Drongo !!! I won one ranked game using this Build Order !! I know it doesn’t seem impressive, but I had to much anxiety playing ranked games… I need to perfect my timings and way to much more, but, anyways, I won! I’m thinking on buying your classes.
I think AOE4 has more diverse strategy options than AOE2DE. Some time ago I bored by applying the same build order in the first 5 minutes or so in AOE2. But with AOE4 you are more free and has many 'optimum' paths to develop.
BROOOO, I watched your video to half and I went into game and chose hardest dificulty and I crushed him in 15min completely (I started attacking him the moment he builded landmark and I was harasing his vilages and destroying baracks and houses and landmark, just sending troops there and literally not giving him chance to expand and he just lost all his resources on building landmark again and baracks xD) - I before never was able to defeat hardest :D thank you so much for your video - I like everything - subscribed long time ago
@@putbutterinspinach1109 that doesn't really work. I will have 25-30 archers and my opponent easily destroy my army with 7-8 MAA and a few archers. And imagine how quick English can age up.. I think a different approach is needed for each game.
Tried my first Skirmish a week ago (busy with events in several other games + real life, so very causal gamer), started it off with a simple English mirror with Easy AI......... .......I got DRushed before I had any military units out, was consistently 1-2 ages behind the AI the whole game, somehow won in the end. The "Easy AI" felt like "Moderate" or "Hard" AI in AoE3 and AoM... Time to go back to finishing the campaign...
I hate these guides that are nothing close to a guide. Why can't you just make it nice and slow so we can understand better? Instead of spamming your keyboard and mouse to tell your scout what to do? ... Why 5 on stone at the beginning for .5 seconds? What exactly did that do? You didn't even collect it.
I play the same strategy but I build a market instead and use the 3 free trades and this gives me a massive boost on gold early in the game which always means to advance faster while early attacking and harassing enemy villagers adding to that I build a tower next to his gold mines and to protect the troops and make it as a safe base to retreat to and then I build barracks etc
if the Ottoman archer spam with mehter is a thing why can't you do the same with delhi tower of victory? I mean what do the Ottoman's get over delhi eco wise or army wise? I don't see the military academy being that helpful early in the game which is basically where you want to do most of the damage and with delhi you can make a couple of extra scholars and literally cut your production time in half so isnt it better?

@@MrAtaguas I think the strategies would work quite similar. However, there are some differences. 1. Early disruption with Ottoman spears 2. Matching the production capacity of ottomans would still require 3 production buildings (2 archery ranges + stable) and 2 scholars. 3. Resource wise, 2 military schools costs 300w, 200s. However, 2 scholars would cost 300g without landmark (150 when using free scholar, which hurts research speed). Then you need to build a mosque for 100w. So you save 100 resources here (if not building a second blacksmith) I am a bit too lazy to count all research costs against free unit costs. Then again, you need to consider whether you build additional scholars to speed up research. 4. The movement speed bonus by mehter shouldn't be overseen. All in all, I would reckon that ottoman is a bit faster to pull off and a bit more stable across the maps. Also ottomans are more robust against counter units. Delhi could perform better on maps with easily reachable and defendable sacred sites and I would rate them stronger when transitioned into castle age
I would argue that is about how easy is to achieve it. With otto is extreme easy, the time you spend micro monks/mosques with Delhi you could use it to raid hard with mehter support. Also is more flexible and reliable. Is easier to obtain a balanced army with strong number of archers but enough cavalry and pikes to react to anything unexpected. Also, mehter bonus applies to everything, so you have speed and attack on your horses, that is invaluable when you face anything specially civs with maa in second age.

Nice video! But as usual I need to pause, play, pause, play over and over to see what buildings you are making. I would love for the beginner guides to say "Now I will build ****" instead of clicking the absolute fastest they can and not saying anything
This is anything but not a build order guide. All of it just happens way too quick, you shouldve slowly explained it all in a replay of this gameplay. I mean it works, but you would need to pause every second to properly understand what you did and what you want to do. Id rather just figure out my own playstyle than following a guide. Take this as feedback

if your opponent is RUS, there is no point to make spear in dark age cuz there is nothing to harass or rush unless your spear is to prevent RUS scout to collect deer ( professional scout)
Like he says, you can harass Rus stone as Rus will be getting that for TC usually. Also it never hurts to have those spearmen as Rus will likely get knights
Massed horsemen can beat this. And that's what I fear. So I keep my military schools on spears. Three Archery ranges and I have enough wood to even drop a stable or two and start adding some Sipahi. In that way, I get a mass of archers, spears and Sipahis powered by Mehter.
Was getting clapped by ottomans trying to use an English fast castle build. The O are way too strong in castle. I got sick of it and they can’t handle the feudal Ram rush at all. It’s the go to stray vs those tools.

i do this exact thing even before the video was released and i still get wrecked at 6-8 min by early men at arms

Is easy AI is that Hard for you then yes, you neked to practice much more as easy ai barely does anything
easy ai will attack you with 4 spears and then do nothing... definitely need to put some hours in, keep it up

5 stone is so you can get your military school out immediately, it’s a time based building lol the sooner the better. Gives you free units
Yeah it's really really bad. Basically I think we all get spoiled by the cleanliness and mathematical perfection of spirit of the law

military schools pay back significantly faster than you seem to realise. its free res, which delhi dont get

The strat is very good, but for new players you are explaning too fast and complex!

since the limiting factor is time you want to start massing free spears as early as possible.
Rus got age 2 knights, starting to build up spears is especially good against RUS and French so no worries there
