This is my favorite female singer!!!! When ever I’m stressed I put Sade on. The first job and paycheck I ever made. I ran straight to the record store and brought her first album. I am telling my age.😂😂😂 Sade is goals!!!! She hasn’t aged a bit
She is the epitome of sultry, striking, ethereal, beauty-almost otherworldly. I am so proud of her for controlling her private life so she can enjoy that on her terms with her family. Her fans also can be a part of her life when she is willing to give us her time. Brilliant, totally brilliant. She is in control of her life, and it is so obvious that her life is not in control of her. We should all learn from her example.
I'm so happy that my mother cleaned her living room while playing Sade. My favorite songs are Sally, Nothing Comes Between us, No Ordinary Love, The Sweetest Taboo, and Paradise. Sade will always be iconic for every generation. I love her so much.
Same!! Mom played her, Anita Baker, Patti LaBelle, Stephanie Mills, EnVogue, Janet Jackson, Toni Braxton... We had some dope artists in their prime ♥️❤️
SADE it's an icon. I'm 32 years old, my mother insisted on passing on her good taste in music. My mother says that listening Sade is like reading an love letter.
Her simplistic style is timeless. Everything she’s worn can be pulled right from the closet today. She’s absolutely stunning. I’ve seen her twice and it’s a magical experience unlike any concert I’ve seen.
My generation…. she’s beautiful, seductive, poetic , mysterious, Uber feminine and sexy without filters or alterations. No Instagram girl of today could ever compare.
My favorite artist of all time. She has class, grace, style, beauty and air of mystery about her. She does her music and runs back to her house, she has no interest in fame yet she got it. All hail Sade the queen of quiet storm.
I love the fact the that in the age of social media she still manages to fly under the radar. She is classy talented and stylish the only woman who can look like a million dollars in nothing more than jeans and a blazer yeah she's got it like that ❤
The fact that this woman was the most successful and top selling female artist in British History during the 20th century before Adele, Corinne Bailey Rae and Amy Winehouse blows my mind considering that Sade never had the commercial push or support of the music industry. Let's remember that Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Madonna and Janet Jackson we're global powerhouse superstars during the 80s and 90s and Sade sales still triumph over theirs in the UK is baffling and outstanding. Safe is a rarity. It's her artistry. I love that Sade keeps in the unknown. She's not a manufactured Pop Star. She takes her craft seriously.
Sade brought allure, mystery, sensuality, sophistication, and soulfulness to the music of the 80s and 90s. Listening to her is seductive, like sitting in a dark jazz club. At a time when everyone’s out there and over-exposed, her name is still synonymous with privacy, and it’s a powerful thing. Thanks for this video, now time for me to create a Sade playlist.
She’s so lucky she got to have a career and rest before social media. 😔 Yes tabloid magazines existed, but they were NOTHING compared to the instantaneousness of social media today. (And yes I know she came back in 2010, but at least half of social media apps weren’t available then.)
To me, she's the most beautiful woman I've seen. It's the way she carries herself, so sensual, sultry and womanly but yet strong and powerful in her own womanly way.
My favorite Sade song is "Kiss of Life." Sade really stood out in the 80s. At a time of great excess when more was more, Sade shone as an example of smooth, simple, quiet, classic sophistication. Most artists simply cannot repeatedly disappear for a decade at a time and still have such a brilliant career, but Sade is different. Their (Sade is a band after all) albums are perfect, and Sade herself maintains an air of mystery that keeps us wanting more.

When she came on the American scene in '82, I was hooked. At age of 16 watching 'Smooth Operator' on MTV (in the days when they played music videos), I thought she was one of the classiest and most sophisticated woman I'd ever seen. She was the whole package. She's a lifelong horsewoman and love her videos when she rides. In the vid 'Never As Good As The First Time' her level of riding expertise rivals top trainers I've seen. Sade and Stevie Nicks. My two favorites. Great video
She is my top five of all time without a doubt. I was lucky enough to see her twice in concert. Once in 2001 and a second time in 2010. Her band sounds tremendous live! She sounds like a recording. It’s amazing.
Kiss of Life and Is It A Crime are probably my favorite songs. But I can listen to all her albums without skipping any tracks. She is one of my all time favorite artist of all time.
I'm in love with Sade! Saw her twice in concert, which is rare since she goes on tour like once a decade. Best concert I've ever been to. Her voice is far more hauntingly beautiful in person than the voice recorded in a studio! ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗

