Simple solution is to move to where the money is... find a place to park the truck that's secure. Check the load boards or Amazon boards and move your ass there. The Amazon main hubs will have 7 to 10 warehouses within a city. Snatch up the short routes quick when they drop too.
Thank You for this video. Unfortunately I was one of those ones that was watching these content creator and listening to other people as to how profitable this business is. Me and my partner was in the box trucking business for 1 year before we bowed out and sold the truck. We even passed our first audit.. But like you said, all the money you have to put back into the business leaves little profit. We both left our respected jobs to chase a dream that we wasn't well educated on. After all the frustrations and arguments, we decided to sell the truck and go back to the work force. We are now back to making our own money, not worrying about a truck breaking down or not finding adequate loads. I wish I can say it was a good experience but all it did was put me in more debt.
Sorry that happened to you.
Did me the same even in knowing the business it put me in more debt with diesel prices plus insurance it was all hype honestly then having to follow all the rules along with the way broker's try shitting on you and you getting burned out
You ever hear the story of how the ford v8 engine was created? Take that into consideration
You made this for me! Happy New Year🎉
Hello. Glad you received some value from it. Thank you for watching 🙏🏿
Thank you for breaking it down. I'm a numbers guy, so I follow what you are saying expenses but the profit is scary. I get disability from the va so i could make a little to recoup starting costs. But now I'm wondering how i could even do that. I appreciate you and your honesty.
Thanks!
Appreciate the Super Thanks! Happy Holidays!🎄🎁

Is this information general or only for those in the USA. i live in canada and i will like te get in touch with you.
Thanks
I have my CDL-A all endorsements/no restrictions. If I buy a 48’ dry van with a lift gate, securement traps, heavy blankets, and electric pallet jack. How much could I make? (With my own authority, insurance 15k/12mo) I’m debt free and can cash out all equipment including electric pallet jack.
I’m driving a box truck as I’m watching this..I am doing Amazon relay and still gross after gas and renting a truck, I bring home profit between 4k to 4500 a week. For people who have a 9-5 making less than 20 an hour I suggest that this is way better..I run 6 days a week but I choose my loafs, and when I wanna be off..
$4000-$4500 a week is your gross take home? What's your net profit per week after all your expenses?
@@cmetarheeldid you not read the comment? It says he brings home PROFIT between 4k-4.5k a week
Bro stop fucking lying!!!
@@cmetarheelfacts that's what I'm trying to figure out
That 6% is after the labor(driver) costs correct?
Good info. Happy Holidays to everyone.
Happy Holidays! 🎄
I live in the DMV área. What do you recommend to do regional OTR or locally? Thanks 🙏
Depends. Have you studied your market yet to help you make a decision?
Will I fail as a new box truck owner operator?
What y’all think about the reefer box truck compared to dry in texas
And reefer drivers here in Texas can answer this question for him.....................
I found company near me they take new authority must have 26 foot box truck rental ok also and must have 2 man team delivering furniture pay 675 day what thought’s on that yes it’s final mile.
Hello. $675 aint bad but see if you can negotiate at least a $750/day minimum
@@markthementor oh ok thank you
Hi Mark,
I have a 26ft refrigerated box truck. Can we please setup a session to see if you can help me get a contract from the farmers market/ i watched your show couple moths ago with the guy with two trucks. Please let me know how much that will cost. or a contract with home depot curbside delivery. I took a big lost last year because of bad drivers and bad management. i want to get at least one truck back on the road as soon as possible. My locaton is Stone Mountain, Georgia. please help.
I purchased a 2012 international maxxforce engine is that bad ? I’m seeing people who have them and doing good but a lot of people who has them say their junks.
Hello. Yes. MaxxForce engines you should avoid. Cummins is better.
How is it goung?
Spoke nothing but truth
Thank you for watching!💯
I am a small fleet owner big rigs 18 wheelers semi I want to incorporate box trucks what’s the average gross? NJ/NY/CT tri state
Average monthly gross OTR $15k-$20K
Correct me if I’m wrong, so on a low end profit margin of 6% meaning that my earned revenue is $6 out of a $100? That is wild.
Based on national average, yes.
Just want to see if I'm understanding this correctly .... So the gross profit on average is $140,000 ... a REALLY GOOD net profit margin is 20% which is $28,000 per year ... to make the $140K you'll have to "run hard" which means all 52 weeks out of the year, which breaks your really good net profit per week down to $538.46 a week .... if you compare that to a regular 9-5, isn't that only $13.46 per hour ... PRE-TAX?
Your salary would be included in that margin
@@markthementor the salary is part of the 80% profit loss ... or the $28,000 net profit?
@@cmetarheel where are you getting profit loss from?
@@markthementor in the video you said 20% net profit was really good so that's where the 80% loss came from. So is the salary you mentioned a part of the 80% loss or is it a part of the net profit?
No matter Wht it beats working in a warehouse for someone making them money earning pennys on the dollar, wile breaking your make and jeopardizing your health and wellbeing!!!
How can you lose when you working 40 hrs no overtime available 800/week 26hr 52000 a year… compared to 12k a week he’ll 10 if I take home 2k a week I’m winning people wayyy to greedy
I swear I said the same thing!! I’ll be happy just bringing in 8k a month than to work a regular job that pays me $800-$1000 a week
