Bro, I saw 2 guys here in Virginia get msrp for your exact spec FE. If you have 8,500 to burn, you could’ve bought a first class plane ticket to anywhere in the country to find a dealer selling at MSRP and still be well under what you paid. Happy for ya, but no way would I pay a cent over msrp.

drove mine 2000 miles over last three weeks, a little disappointed MPG is not as advertised and that it requires premium gas, but very powerful and more efficient than my 5th gen 4Runner. I removed the air dams and put wild peak tires on it. still so new I'm paranoid about bugs and water spots on the paint and windows!
He literally says “I still have my ram 1500, I would never tow with this” (the LC)…..how many people are willing to buy a LC for $8000 over list and have multiple trucks and a 2022 S-class?!!! His opinion only affects the top 1%; for the rest of us 😒we want one vehicle that can do it all for us, including towing… Also, he says the main reason to buy the GX 550 is “the V6 and the looks” but he didn’t mention the best feature - EKDSS - read up on the architecture and see the Tinkerers videos. Finally, he mentions the aesthetics (totally fine criticism as that’s very subjective) and the physical buttons (also 100% agree on this, wish the GX had the same tactile buttons) but otherwise the rest of the review is meh
Same thing happened with Acura Integra type S. People were paying $10-30k mark up to be first. 6 months later they are all sitting in huge quantities on dealer lots. They ran out of fools. My 22 4runner gets 22 mpg on the highway and will likely outlast this Landcruiser. One smart thing you did is not get a GX
I have a 2023 GX460 lux that will do 21-22 mpg on the road at 70mph on cruise control without much difficulty. It is capable of towing the same or more than the LC, but of course no where near the GX550.
@@SundayDrives I use Carista odb. Or you can ask your dealer to do it. Gone is the weird engine noise where it sounds like it's going to blow. Very quiet and enjoyable now.
Big engine problems with the Tundra, worries me that Toyota quality may be at risk. I would like to buy a Land Cruiser, but now I'm going to wait and see what happens, and definitely not paying any dealer markups, ever.
I bought a Lexus 550 with 7500 off sticker. I prefer the Lexus. Also the tank is 17.9 gallons which is too small for suv. It should be a minimum 20-22 gallon tank. The Lexus has 21.1 gallon tank. The other stuff you complain is no really no big deal to me. I drive BMW'S too. -BMW already had everything integrated in screen so I am very used to it and really is no big deal.
@@Bark8 Always check the Lexus/Toyota forums before buying anything. You can locate the good dealers and learn about the bad dealers as well. It will take some time and research, but it will pay off. The best dealers are usually not in your state - it just depends on where one is located.

Shame on you for spending $8,500 over... Should have just bought a GX550 Overtrail. They are not the same as the GX includes the V6 (I've driven both and the V6 is much better) with a 10 speed instead of 8, E-KDSS, better interior. Only difference is the fuel mileage but you are so far behind the ball on that one once you paid an ADM.
If you got the Overtrail editions I hope you don’t have a lot of passengers in the back seat - one thing thus guy didn’t mention is that the Land Cruiser retained the independent back seat climate controls and the overhead vents for the A/C - on the Overtrail all you have for the back seat passengers are two small vents where the climate controls used to be in the GX460.
We didn’t like that about the Overtrail either. We got the Premium Plus. It will come with the additional third row seating and A/c controls for the rear passengers. I believe the Premium plus is going to be the most in demand for consumers. Most people like myself will be adding the mods like wheels/tires after purchase anyways.

Same in MS. There are both Toyota AND Lexus dealers only charging MSRP. I've always preferred to pay under that myself, but these are different times.

Great choice going with the Landcruiser over the Landrover. Landrovers are so problematic and depreciate so rapidly they are horrendous investments.

Yes in WA st a lot of dealers we pay only MSRP only $55000 plus Tax I would not pay 8500 over the MSRP.
here at CT Middle trim $67,945 msrp w/ premium package, dealers price was ranging from 71k to 75k. F**ing outrageous tho.

My uncle return the GX550 and got the X7 M60i and enjoys it more, we always lease so reliability is not a concern for us.
I think your uncle bought the wrong car at first. Those are 2 very different cars.
Sounds just like the rav4 prime. It’s pretty fast but it sounds like youre gonna break the engine when you do go fast, it’s awful

gx550 is on the V6 engine recall I believe the same as the Tundra

Irrespective of the price, you cannot compare it to a GX550 with a much bigger V6 and much nicer finish inside out. The LC 1st edition is overpriced.