I've admired Sade since her music first hit America in the '80's. It was not only her songs and her style, but the uncompromising bar she had set for herself as a singer and as a woman. Sade was NOT the one you would find making gawdy sexual motions onstage, or pumping her barely dressed bottom, along with her onstage entourage of barely dressed bottoms, in order to sell records. Sade's bar has never been cut short or cheap. Yes, she's all of a woman, and she brings it all with her to every performance, including the element that, through the years, has been sacrificed for success, being a LADY!! This strong, uncompromising identity and attitude is what has garnered her the ongoing audience reverence that she receives, in addition to her and her band's unbelievable music! Thank you, Sade, for demonstrating true class and confidence, especially in this day and age of music. Thank you for living out the creed that less is more. And finally, thank you for proving that TRUE quality will speak for itself and EARN quantity!! Thank you, Karine.
Sade is half Nigerian and half British. Her is Yoruba from Nigeria and she was born in Nigeria. She has a younger brother. Her mother lives in England after divorce from her Nigerian husband
Love her and her music. A unique vibe of jazz, soul, and beyond. What's really fascinating about her is that she lives her private life. She could easily have been sucked into the music world of fame, touring, and releasing music all the time. As much as she valued her career, she prioritized her life and its privacy. That's rare. Thanks, Karine, for your deep dive into Sade even though there's a limited amount of info on her.
I'm obsessed with Sade,I love everything about her I like how she moves in silence ,very mysterious, very goddess like. I can listen to her all day.she still looks very very beautiful
I discovered her songs one rainy day, playing at the local radio station. The song was “No Ordinary Love” and I felt like it was the perfect song to vibe to in the pouring rain. Ever since, I became hooked and looked up all her songs. We were Hispanic and lived in Latin America prior to coming to the US for college. She’s been an icon for me since. My dream is to one day attend one of her concerts, I pray she has one more tour as it inspired me to save to buy tickets a whatever price they’re sold. Thank you for your work. Her mysterious ethos is how one should live I think, no one knows nothing and therefore cannot say nothing. Complete freedom y love her life as she pleases. Thank you for your work as always my dear.

My dad was the president of her fan club lol. I knew her whole catalogue by the time I was 10 years old. Her music is so beautiful and nostalgic to me. Love her
All of our parents made us fall madly in love with Sade. It was Sade (Anita Baker) that we heard everytime our mother wanted to clean up or make a delicious meal for our families. My family is yoruban(my father is Nigerian) and west Indian (My mother is Jamaican/ Cayman ) so they were heavy into Sade and I believe because of her my signature look is her red lip and and smokey eye
She has been like that for Lord knows how many years. And that's perfect, especially in these times, especially. Silent and Mysterious just how I live. Queen Sade, an Angelic force to be reckoned with. With a voice to match indeed.
Sade is my favorite female artist. I saw her interview with Donny Simpson on BET in real time, back when I was 11 years old. I was INSTANTLY intrigued by her and her music. Even as a child, I have been a strong fan ever since. Her music has given nothing but love, peace and hope to me, since Diamond Life. Her and her band are the perfect marriage of sincere grace, beauty, sensuality, femininity and vulnerability. They are ALL very talented and birth beautiful music together, that seems above this earth. I've been to two of her concerts and own all of her albums. She is one of the most unique artist of our time and has one of the MOST diverse and loyal fan bases, which to me, is an indication of someone who is a unique LEGEND that can only be inspirational and NEVER duplicated. Thank you so much for giving us this tribute! Also, for all the beautiful photos of which some I've never seen. God bless!

Completely agree, beautiful soulful voice. Just like you when I hear Sade’s music I can feel myself relaxing. I first heard her music when I was about thirteen. It was about 2am and I couldn’t sleep. I put on my little radio and they were playing Smooth Operator. I was hooked, even though I usually lean towards rock, metal and indie. I don’t think she has one bad song. Thanks for the cool video.
I was literally a fan of hers since I was born ( 9/ 85) MY aunt was a fan and she said she was playing it at the house I wouldn't cry I was always so quite if I fussed she would put her on and I would stop immediately. By 6mos old, she said I would listen like I knew exactly what she was saying and going through in the songs. My first Cd ( 92) Was Sade Love deluxe. I was 7 years old, and yea, my auntie brought it, lol. To this day, we are bonded with her. My favorites are sweet taboo, your love is king Paradise , tattoo ,Maureen , give it up. Love is stronger than pride, kiss of life , lovers rock soldier of love . Damn it All of them . I was in tears when she came to NYC and was on 106th a park . So close but so far from the lady I admired
Sade’s music and soothing voice always send to take me on a journey. I saw her last show in 2012 Canada. Amazing! Been looking forward to more music ever since.

