Getting testout network pro certification. Not sure it's good or not
I started the course three weeks ago, and am liking it so far. im on course 2 so still got some ways to go but from coming in with no prior experience its been teaching me alot.
You working full time?
That's awesome, let us know your experience in the program as you go and keep us updated 😄
@@straight-2-the-point yea
Im getting my testout network pro.
But got a question could i use udemy as a practice Source to get ready for my CompTIA Network+ (N10-008) exam.
I started a few months ago about halfway through it. It’s been good so far. Also had zero background.
Hey Sandra. I just landed my first security role and wanted to thank you for all your content. You and a few other channels have been a big help for researching stuff about having a cybersecurity career and finding good resources. Thanks for everything you do for the community!
That's so cool.
Congratulations 🎉
🎉🎉🎉
Did you do anything other than get the certificate?
@hanko498 Yeah, I worked helpdesk for a few years and shadowed a guy on the security. Learned some splunk and carbon black, and got the comptia trifecta
Btw if you live in CA you can get coursera for free if you get a library card at most libraries
really how
never mind its only for state employees
Wow that's crazy lol, I wish they had that for other states 😅
I love your videos, thank you so much for talking slower in this one. I’m currently enrolled in the Coursera Google Cybersecurity program and I absolutely love it!
So glad you're enjoying the program so far! Excited to hear updates from your end once you complete it!
I am brand new to the tech industry. I was able to complete this program in one week during the free trial phase highly recommend you try it out. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to pick up the material and pass all of the tests and quizzes. Definitely try it out!
Wow that’s awesome!! 😁 Finishing the program in 1 week is amazing, gonna start using you as an example now if someone REALLY wants to finish it within the trial haha
I’m taking it right now and while it can be a bit challenging at times it’s stuff that you definitely can learn as a beginner just don’t rush it take your time and learn the concepts don’t just get through it.
cant even lie im Tryna grind through all the courses and finish all of them in 8 days then come back and review step by step
how's it going?
@@Isajjjjj @megamastiffman
I just completed this course yesterday. I’m starting from zero. No tech or computer background at all. I feel like I learned a lot, but I also have so much more to learn.
What should I do next? I would really like to be ready to start interviewing and be hireable in 6 months.
I definitely know I need to learn SQL and Python much better. Should I get Security+ and A+?
I feel kinda lost right now and don’t have a good roadmap for what to do.
Next up is focusing on getting technical projects on your resume, get your Sec+, and start applying to entry level roles! I made a vid on this recently
Top 5 Beginner Cybersecurity Projects: ruclips.net/video/zc7LTa9q2nI/видео.html
Hope this helps and best of luck! :D
Well I'm currently in module 6, and I'm loving every second of it. you get to have real good knowledge, certification and discount for security+, what's not to like??
Congratz on getting close to finishing the program!🎊💯 I'd definitely go for your Security+ after completing it, it'll be the perfect credentials to add to your resume when you're applying for entry--level cybersecurity jobs
@@WithSandrahow would I go for the security +
I’m almost finished this cert I on week 6
@@angleeceiasorrentino this course prepares you for the security + so i suggest you go for it straight after, i have already finished the google cybersecurity certification and currently studying for the security +, and plus the new version of security plus is gonna come out so i suggest you get this course certified and start studying security plus and give the security + exam before July 2024 because then you will have to study the latest version of security plus which will be a NIGHTMARE
I'm already doing the course sandra. just about to finish module #2
i like it but personally so far i feel like it's more theoretical. there should be strictly labs based learning after module 1 which is the intro. wish cybrary fixed their app & made it less buggy, so far that's my favorite lab experience among the resources I've tried
Hi
Well, there can't only be labs based learning, you can't do in the lab what you don't know any theory about. The first 3 modules are more about theory, but from tools of the trade, you get to play with linux and sql...it gets better!
