Happy Monday everyone!! I'm already seeing a lot of comments about certain items in this video (target haul and sleep sack) so I just updated the description with ALL the links xoxo
Everytime I watch your videos I'm in awe of how amazing you are at being a single parent. I think single parents are super heros and I don't understand how y'all do it all 🙌
I’d love to see a hair style routine. Your hair always looks in tact while being a super busy mom, and I’m tired of looking like the grudge in front of my daughter 😅
When my 12 month old started daycare she switched to a one nap a day schedule. She was so stimulated and excited about a new environment that by nap time at 12:30,(after lunch), she was so tired and ready for a nap. She naps usually 2.5 hours with a 7pm bedtime and then sleeps until 6:30-7am. I actually love the 1 nap a day because we can do so much on the weekends without having to worry about getting home by 10 for her first nap and then again at 3 for her second nap
Sometimes we feel so burnt out & alone as moms. You know how to cheer a gal up! Your mommyhood is honorable. Real & raw! We SO appreciate that! Love these vids. Makes me feel like I can relate with my almost 11mo old daughter! A day in the life like this isn’t all fun & games. 🥰🥂 cheers!
@@brittanybalyn As I’ve been up since 3:30 am w/ the mini human, so true! I face this reality that we definitely aren’t alone! Sleepless parents unite! 😅
I needed this today, dude! Thank you! I am a SaHM to a 6 month little boy and when I say it's draining, thats not even scratching the surface. Thank you for always keeping it real, Brittany! Also, Arrow is so cute!
Having the luxury that my husband helps so much and my baby in daycare literally all day and still having hard time being a mother, watching this video actually inspires me ✨
Single mom to an almost 14 month old and your videos and sharing your story has really helped me so much. At first I was so sad about it but you really made me feel like it’s possible to do things in a positive way and still give my baby a good life so thank you so much for sharing. It’s also been so nice to see someone else going through things you may experience yourself helps me not to feel alone. Your baby girl is beautiful and you are really rocking it as a mom.
My 14m old transitioned from 2-1 nap about 3 weeks ago now (refusing 2nd nap for a week too). At first it was super rough because like you said that first nap is so need for yourself but it’s gotten easier for us. He used to only sleep 2hrs during the day from 11:30am-1:30pm, but now sleeps 11-2pm and that 3hr window is GREAT. All the best! Arrow will have good and bad days with naps 💖✨ you’re doing amazing!
I love when you share arrows sleep schedule. I know you don’t do it a lot because it’s different for everyone but I love hearing your thought process on it !!! Love the realness of this video. You the best !
Ugh the 2-1 nap transition is so hard but once it's settled in it's the BESSSST. You get so much more freedom in your day, and the one long nap is so much better than two short ones. Hawk would nap for 3 hours and it felt like an eternity 🙌 Also you hair looks amazing 🔥
Your 15 month goal schedule is my 15 month baby girl schedule it’s great, wakes up @7 am nap 12:30 to 2:30 sometimes to 2 pm and asleep 8 pm ! Great 👍🏼
We did the 2->1 nap transition at the same time, 15 months. I was so sad but it’s actually granted us way more time for out of the house stuff and just fun stuff in general. Plus the one nap is longer so that’s nice. I pushed ours till 1pm, it allows the whole morning for activities and lunch w friends at the park or something. Then you get 1-3 of nap time when you’re worn out.
