I completed this google cert, BUT
I can not find that "Job Board", you mentioned at 10:28
Thank you Sandra
Thanks you're so smart and cute
Signed up ! On cousera and codecademy thanks Sandra. Certs to Turks 2024
I'm on module 4 of course 4 rn. I like it so far. It has been helpful. I hope to update yall on my career outcome.
how is it going, did you land job doing it
@@michaelibrahim1443 not yet. I'm using their website along with others.
How did it go?
@@manchesterutd7518 It was a good learning tool. Definitely more interactive than Jason Dion's udemy course.
Any updates
I’m currently enrolled in the program. And it’s beginner friendly! The tech team at google really did a wonderful job putting it all together! As well as the break down on what things mean/what to know for a entry level security analyst etc 👍
I’m enrolled as well. I’m enjoying it and learning a lot.
Any updates on how it worked out for you an were you able to land a job yet?
@@eazymacc8953 hey, quick update. I’m still doing the program. I just started on course 4. There’s 8 course to complete. 4 weeks in each course. It’s self paced. How quick or how long you can finish the 8 courses is solely on you. I seen somewhere, it stated 6-8 months is the average ppl have been completing the Google program for Cybersecurity. And towards the end it helps you also take the CompTIA Security + exam. But I’ll definitely update you once I land a job after all of this. So I’ll be back in the comment section few months from now lol 👍 also I pay $49 per month to do the program. First 7 days are free. Google lets you try it out before any payment is required. Hope this helps
@@eazymacc8953this question is too early for him to answer but I also have the same question😅
Is it like video learning because I’m a visual learner and i wanted to know before hoping on it
Thank you for the fast crunch I was on a time crunch and actually needed that info asap. I'm a master's in computer & info sci redirecting into cyber and your now the second yt channel to recommend G's cyber cert. I think with it yielding a discount and also taking time to walk you through concepts, it's pretty much a no brainer to pair with the S+(preceding ofc).
Im doing the course and i just got to the python part of the course and im liking a lot and it also helps you to search more things to learn in the field.
I have the A+ and N+ still no luck with finding a job. (for the past 6 months)
I earned my Google cybersecurity cert today. I am confident this will increase my chances. wish me luck 🍀
Job market is just terrible overall. Keep it up and you’ll get there.
good luck!
How much was it to take the courses and get the Google certificate
Good luck!
Any updates?
I’m currently enrolled through my library, in California you can enroll for free with your library card & your pin would be the last digits of your phone number.
Great insight thanks for making the video on it.
Amazing! Thanks Sandra
So glad this was helpful! Thanks for watching 😄
Super useful thank you
Many thanks, Sandra!
I started the course almost a month ago, and I am in the middle of Module 7 (Python). I have 20+ years of web app development experience, so lots of SQL, javascript (similar to Python), and some server/network knowledge. The course is fast-paced and the instructors are actually quite good - despite not being teachers. Having "normal" people as instructors makes you forget this was from Google. In each module, week 1, each instructor speaks about how they got into the industry (many by accident). I do think this course will help beginners become interested in cybersecurity.
There are many resources provided, as well, such as external Python libraries, NIST frameworks, Splunk, and so much more. I had been studying for the CompTIA Sec+ (Professor Messor/mobile Sec+ app), but thought this structured course would help more. The extra 30% discount for the Sec+ exam is nice, too. Once I finish the course (likely tonight or this weekend), I will schedule a test Sec+ exam online, and go from there.
I have a general question about learning SQL for cybersecurity. SQL injections are a common OWASP top 10 vulnerability. Wouldn't it be better to use MongoDb, CouchDb, or other NoSQL databases instead (in terms of security)? Are there other major vulnerabilities for NoSQL dbs (no mention in Google course)? Or, in your day-to-day work, do you find that close to 100% of applications use SQL as their back-end dbs?
As far as i remember correctly, we used "prepared statements" to negate SQL Injections. (Some IT-Security lecture on university...)
Great video!
Sandra, can I finish this Google cybersecurity and or even the CompTIA Security certificate if my programming skills are nil, meaning a very basic beginner? Thanks I await your reply.
I’m on module 2 week 3 I completed the 1st module in a week I will wrap up module 2 today afterwork.
Can I get into this even though I have no experience with a laptop?
I am graduating this Fall 2023 with IT Information Systems Security Specialist Degree and my goal is CISSP Certification and CISA from ISC2.
I think you should slow down on the way you deliver your information, as informative as you may deliver it but I personally think slowing down will be a lot more engaging for us as viewers
🙌🏽 thanks
😂😂😂😂 facts
Definitely, I put it on 0.75 you sounded normal
Yes. i was struggling to keep up trying to listen . lol
Disagree
Can a fresher begin their career as compliance/governance analyst? If so which certifications has to be done?
Should I get network+ first or just dive into that course to get security+ ?
Working on this rn and on day 4 and already almost done w course 3 while going to school and working full time
I was able to finish it in 17 days.
@@noyafootage gives me hope i can continue this output bc IM TIRED 😭
Did yo complete this yet? What are you doing now?
@@BiggestBoss88 yup got my certificate. Working on my bachelors in cyber now
@@noyafootageso did u landed on job ?
Can i access the material of the course afer i complete the final exams and stop paying ?
Yes! This certificate is very impressive! I am on the 2nd certification out of 8. 😊
any update mate
@@saffi8322 I’m at 4 out of 8 right now and I’m just slowly taking my time with it.
So., I’m taking this course for the hands on skills. I’ve attained my Sec + recently. I feel this certificate has some additional resources available that you don’t get with the Sec +. Any thoughts and or suggestions on my personal situation? Thanks 🙏🏽 😊
currently on module 6, its going great.. also price is cheaper here in Uganda at $14 per month...
