snapping. My wife changes the headlight bulbs on all our cars lol
Top, thank you!!!
Thank you for saying so
Great video. Wonder if I can ask your advice? I’ve got a T32 x-trail and accidentally left the boot open all night during heavy rain. Now the reverse lights and reverse camera are permanently on under all conditions, driving forwards etc and strangely even with the engine turned off and the doors locked with the key fob they stay on.
I have to disconnect the battery whenever I’m parked so as not to drain it. Any suggestions?
Thanks
I'm not acquainted with that model but I'd strip the boot, remove the side panels and see if things are wet behind the panels or wherever that water could have got to. If there is a control box or something. I'd maybe remove it and put it into a sealed bag with like a kg of silica gel to make sure its dried out completely.
@@CoatsandGaiters many thanks mate! I’ll give that a go!
Brother what if i need change the odometer bulbs with colored lesd? Can i? And what it’s socket type?
Sorry I never removed the instrument panel.
Could you show how to remove the break light that is on the top of the glass? 🇧🇷
if you email me at coatsandgaiters@btinternet.com I will send the page from the workshop manual for you.
What type bulb is that ? T20 or 7440 ?
I think they might be one of the same by the look of it.
Hey is a very good car in the soft mud
Thank you for that