Hi I found dropping a nap was tough, so instead I got her used to doing quite time, if she slept her second nap that was great if not she knew it was quite time I would put a few books or a couple toys in with her and it helped so much with being able to still get stuff done or even having a little me time 😀❤️
We JUST went through this. My little man is 13 months and for a week straight refused second nap. We started transition to one. Like you said it was rough at first very long second wake period and cranky. We just moved the awake window in morning by 15 every couple days. He’s now napping around 12 and sleeping 2-21/2 hours! He used to only sleep like an hour twenty maybe so it’s honestly really really nice even though we lost a nap ❤️
Oh I love this routine! My 14 month old also transitioned to 1 nap a day and it was hell. She was upset most the time and I considered going back to 2. She now goes to sleep at 12:30 and at night only at 20:30. My days are long. You are doing a great job momma! Xxx
We just finished the transition and it was rough. Took about a month but we are through! She sleeps until 730 now and has a 2-3hr nap. It's working but just stay with it. I feel ya
My 16 month old transitioned to one nap a day about a month ago... She only sleeps for 1.5 hours each day and about 10 hours at night 😩 it's been so hard to get anything done, as my hubby and I are expecting #2 and I'm needing 9-10 hours of sleep and my 16 month old still rarely sleeps through the night, even though we cut nursings down to only before her nap a few weeks ago. It's been rough when all I want to do during her nap is to nap myself. My hubby is so good to us though and takes care of baby and the house when he gets home from work some days when I have no energy to clean up
Also went from 2 naps to 1 here 😅 My daughter’s 13 months old, and she kept taking longer and longer to fall asleep for her second nap, which would result in a awkward short wake window before her bedtime routine. We’ve been transitioning for a couple of weeks now and I think she’s starting to get used to it. Good luck to anyone else going through nap transitions! 🍀
Two naps....ah a dream....my baby is 10months and he is already down to 1nap a day....saying im tired is an understatement :) thank you for such a great video... we all go through the same :D
I thought my baby might need to drop a nap because she refused her second nap for several days in a row but my nanny friend told me most babies need 2 naps until they are around 2 and it was probably a sleep regression. I kept our schedule and it took her a while to fall asleep for the first couple days but she eventually got back to her routine. Every baby is different but you may want to try to make the 2 naps a day last as long as possible if you think it may be a regression 🙂
I couldn’t imagine waking up at 6am 😩 I would be a mess all day. You’re amazing! Luckily for me my 15 month old sleeps till 11:30-12:00 ish lol he loves his sleep
@@alexisbrown8248 I love my quiet night time so mine is in bed by 19-1930 and I love to have the night for myself. But I didnt do anything for it, she really wants her bed at that time and even points to it if we wait too long 😂. Very nice tho that yours can stay up so late
My son is now 14 months and he has 1 Nap a day. He wakes up around 8 and has his nap at 12 to 2pm. His bed time is at 8pm and i know its pretty late but it works just perfect for us. Luckily our transition to 1 Nap was really easy
I mean the realness is SO real. 😂Single mom of an 8 month old and I can relate too much. Your vids cheer me up and remind me to take time out for myself! Side note- how do you like your sofa? Still soft? I’m thinking about buying the same from my bobs over here in DC.♥️

Just discovering your channel, as I've been searching for inspiration around shared custody with a baby. I had mine the week lockdown started and have been dealing with the shared custody thing from birth. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate your vulnerability about how overwhelming it is to be the person in the home that does EVERYTHING. Even when another parent is involved with the child, it doesn't change the fact that single working mothers that don't have a new partner are still doing a multi-person job alone 24/7. What I would give some days to not have to do dinner AND bath AND dishes AND bedtime AND the morning routine after a night of multi wakeups/feedings. It is psychologically and physically so intense, especially because there is the entire life of the child ahead, as opposed to when couples split later in a kids' life. I'm two years in now, and so proud of the mom I always knew I could be, ESPECIALLY without the support I had always fantasized about.
Absolutely loved this one so lovely and reassuring to see a relating DITL so thank you ❤️ I noticed the schedules were all huckleberry.... Do you use this all then? I am but only the free version, trying to decide if the full version is worthwhile? Any feedback appreciated?! X
@@brittanybalyn ah okay thanks! Did you just create your own based on Arrow? Thank you so much for keeping it real and raw. 1 year postpartum and feel like MH is worse now than the newborn days.... Knowing I'm not as alone as I feel helps ❤️
"Whenever you start to get used to a routine or schedule, your baby changes." EXACTLY. I feel like as mom's we are constantly learning, unlearning, relearning, adapting..It's pretty crazy! 🥴😅
so true!! 😅 I just keep trying to remind myself that with these changes come the good changes too. Arrow starting hugging me at 15 months and now it's my favorite thing it life xoxo
Just wanted to tell you I have been following you since I have a 9 month old. It's nice to see what is coming for my daughter and I find it funny I was going to buy that same wagon thing for Christmas for her. Arrow is adorable and I love how raw and funny you are.Thank you!
We use black our blinds layered with blackout currents and so our LO’s room stays extra dark and she doesn’t get up until 7:30-9 most days. When we don’t have the darkness she’s up at 6:30/7.
Oh wow, that 5am part with the „say goodbye to insomnia“ book 🤍 hope you find a solution for that soon! I had many many sleepless nights as well as I could not stop my brain from thinking and worrying at night up until my lo was around 10 months old. Right now, I am just so exhausted at the end of the day that I somehow manage to sleep. Haven’t found a cure yet either. But I gues it’s worse when you are a single parent and have TO MUCH MORE to deal with and think about on your own. Wish you all the best!!!!
