you cannot destroy the gear to get materials back like in video, now there is a "ReRoll" feature on gear as it is upgraded in the inventory tab, you can reroll a piece of equipment 6 times before the hiram upgrade, still useful to roll a starter piece of equipment until desired intel/str/agi/etc, so that you have all rerolls for second/third trait. Great guide! For anyone super new like me, note the levels the awakening will make your gear, so you don't make them too early. 1st is level 28, 2nd 40, 3rd 50. If you do though, you can remake them, but you will have to reroll all over again.

Carthh this is gonna be a long question but I'm torn and If you got good insight on this well it'll be really useful! So I have 2 gearing paths in my mind. Most of my gear hits the perfect stats but on the ones I don't I feed them back into hiram gear and I stay at tier 1 until I have perfect stats then I begin awakening my gear to t2 and beyond. Path 2: I stick with the 2/3 hiram stated gear and by t3 only 1or 2 or 3 and in a rare case 4 or none don't have the perfect stats. I stick with these pieces of gear till I have most of the core progression in the game done. (Gliders, boats, mounts, undergarments, costumes, etc.) At this point I go back and reroll t1 hiram gear to perfect stats then upgrade them to t3, and from there begin pushing for t4. This path also has the best case scenario lucky draw where everything rolls perfectly anyways somewhere during t2 or t3 and no resources are wasted anywhere. Which path do you think is better on average?
You would be wasting some resources, because once you awaken the gear to Hiram you can't reroll on it. You can only reroll the gear and get back all the infusions and scrolls before it's awakened to Hiram.
That's a really good question. My initial thought would be to go with path 2, but instead of waiting until t3 to see if you have perfect stats, don't take the gear beyond t2.
There is a post somewhere explaining how you can create an extra green infusions, you'll need at least 3 blue infusions to start, so breaking one of your upgraded piece might be required. It'll cost you labor and gold

Look for Adventurer's Evenstone from Blacksmith or General Merchant NPCs instead. I guess they changed the name somewhere along the way. Quick edit just to add a couple of quick notes: 1 - Don't mistake the regular "Evenstone" for the "Adventurer's Evenstone". If you use the regular Evenstone on your gear you will *NOT* get your infusions/scrolls back. 2 - Do *NOT* use this method to attempt to re-roll stats on your instrument. Though you will get your infusions/scrolls back, as of my writing this there is currently no in-game means to get a new instrument.
noticed if i do use the scroll and say i put 2 green infusions into an item i will get back 1 blue infusion. is there a way to tier them down as to not overpool XP on each item?
No way to tier them down, don't worry about the over flow as long as you use the green infusions, then blue, then purple all together you have the exact right amount
So i can stay with the white gear till 50/55 and then upgrade all at once? And for darkrunner is good leather and greataxe or nodachi? (New player here)
There is no material, you just open the Replace Effects tab, and make sure you click the stat you want to re-roll there. You have a limited free attempts like he says.
guys, what armor stats does a plate melee DPS character need? I was thinking about magic resistance stats but should I go for more physical dmg mitigation too?

