When you hear Tango's voice, he's calling out th names of your cards, as the game's playing them. "Sneak" is a card that blocks 2 clank.
A little bit more information for the Sneak Card: You get 2 clank blocks added (you see them in the map). If you would trigger clank (shrieker sound) in the future, the clank is blocked and the counter goes down by one. If you hear the card getting played, it's the actual time you could run.
so its opposite of "need to sneak"
the clank block lasts for the entire game, so there's no real point in running as soon as you hear it go off, that would just make you lose the clank block faster. Just run when you need to run, and sneak around as much as you can afford without being too slow. And then the clank block will do it's thing when it needs to later on
Additionally, when you hear the 3 xylophone notes, or whatever that is, the tiptoe noise, that is when clank is being blocked by your clank block I believe.
Also, it's good to learn where the shriekers are, and make a point to sneak in those areas.
Unless you get the artifact, you get nothing. The only way crowns get out of the dungeon is if you put them in the barrel that's in the victory room (where you purchase new cards).
About 14:25. Tango has changed the crown receiving issue with the barrels in the win room. If you watch all the exit for the first run though you will see the changes.
Look at the map when a card is called out! The effects of the card are displayed in real time. Every time you hear "SNEAK" you should see two Clank Block dots light up. They go down every time you block a clank, and if there are none left, then your clank can go up.
And at about 20 clank you start releasing vex or increasing the range of wardens
Sounds and good ravager wrangling are key to success. You seemed to not pay any attention to the toots and dings that represent embers and treasure being released into the dungeon. Those sounds will ping from close to where the drops are so be sure to listen to them and follow them.
Also, keys ARE treasure so every ding you hear could be a key being dropped into the dungeon.
There is a way out of that pit with the Tactical Tickle. If you ever fall down there again, don't give up and look for the way back up to the parkour.

Unfortunately, no more treasure comes out once you're at maximum clank
I'm surprised how many Hermits are ignoring treasure/frost ember dings. If you can hear the little dings that means treasure (including the potential for keys) has dropped within a certain proximity.
Yeah, everytime I heard one and he ignored it it made me so frustrated.
29:30 treasure cards certainly help and are great for quickly and reliably finding keys, but they are not necessary as treasure still randomly drops throughout the dungeon by default
Great runs Jev! That second level is really hard. A few more cards would really help.
Keep at it Jevin! The thing I see that might help you more is learning the treasure spots better and always looking at them when you can. Loving your approach.

There is always a passive slow treasure drop, but cards make it more reliable.
Embers only drop if you use cards.
Jevin is a hungy slime, all those berries not being taken ;p
definitely recommend going through the books in the sound test room, helps clear a few things up and might make finding keys a bit easier
when it says "Sneak" the game has drawn the Sneak card which gives you +2 clank block, meaning that when you have the card active, you won't accumulate clank for 2 times
In the river room you can't jump sprint 'cause on the edge are soul sand block that slow you down, but if you look closely some block are not soul sand and you can just sprint jump with out using bridge😊
The Sneak call out is just you sneak card being played. Stumble is a random card that gets shuffled into your deck every 2 minutes and adds two clank. If you're getting back to back stumbles, you're probably out of cards.
Treasure will continue to drop until your clank is fully maxed out. Treasure and Ember cards only increase drop rates. Not by literally spawning that many items, but by doing an RNG check at each treasure and ember site in the dungeon. So treasure and ember pips on you map might spawn nothing, and they might spawn one at every single drop site (More likely each pip will spawn 1 - 2 on your dungeon level).
Everything is announced with sounds. Treasure plays a bell sound exactly where it drops. Embers play a flute sound.
Clank is Skulk Shreakers, clank block is tip toes.
Hazard is crumbling, Hazard block is an inverted gong sound followed by crumbling.
FYI, unless there's some kind of undiscovered feature, once closed hazard doors do not reopen on that run.
When Tango calls out “sneak” he is calling out that a “sneak” card from your deck has just been played, which blocks the next 2 clank events.
All of voiceovers are a card that is being played.
“Stumble” is a card that the player will never see (unless you check it out at Cub’s museum!) that plays automatically every 60 seconds the dungeon is active, adding 2 clank to the dungeon
One thing to note is that treasure will not spawn naturally once you're at full clank.
I like your DO2 room. They say that green space is good for your psyche. The perfect place to curl up in the fetal position after fleeing ravagers.

When you hear a ding in the dungeon, it means treasure dropped. Those dings can tell you exactly where to look if you're paying attention to where the ding happens.
Jevin is a wise Slime, Blue Orchids are the best Minecraft flower, no one ever agrees with me on that.
Treasure hunter will help the most with going down a level. Sneak and stability are nice, but neither will matter if it takes forever for a key to drop. The more treasure you get, the more chances for a key to drop.
I am so insanely happy that I'm not the only one who calls animals/creatures "bubbie/bubby" I mainly call my parrot that when shes being super cute.
I think the best spot to look for keys/loot would be the far back room on the left side of the upper floor of the crypt, pretty much every time I've seen any of the Hermits there the floor is just littered with drops

I love how some hermits just full send and give zero cares where the ravagers are until they see them... meanwhile others seem to have a need to know where the ravagers are and get wrecked for finding out... xD

I have seen a lot of the time there is a key in the room to the side of the TnT, the one that takes you to the big table room through the bookcase.