My daughter is 14 months, and she went to one nap a bit early. Having the one block of longer time actually was a GAME CHANGER. I enjoyed being able to clean and eat or just eat and relax for one longer period. It’s easier to leave the house with her this way, for us anyways. No worrying about being home in time for nap #2
ok, this is comforting. My 13 month old has been doing twice, a one nap day but I hope when it's a one nap, it will be a big chuck off like yours. She is usually only taking an 45mins to 1.5hours (usually total 2hrs both naps).
@@dawnforlife I was struggling so much towards the tail end of two naps. The short first nap, and not knowing if I would get a second nap… and by bedtime I was in dire need of some peace, which made me feel like a horrible mom! Bedtime has become a time of cuddles and love again with the one nap per day schedule ❤️
Thank you so much! I love this type of video! I have 9 month old who has been on a two nap schedule for a month and I love it. It's so much easier to get things done. I'm glad everyone else is like ... What elese can I do with my baby all day?! I like seeing normal day to day things!
My 13 month old takes one good nap a day, I tried to stay on a schedule being a SAHM but my mom really frazzled our schedule by pushing and pushing my times. We were awake by 8 and napping between 12-3 not anymore, now we go to bed between 10-11pm and wake up by 9-11 am usually wake between 9 and 10 but some days it’s later. We dropped the 2nd nap by 7 or 8 months so we have been use to the one nap a day, but here lately with teething her going down for a nap gets later and later as long as our nap schedule is before 3 we get to bed on a good schedule, I’m so blessed to say my daughter is easy when it comes to schedules but I try schedule wise not to make a big deal if we are an hour or 2 later than normal bc I was a stiffler on times but my husband being gone the majority of the month on swing shift working on the roads when he is home he messes our schedule up terrible. So I can say we are MOSTLY stable at nap times
Hi Brittany! I was wondering when did you start following a routine for Arrow instead of awake windows? I have a 6 month old and so keen to get a routine in place
What sleep sac do you use? I love your content and I can’t believe how big she is getting tho!! I’ve been here since she was born my son is almost five months 💙 and I just love how raw and real you are Thank you for that and for sharing ❤️
Oh my gosh the very end and when you're nursing on the couch. Girl I feel the same after the day is done! Ice cream in bed is the best way to decompress!
It's from Bob's discount furniture and it's called the Dream :) I LOVE IT - the only downfall is it's too soft to sleep on if you want to use it for guests!
My son is 13 months and has been refusing a second nap for almost a week. Too young right? Or what do I do? I don’t want to be on one nap schedule lolz
I would say double check all factors first because that is a little young. My check list is: long enough wake windows, is the environment the same (did an outing occur), teething, a developmental leap, was the first nap too long?
I work at a daycare and its def not too young (if they can nap good, at least 1.5 hours for example). The kids that went in with the one nap routine earlier than 15 months are actually still very good sleepers, sometimes even better than the ones that are so pushed to fit in a schedule that requires a certain amount of napping. No worries! All will end up good usually. There are kids who were terrible sleepers and I see them at almost 3 and theyre angels that love sleep.
This video is real life! Love it! My 15 month old is not taking his afternoon nap either Uggghhh he wakes up at 6:45-7a then goes down for a nap at 10:30 then up for lunch 12:30 ish we start our nightly routine at 6:20p and he is in bed asleep by 7p
Girl, i peeped that Kylie baby in the background! Would love on honest review of the products. Im always looking for new baby skin care and bath time products. Also love you and your channel, you are such an amazing mom!