@@carthh_ yeah me too, i ran out of reroll and not happy with my 3rd start and it is now hiram. What should i do? am i fuked ?
Hey, I've been searching for some info on upgrading one of the crafting gear. I want to upgrade the boots of the crafter set so they give 10k profficiency instead of 5k. How in god's name do i go about doing that, i havent been able to find the exact process anywhere...
go get yourself some dawnsdrop gear from the vocation merchant....there are different levels of it, and the different pieces will give you upgraded stats towards what you're looking for.
@@orblivious1 Yea, I figured it out eventually. I crafted the dazzling version in the end
Question - will i be fine if i skip side quests till 30, then do everything till 50. Will i get all the necessary infusions etc etc ?
Is there any benefit to doing side quests from 1 - 50 ?
Yup you can do that, everything comes from the main story quest that you need, I do side quests from 30-50 for the xp
@@carthh_ thank you for the hard work bro =)
Can hiram gears restats? I dropped the gears and it says 0 change. (Can't do you tricks cause I wasted all of awken scrolls)
yeah me too, i ran out of reroll and not happy with my 3rd start and it is now hiram. What should i do? am i fuked ?
@@kevinjei I found that the gears must be infused above rare grade (+1 change per grade) Goodluck bro!
@@kevinjei If you reroll to the end and not cool for you. You must infuse new one to reroll D: btw stats from Hiram gears (drop) is better than Explorer's equipments.
@@CarrotDash but the 3 stats are so random with the drops. Am i right? What are the chances of getting 3 perfect stats
Very helpful video +1
one question if anyone can answer I assume you can't reroll the stats on the lute and bow secondary weapons right?
Richie Rampershad you can
I can't understand after awakening my gear at lv 40 i had to use all my change attempts ? When i awaken in hiram gear reset the attempts or not ? Substantially is it worth use all attempts at 2ns awakening ?Thank u ^^
you can use all your attempts on 2nd awakening because every time you increase a grade you get a new attempt
I accidently destroyed my gear piece with a normal evenstone. Now my synthesis items are gone aswell - is there a way i can get back the items?
This happened to my friend also, she destroyed 6 of them with a normal evenstone. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please let us know. shes lvl 36 btw
@@SketchyWolf The fix is reroll your character :(
if you have the scrolls and at least 1piece this works then www.reddit.com/r/archeage/comments/dj59u9/fix_are_you_short_an_infusion_did_you_use_the/
do catalyst stones still exist in game??? I can't find them anywhere
Though you will get your infusions/scrolls back, as of my writing this there is currently no in-game means to get a new instrument.
could u tell us what stats to look for ? im tank
nice vid
Stamina, Resilience/Toughness, then either max health, reduced magic damage if you're plate or reduced melee if you're cloth
@@carthh_ thnx really good vids for us, newbies
Hey carthh, I noticed you could only choose 1 shield, how does it work when you want a magic or pysh defence shield? is it just random?\
You start with phys, and when you awaken it to hiram you can choose magic or phys
@@carthh_ If you are a mage doing leather and scepter and shield which do you want on your shield, magic or phys?
I'd say phys personally
I can’t break down my chest piece with an adventurers even stone?? I used 1 green infusion and it went to rare now I count break it down?
My guess is you haven't awakened it
Polar KO figured it out. You can’t disenchant rare year it has to be at least arcane. I just added another infusion then broke down and got both back.
If you don't get the second stat you want at the 2nd awakening, would it be best to break it down again and start from step 1?
Correct
@@carthh_ Alrighty, quite a long process but I guess it's worth it eh?
Yeah but it's really worth it in the long run
Hello! is there enough pve-content in unchained or mainly pvp? thank you!
mainly pvp, unless you just want to grind pve monsters
@@carthh_ hmm, thank you
I find there is enough pve content in AA. even tho is focused on pvp i find lots of pve stuff to do
@@saphiran31 sounds good, ty!
What would be considered perfect stats for a melee like Deathwish?
or naw
Curious as well...
noticed if i do use the scroll and say i put 2 green infusions into an item i will get back 1 blue infusion. is there a way to tier them down as to not overpool XP on each item?
No way to tier them down, don't worry about the over flow as long as you use the green infusions, then blue, then purple all together you have the exact right amount
So i can stay with the white gear till 50/55 and then upgrade all at once? And for darkrunner is good leather and greataxe or nodachi? (New player here)
I wouldn't stay with white gear you're going to have a lot of trouble killing things, I would use greataxe with darkrunner
Carthh so i’ll upgrade till arcane or the green one (after the very first awakening) im level 30 right now
what material is needed for rerolling stats?
noone shows or says it...
There is no material, you just open the Replace Effects tab, and make sure you click the stat you want to re-roll there. You have a limited free attempts like he says.
@@pupax2000 Thanks dude, I figured it out meanwhile. Didn't see I can click on stats and the button was gray cos first stat is not re-rollable… My bad
is focus useful for archer?
Yeah
guys, what armor stats does a plate melee DPS character need? I was thinking about magic resistance stats but should I go for more physical dmg mitigation too?
main stat strength with alot of magic resistance. Plate armour already does most of the work for physical dmg resistance so you should focus on magic defense so you dont die to mages too easily.
@@klastos9023 thanks, I've been playing AAU for like a week now but still only lvl40 cause I don't have tons of time to play... I've been trying to stack MR on my armor cause I read a lot about mages being my worst nightmare as a plate melee... anyway, thanks for the reply bro
Sport School yea mages are your worst nightmare. My brother is a plate mage and he destroys plate melee classes. I would say focus on getting the stats you need on your gear while your still level 40 and you should be good.
So you have to get lucky and get the stat you want 3 times in a row basically? This is gonna drain my gold lol.