@@straight-2-the-point thank you, i'm looking forward to it. i love linux & working with cli, should be fun
Here is my concern. The Google class takes forever and the certification will not get you a job and you won't remember the content for Security+ by studying a non specialized class for 1 hour a day for 6 months. I got the Google IT Customer Support Cert and did not find a job or get any interviews. So I had to start over and get a CompTIA A+. This immediately was getting me interviews. 1/4 of the time invested. Same Cost. I think you could study for the Security + in one month and get on with your life with a real certification. Please make a new video and bash Google :)
Since the program is self-paced, you don’t have to stick to the 1-hr a day for 6-months schedule, someone just starting out could def finish it in 2-3 months. However, I don’t think Sec+ would only take a month to study for especially for beginners unless ur studying for hours a day, which most ppl wont be able to commit to when working or doing school, it took me 3-4 months to study for part-time and I was already working in cybersecurity and knew a lot of the concepts. It’s easy to say to just jump straight into studying for Sec+ but it’s not that realistic for beginners who have no background, which is also why I agree A+ is a good place to start in that case, especially if you’re interested in starting a career in IT first. I don’t think it’s a waste to learn the foundations, it’d be more of a waste to start off studying for Sec+ then give up halfway bc the material is a lot to grasp and then dropping cybersecurity altogether. It’s awesome that you were able to self-study in that amount of time though, you’re definitely off to a great start!
Great video! Thank you for creating it! I like the Python focus on this cert compared to the Sec+
Ty sandra! I’ll have to look into this after I finish my tech support first 😭😭!
Hey did you ever finish?
Great video! Thank you for the great information!
Hi, So I have a question as I'm am interested in entering Cybersecurity or Cloud Security and have only my degrees (BS in IT, MS in Information Systems, and MS in Cybersecurity). I don't have any certifications at the moment, but have some ont the job experience that I am getting with my job now as a Tech Support Analyst/Engineer doing API troubleshooting, Databricks, S3, Snowflake, SQL, and Prisma Guard Duty Security Alerts. My questions are: Would I approach Cybersecurity or Cloud Security as a entry level person? And being that I am intersted ion security, which certification route would be best to start? Thanks.
Same bro I'm tryna be cloud security, Bro you're so set, all you need to do is ccna, security+, and probably another one I gorgot

I'm curious why Americans all seem to have the impression that all prices for them are higher and they must be "much less" for the rest of the world when the opposite is true always, it's so bizarre
I'm on the Automation with Python so I'm almost done
Congratz on finishing soon! 🎊🎊💯 Next up, Security+ :)
Same here man and i have my security + already
Hey Sandra, I have been following you for some time now and your videos are really helpful!! I am a sophomore and I am looking for internship in cybersecurity but don't know where to find one with little experience. It would be really helpful if you can make one video on this topic!!
please take the course! remember I'm an influencer marketer
Hi! Great content🎉! What is a realistic Entry-Level Job Salary with this Prof. Cert? Looking to transition
could you please review the Coursera Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst Professional course
I've been seeing some news about this course, would love to do a review! Thanks for the video rec! 💯
I appreciate all the info you provide in each video. With taking this or any cybersecurity certifacte course would any laptop/chromebook be sufficient?
This woman has some awesome content. Plus she 🔥. Anyways, I am just now entering the IT field, abt to anyways. Im kinda lost as where to start. Im not sure if I should do A+ or not. Like im not wanting a helpdesk job, but I may have to start out with that. Any advice?
Quick question. Did you take this certificate program before or after making this video?
So is it good to do this course and study and take the security plus certification from Comptia ?!?
My approach is to start help desk finish this course than apply for cyber roles after I’m done with this course and attain security + is that a good strategy?
I saw you have a course too..how does that compare to this course?
Very helpful
Glad this was able to help! 😄
I just completed my google cybersecurity certification. I need to know is there any thing I should have to complete to get a job?
As part of the program, you also get a discount for taking the Security+ cert, I'd highly recommend studying for it while starting to apply for entry level jobs and interview prep, good luck!!
If i enroll 3 month, i can access 8 course and get professional certification (or) only one course .
Pls clear me
hell yeah
Super interesting certificate by Google
Thanks for watching Luca!
Just passed security+ exam
Congrats on passing your Sec+!!💯🎊🤗
@@WithSandra Thank you!! 🙏🏾
Its very basic course and full of filler chit chat
Her ig ?
I'm definitely looking into this program and getting the certificate. Hopefully the job placement is legit.
Good luck with the program, would love to have you keep us updated on your experience! 🎊