Are we able to network together
So is it good to do this course and study and take the security plus certification from Comptia ?!?
Should you still study comptia a+ and network ? Will employers still want to see those certificates
Thank you for the information.I had to watch your video on .75 speed lol
Can I get into it even though I have no experience with PCs at all
Thanks Sandra! Very informative. Always so pretty
Should i just dive into thesse google classes
Or should i study and pass
A+

SECURITY+
Great video and thanks for the help, however you are speaking way too fast, screen shots go away way too fast and information delivery is kinda of blurry. For a newbie like myself i had to pause and go back WAY too much. Thanks
Nice review. I am on the course now. Its been a better expeirience then any other option. For me ots the learning style. I
I can get it here. Testout courses vidoes are way to plastic for me to finishe anything. This course works for me.
Is it like video learning because I’m a visual learner and i wanted to know before hoping on it
Have you finished all 8 courses and landed on a job ?
Can you do a video on CalBright cybersecurity program
Im in love ❤
I just completed in 3 weeks. It's basic course and not sure anything ready for real world jobs.
I am currently talking This course then will go take the exam for the Comptia sec+ so it seems like this would be enough to acquire a entry level job correct ?
me too
Good luck and try some hands on projects and labs exercises on different websites for cybersecurity beginners; to increase your experience and skill set and hopefully that will also increase your chances of employment so good luck again !!!
I was curious, based on your expirience will it be enough to have Comptia A+, Network+, Google Cybersecurity and Security+ sertificate for an intro position like SOC Analyst?
I can understand that qualified specialist is always better, but in the same time 4 to 6+ certificate for the fraction of a chance to get an entry level job, all the while we can read that Cybersec proffesionals overworked since the pandemic, and there is a need for more people??
While entry level jobs are not so "entry" is not a new concept, but an unfortuned reality, I guess my deeper question - is it possible to win an interview with a self-study knowlege in the linux or python or any other "need to know", while having the trifecta + Google Cyber certificate, so we could start actually earning some money before any advencments with other certificats??
It would be useful for CompTia Security + but its not so sure about the others based on my going through it so far.
I have the A+ and N+ still no luck with finding a job. I earned my Google cybersecurity cert today.
I am confident this will increase my chances. wish me luck 🍀
@@noyafootage It all helps. Good luck in finding a job.
Would start off in IT if you dont have a degree and work my way up
@noyafootage how long hve it took u
Can we get goodle cybersecurity certificate with only highschool diploma??
Speed speaker!! I didn’t understand most of anything you said but you said it fast
I just started the IBM side of the program. Does anyone have any recommendations on it?
There’s a guy on TikTok that compare both the Google and the IBM Cert and he liked them both
If anyone understood anything please feel free to reply what she said by commenting on this….
Just finished a bootcamp with SpringBoard, got my Security+ and am now currently going through this google certificate.
@@stormrange I am not sure to be honest, but their support team did a good job at answering all my questions before I signed up for the the program. I would come up with any questions and then email them.
And of course I am here to answer any other questions you may have that I do have an answer for.
So is it good to do this course and study and take the security plus certification from Comptia ?!?
Have you finished the all 8 courses and landed on a job ?
I was just researching this
Hope this helped a bit adding to your research :D!
Did you even took the course to make such comment about if it’s worth it? I’m looking for a review from someone that really took the course and not someone that just read the contents of the course 😢
Josh Madakor took it and compared it to his own program and CompTIA.
If you can slow things down a bit, it would be perfect! Thanks for your knowledge and advice.
Thanks for watching! 😄 I edit all my vids now to .85x during editing so my more recent vids should be better
I'm sold.... does anyone know if it's worth it...?
it’s extremely worth it!!
Can i get an entry-level job with a Google certification without a college degree?
Absolutely not.
@@luumaven what about with ccna and security +
i definitely think its possible.
@@ahmeddwaellll absolutely 👍🏾
I’m currently a cybersecurity SOC analyst with no degree and no certs although I currently am studying for the CCNA certification and my associates degree.
If I already have Security+ should I bother with this course?
Nope
I pass the certificate and now I have to figure out what to do next .
The advice I would give you is too try some hands on projects and labs exercises on different websites for cybersecurity beginners; to increase your experience and skill set and hopefully that will also increase your chances of employment so good luck again !!!
@@Tina-wx5hq Thanks I am working on it
i love you
View at .75 speed for normal people 😅
Yes she calls it s cue L 😮😂
Guys i ran thru this in about 2 days
Do you have related experience in IT, or was the material just not that in-depth?
The material is good; I do have some cybersecurity experience. I am recovering from surgery. I do have the time.
You basically just repeated everything the program tells you on the website you are sponsored so of course ur only going to touch on all the bells and whistles, I’ve done the research and it’s not cut and dry like you present it…. Entry level positions in this field is not making the salary they posted, not discouraging anyone just saying do your due diligence….
would you say its better to do a certificate course through a university ? that way you can have your best chances at lading a job?
Why is there a child gate by the door
Pet?
Skipped it. She could have slowed down.
this is just a paid ad.. smh
Couldn't listen to this I'm afraid.
I think you speak so fast. I struggle to keep pace with what you are saying. Please slow down and speak slowly so that people whose English is not their first can participate and appreciate your video.
She’s driving Ferrari. You need to slow down a bit lol 😂
Is she talking really fast.. or is it just me? 😂
Why do you sound breathy and rambly? Kinda nervy too. I find it difficult getting info out of you when you actually do have a lot of information to give.
Slow down
You talk way too fast
Do not waste your time on this. They do not have the skills employee are lookin for bunch of liars
Go slow lady
You do realize you can adjust the speed of videos in the settings right?
Ooops no