I need her to go on tour just one more time. Please Sade!
She has been like that for Lord knows how many years. And that's perfect, especially in these times, especially. Silent and Mysterious just how I live. Queen Sade, an Angelic force to be reckoned with. With a voice to match indeed.
OMG ❤️ I listen to sade everyday. My day is not right without her ❤️. Thank you for giving her 🌺🌹 to her. Definitely deserved
God bless!
There's no one like this Goddess. Her voice is heavenly.🙏🏽🙌🏽❤🌹🌹🌹❤
I'm glad that she NEVER sold her soul💯💯💯💯💯💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
She uses the one eye symbolism just like the rest of them …
3:45 Her speaking voice is something else 🥰
Love your videos. My mom actually named my middle name after her. Her other option would've been to name me Teena Marie lol
That's so cool lol it’s a beautiful name for sure!
Teena Marie 🤣 that is not a bad name either tho.
my aunt too ! summer sade !
She is seriously gorgeous I can’t stop staring at the pictures and clips in the video.
The second I get my feet in the sand - Sade is played. ❤️
Favorite Sade songs: King of Sorrow, Paradise, No ordinary love, Cherish the day, Love is stronger than pride
I have loved Sade since the 80s. She is everything! Thank you Karine for covering her again.
I looked up new pictures of her OMG she’s still STUNNING! Is she a vampire? She looks the same!!!! Gorgeous gorgeous woman. So elegant. I absolutely love her style, vibe and music. She’s timeless.
Sade will be forever immortal. She truly is a Siren.
♡
She’s a Capricorn that’s all to say. We are classy and private but full of talent and art. ❤
This!!
I fully agree, my youngest daughter is also a capricorn and is so talented, I'm an aries.
I thought December 16th would make her a sagitarrius?
@@serafinaispera537 she is Jan 16 😇
Precisely.
One of my TOP FIVE ARTIST EVER. Voice, lyrics so great, and she is soooooo beautiful, like unreal beauty. Heard her when I was a child from older family and became hooked, still my fave til this day. I CANT with her beauty, aura and just ugh, everything 😂❤😊❤
The best compliment I got from my friends who said that my singing voice sounded similar to Sade - absolutely love her voice.
Sade is a timeless classic beauty, and it is evident in her clothing and makeup. Because when you see her in pictures you can’t tell what decade it is. She is my all time favorite artist. I have seen her in concert 3 times. When I see her in pictures and listen to her music I can’t help but remember my late husband who was a super fan of Sade also!
I named my daughter Eva Sade after Sade ❤ her
Wow that is a gorgeous combo omg 😍😍
@@KarineAlourde thank you ☺️

You are so welcome! ❤
@@KarineAlourde 🌹🌹
PS: in case you didn’t know about her, there’s a singer named Niia that is a fan of Sade and it shows (she even has a ponytail a lot of the time lol). She used to be in Wyclef Jean’s band.
I really enjoy your videos ❤
I have waited for this!!!! Thank you so much. Sade came upon the scene when I was in high school dealing with trying to fit in as a gay adolescent. A voice so silky and comforting, her songs got me through a lot of pain🌺
Both of our Venus is in Aquarius ♒️ I completely understand her.💜”No ordinary love”
Them aqua placements add to the mysteriousness and the don't fuq with everybody ness, and the mind your business.
I love Sade! She's so beautiful & talented. I remember listening to her albums everyday after a bad breakup. ❤️🌹
The first minute and a half was so beautiful. Thank you for that gorgeous montage.
Massive fan since the 80s such a classy lady. Massively powerful voice full of soul, her songs can bring on tears. Queen.
I grew up listening to Sade because of my dad and I fell in love with Jezebel. This weekend I’m performing a set with a live band and we’ll be covering Jezebel, so seeing this video at a time where I’m nervous about it is just perfect ❤ love you and your videos Karine
Classy beautiful woman, pure sophistication, charisma and elegance without even trying. Lovely rich tone in her singing voice, smooth like velvet. One of a kind and very rare. Love Sade! 💕👍🤗
Sade is a whole enigma.
Sade is aging so beautifully and looks younger than 64;her voice is very timeless and iconic❤
Such a STUNNING! BEAUTIFUL WOMEN & SOUL!
I have loved Sade since her first album & as a young woman, she was my style icon. Her song, hurts like brand new shoes, is my absolute favorite.
I too am a diehard fan for life, she is unmachted and always will be. Your favorite song is called Pearls if I remember it correctly 😏🤟🤟
Sade is one Artist that I love ❤️. I could put on one of her cd’s/playlist and listen to it from front to back and again. My fave song is Maureen
Yes Maureen. That's One Of My Favorite Songs Too. 👍🏽
