I actually never knew that. I normally have barracks on 5, stable on 6 and archery range on 7 with every civ. This looks way more efficient combining them
A question for A-drongo - what PC setup are do you use? would be great to see a spec review and maybe you could talk about why you picked what? - video idea?
Guys I know it goes in the face of every rts that has come before but just use F1 and Tab. You won't lose any buildings. You free u a control group if you have a way to use all ten of them. I wish I could have more control groups. I use a 12 thumb button mouse for everything. But that control group trick is really cool.
After getting beaten by the Intermediate AI for so many times now, I defeated them on the first try. Looks like the only mistake I was doing is to not make use of the best strategies with each Civilisation. Feels so good now.
My tip for you, when you play HRE: Scout their base as much as possible, and watch for fast castle (if they have a lot of villagers early in feudal, you can often guess the will go early age 3). Go age 3 yourself, and get crossbowmen.
Been practicing this... For the opening part, how do you prevent your vill from building the mill instead of killing the sheep? Even hovering over the sheep it turns into a build icon. Sometimes I have to pull the sheep out a bit just to make this reliably work
English and HRE can try mixing in M@A into their comp, knights (of equivalent vetrancy) also have the damage dealt to them reduced to ping, I as a watcher of games would think it would be better to focus on mobility to counter the ball by raiding and picking off straggler units
maa with some range prot make for a good wall till you stabilize, china player either pulls back to up to t3 - waste time by doing some kiting, meanwhile you pull the mangos, gather relics/ raid the shit out of him with knights to even villager count before he pumps spears. After that lull is walling time and play like always
@@TkTronixYt I reached plat 2 with basic style of walling off as I push and being defensive on sacred sites and markets while denying opponents market. So that's why I said are YOU sure about that, because that wouldn't work against me and others I know who play high level
@@TkTronixYt as I am gold, I said I reached plat before with a different method, this season I'm gold 3. Soy question remains, what makes you think it will work on gold players, particularly myself?
They already chopped the wood. When you build a production building, villagers will drop off any resources they have once it's built regardless of which production building you made. It doesn't work if you shift click it though.
Can you explain how IOs prioritize tax pickups? If you play pocket ecos, do you do anything special to make sure your IOs only pick up tax from buildings close to home?
@@fathinalbatamiy9290 A pocket economy is just a small group of resource gathering villagers disconnected from your main base, like when you go out into the map for a boar before it's been secured by your walls, keeps, or production.
So I get not having the Mill out by the berries but what about putting the mill on the berry side of the tc? Wouldn’t that get the same effect with the IO but also make berry walk time shorter and also supervised?
In this case it's about the resource of time, you want as close to 0 seconds walk time as possible in order to make the timing work on the dynasty boost to villager production as well as access to the zhuge nu. Ideally for this build you want a straggler located right in front of your base where villagers spawn, if not you are going for the nearest straggler to your villagers and if berries are adjacent that's a bonus.
You're only really afraid of mangonels. They won't have more than 10 MAA by 11 minutes if they go fast castle, and 30 zhugenu can deal with that ez pz. If they go knights they get rekt by spears. Not a single civ can go fast castle and afford a mangonel with any units to support it. You have to be fast with your build order though, if you drag it along to 13-14 mins mark you'll lose.
tried this vs abbasid, until i arraived he had almost double the vills ! easly defended with 0 army ! 15 vills in TC other 15 burning Rams even though i killed alot, mid fight he is in castle and gg called.
@@ganknujnal It absolutely can be, but if you notice the rush - stop this build order and switch to wood and a normal tower defense approach. I am brand new to the game, practiced this build for hours and have won all my ranked games against higher ranked players than me so far. One of them was the Mongols and tried the tower rush and I successfully defended it and he resigned.
You should leave 1 tile between mill and TC. Otherwise its more likely that villagers may return food to TC. Also mill without 1 tile between is slightly more vulnerable vs ranged attacks, but if you leave 1 tile between mill and TC you leave small safe space which can still be utilized as protected area and its less likely to deliver food into TC which is big no no. It can still happen with 1 tile between the TC and Mill but less likely. Obviously a lot depends on other factors if mill can be threatened but I found that leaving the 1 tile is just easier and better. Also placing Villager far away from TC leaves it vulnerable to harass which results you either losing it or losing wood to repair it. ITs better for village to hug the tc
You should use Village as a garrison point when you expand (like near berries or behind woodline, as shown on this video, or maybe on your stone if you're going for 2nd TC), also if it's close to TC you will probably waste space on the Academy. Regarding the empty space, that's why you want to reposition the sheep to the other side, so it should never be an issue. It's actually way more likely that you will drop off at TC if you leave a space and try to farm the sheep between the mill and TC (safer, as you suggest) If your Villages are getting destroyed, you probably needed them to save your villagers anyway (because it means you're under fire, not having the village would mean more walking distance for your villagers)
@@flyingjetbr Yes I do know why he places village further ahead, but its much easily subject of taken down or damaged, which hurts economy and isn't worth of risk. If you're so worried about influence of IA then you can delete village in later game if you desire to use the spot for something else. Its better be safe early on than use resources to repair village or lose it because its much easier to lose especially when facing ranged based comp with potential ram or torch dmg. If village is hugging TC it can't be taken down without rams or armored units and even then you can repair it while instantly hopping back to TC. Mill without 1 tile distance is subject to any ranged raids. You're actually 3 tiles away from TC and TC fire range is like 7 or 8 tiles which leaves you vulnerable to normal archer attacks also it leaves sheep vulnerable and if player is capable they just kill the sheep on that spot and denies your food. If you place it 1 tile away and stack sheep properly then it won't deliver into TC and is completely protected. Also interaction with mill, vills and TC for dropping off is weird because even if the mill is actually closer, but villager is somewhat in weird position it delivers it into TC and with mill being hugging the TC and if you need safer food you need to move the sheep to sideways which results more likely vills delivering food into TC. As someone who plays Song into FC and got very similar methods. Even tho I play 2v2, but the way I have done things are experienced that I had when facing aggressive plays or pokes and these measures ensures that I can reach FC with song with pro scouts without and hinder and timing I hit castle is around 8-830min mark. Also for example because I go pro scouts everygame and start with 2 scout I can ensure 2 deer camps or more under the first mill and completely protected. Usually my BBQ covers mill too because its always between gold and TC and usually also woodline too.

We make one person do it to avoid all the villagers doing the kill animation at the same time, making them all idle for a bit

Hold shift and build. Only works if they’re preoccupied

Why you have to build mill for sheep? imperial guy can't boost tc?
He cannot boost the tc
how do you deduct 1 vil from a hot key group?
all this and then you walk into enemy maa. Doh
How does this hold up Vs hre fc burgrave?
If the enemy does Fast Castle at 8-9mins do you still push?
This was often my problem. When they go fast castle, eg hre with men at arms, you have no chance.
Pls build order as pdf ❤❤❤❤
is this still working?
How to deal with English or HRE MAA?
Why no Clocktower in Imperial Academy?
Because the tax generated per unit is a fixed value so it is more efficient to train smaller, cheaper units instead.