Jevin, there are treasure drops in every area. The treasure and ember sounds are proximity, if you hear them go look in the direction you heard them. You continue to not go into the depth charge room and explore to the right of them. Your game knowledge is lacking, there are cards that get played and Tango made it so that you hear the name of the card and can see its effect. There’s also an info room up the stairs behind the crown shop where you can read up and hear basic info on the game. If you quit sneaking so much and explore, I’m sure you’ll do well. If you continue to play the way you are, you’ll continue to have bad runs.
23:41 literally the opposite. Sneak means your sneak card has played, meaning you have +2 clank block. Also, please sprint more. If you aren't sneaking you might as well be sprinting because you're going to set of shriekers and generate clank anyway. If you run in to a ravager while walking they are going to eat you before you can get up to speed.
not sprinting conserves hunger so that you can sprint when there’s actually a ravager on you. otherwise you’d need a constant supply of berries which just isn’t gonna happen.
@@ZombiezKey Uhh, you can regularly go in to double digits on berries if you grab all the ones you run by. And when you're going in with full saturation walking the first half of the dungeon is pointless, especially if it just gets you killed because you skid on ice in to a ravager as you try to change direction AND get up to sprinting speed.
And when you are doing deeper runs conserving energy shouldn't take precedent over not getting hazard blocked everywhere.
@@ZombiezKeyberries are everywhere and generate rather quickly. Jevin needs to maximize on this. He walked into the table room the first time, looking for a key, and disregarded both berry bushes.
@@liamengram6326 conserving energy matters a lot tbf. once clank penalties are working as intended, not being able to sprint is essentially guaranteed death.
I think you should do a few more medium runs and get more cards for your deck, 8 is not really enough to be possibly going down to level 3, or even for deep level 2s. You also need to learn the treasure spots better in level 1, there are at least 5 that you did not actively check (3 in crypt, 1 past the TNT in the farthest back passage on the right, and another immediately to the right when you enter the TNT area that regularly have keys).
When you died in the pit on lvl 2 last run. There are vines to climb out. Also there is supposed to be a accelerating heart bea sounds, but there was 0 during this stream.

Check the name of Compass, it shows level of artifact that tells whether the artifact is on same depth or depth below. Going lower depth needs key.
Jey iJevin, I think the skulk shrieker noises are not just atmospheric, but mechanical. So if you pay attention to the hot spots that trigger shriekers, then maybe you can figure out which spots are optimal to sneak vs safe to sprint/jump/eat
sneak is a card that blocks two clank, you know when clank has been blocked when you hear the tiptoeing sound. clank being the mechanic that releases the evokers in case you didnt know
If you don’t want to rack up too much clank, taking note of where shreikers tend to make noise and sneaking in those places is great for that.
Also be very careful when eating not to do so in those places either.
If you manage to do that successfully, you can easily double the amount of time you can spend in the dungeon without being chased by vex.
Getting to see more and more of Level 2 is so exciting. I like that as the Hermits progress we also learn more about the dungeon.

JEV - You desperately need a card that gives you Jump Boost, and get the key from the high spot in the big table room. That will eliminate the whole looking for a key issue, and give you more time in Level 2 and 3
To be fair, the Sneak Card is pretty badly named when.... you actually don't need to sneak as it blocks 2 clank
Really fun runs! Lack of clank and hazard blocks and deck size in general REALLY hurting right now with trying to do deeper levels. Ideally you'd have way more cards before you can comfortably get there and not already be at terrible clank levels. Considering that, the Level 3 attempt was good

That last run was so ruff, you just got hosed on the keys. The upside is you can see how long you could last on lvl 1 and how much loot you could pick up on a lvl 1 run.
Good Runs. Perhaps you noticed when editing, but part of the confusion on that last run was the compass wasn't a Level 2 compass. It was for a Level 3 Artifact. You needed to find a Black Key on Level 2 to allow access to Level 3. Good luck with your next runs. Enjoying the content. Thanks.

I dunno if Tango fixed it, but in the room with the key between 2 berry bushes, someone else just threw a berry on top and a key popped out. though i'm not sure if its an intended feature. Really Enjoying your content, thanks for taking me out of the 'real world' for 35 minutes :D much appreciated!
jev youre ignoring the treasure/ember sounds, the little toots, and dings are treasure and frost embers dropping nearby. the note block sounds only travel like 48 blocks so things should be nearby :)
Hi Jevin, you appear to be ignoring all the treasure dings and ember toots . Keys count as treasure. I'd recommend paying more attention to those sounds. The sound test room can help you to familiarise yourself with the most relevant sounds.

I'm looking at that architecture in the red table room, and I think Pearl had the right idea of trying to cheese the Jump Boost key location by leaping from the back of one of the chairs. It wasn't close enough, but those two bits of wall sculpture that make the upside down horns shape *might* be close enough to make it in two jumps.
You can barely spot Zedaphs eye @4:00. Although I thought he'd do it in the first runs. But that does look like an eye, lol

The unfortunate reality of RNG not plopping out a key really hurt. 😥 It would have been awesome if your Moment of Clarity was used on that one. A few unlucky runs, but thank you for the video!
For me, I think u need more sneak and stability to give u more time exploring the area while blocking it. If its me ill Farm the level 1 artifact and buy more card then proceed to next level
Hard to farm low rewards with limited runs per week/phase. But taking some smaller risks and buying more time with sneak and stability is probably a good technique.

Sneak blocks two clank clank causes vex to be released when at max and wardens to track you from further on lower levels
Hazard is responsible for Bridges collapsing doors closing and traps activating
You don't get crowns coins or anything if you leave the dungeon without an artifact

Just a side note. You should probably have a few treasure seeker cards before lvl 3