My 10.5 month old has been fighting his second nap for a week now. He’ll either go down for his morning nap on time and refuse the afternoon and be in bed by 5:30pm or he’ll fight his morning nap and sleep 11-1:00 and be in bed by 6. SOS LOL I feel like it’s waaaay too early for his wake window to stretch that long
Hang in there B! It took us about a month to settle into the 1 nap. I was so scared to let 2 naps go because it helped me out a lot but once my babe settled in the 1 nap actually it started to work very nicely for both of us 👍 although there are still those days where she wakes up at 6 am because of teething etc and then we have to rethink the schedule. it is true that whenever we get used to a routine our babies move on to the next step 😝
Doing my self care now now that baby is asleep for the night. Got my shower, cozy pajamas, candle lit and I poured a white claw into a cute glass to feel fancy 😂
My baby is 8.5 months and I am actually waiting to transition from 3 to 2 sleeps, to have longer stretches of sleep and some time for me. Love watching you with Arrow :*
My daughters sleeping was so wacky! She would fight her sleep and wasn’t so easy to put down at bedtime and her naps were so short. She’s almost 22 months now but I want to say around 16 months her doctor said she wasn’t getting enough sleep because she would go to sleep late and wake up early so she suggested dropping to 1 nap a day and it was a tough tough transition but it helped her so much! Hang in there momma it gets better! Love your channel! ❤️
Thank you so much for the support, we're just now getting to a good 1 nap schedule but it's taken a few weeks! (this was filmed 3 weeks ago). We're now getting a 6:30am wake up and a 10:45 - 12:45 nap and a 6:45 bedtime (with a couple 5am or 7am wake ups lol)
That’s actually a great schedule! I’m not kidding my daughter would stay awake sometimes till 10:30 pm because she would not want to go to bed but now that she’s been on 1 nap she’s heading to bed 7:30 or 8:00pm with no fights. I will note she has been not wanting to nap this last week so she skips her nap and I’m not ready for that to be a normal thing. Hopefully your little one stays on that schedule for a while. Good luck! 👍🏽 Also I live in Los Angeles so cool you’re local here 😃
I’m a solo mum. I currently bed share with my 12 month old. I wish I’d focused on sleep training. My Bub will only sleep if I’m next to him, which leaves no personal time.
Just wondering if you’ve considered getting a part time nanny/babysitter. When I was in college I would watch this woman’s toddler in the morning 6:30-9:30am so she had time to go to the gym and get ready for the day.
I just did the 3 to 2 nap switch with my 7 month old. Which is nice cause I can do stuff instead of staring at clock and rushing back home for a nap. Lol at Arrow mopping. So cute!
Lol i had flashbacks reading your comment. I was like that with the clock when my baby had more naps. Transition from 3 to 2 was a wreck for me. He was shifting his night time down to 10-11pm some days and it was crazy. Now he suddenly switched to 1 nap. Not sure how it happened. Just got amazed everyday as they grow up.
Watching this at 2am 🇸🇬 time and remembered my unfolded laundry 😂,love the raw vlog and definitely can relate my daughter is 15months old too July babies 🥳
That really doesnt matter if they sleep long. I worked in a daycare and were going way overboard now with the month schedules. Some babies just sleep one nap and make it a long one way sooner than other babies
How have I never seen these $10 shoes at target?! Super cute. Loved watching Arrow swifter and lean on stuff while you folded laundry. My lil one does the same stuff 💖
If you feel like they’re a good length and getting 10-12 hours at night time - then it’s totally fine! When you’re ready switching to 2 naps can maybe increase the length of each naps if you feel like they’re shortening :)
Happy Monday everyone!! I'm already seeing a lot of comments about certain items in this video (target haul and sleep sack) so I just updated the description with ALL the links xoxo

so true!! 😅 I just keep trying to remind myself that with these changes come the good changes too. Arrow starting hugging me at 15 months and now it's my favorite thing it life xoxo
Where is the necklace from with an A 😍😍😍
Just wanted to tell you I have been following you since I have a 9 month old.
What time does she go to bed? Just curious. :)
The music in the last part of the video was amazing. This one is my favorite video. 🥰
Having the one block of longer time actually
was a GAME CHANGER.
I've looking for a vitamin c cream, so great timing 👌
Arrow pushing the swiffer around😭😩❤️
I KNOW, why are things like that just the cutest!?!
i love the music u used
Thank you so much! I love this type of video! I have 9 month old who has been on a two nap schedule for a month and I love it. It's so much easier to get things done. I'm glad everyone else is like ... What elese can I do with my baby all day?! I like seeing normal day to day things!
I need the pot details. Please!
when arrow knocked her cup off 😂😂😂
Such a mood
I love your authenticity 🥰 and enjoy your videos a lot
What sleeper do you use for arrow ?
Sleep sack? The Kyte baby 1 tog :)
@@brittanybalyn yes thank you !
I love love love oil of OLAY.. I ve been using it since Im 16, I am 45 now with great skin.
God, I really love these kinds of videos of yours! Keep them coming!
Kyte baby in 1 tog
Oh my gosh the very end and when you're nursing on the couch. Girl I feel the same after the day is done! Ice cream in bed is the best way to decompress!
Absolutely loved this video. Thank you for sharing 💕
Where did you get the sweatpants and longsleeve shirt? so cute!
Love this! Super real! I SO miss the days with a newborn... now I have a 5-year-old wild child! Where did you get your couch? Looks suuuuper comfy!!
It's from Bob's discount furniture and it's called the Dream :) I LOVE IT - the only downfall is it's too soft to sleep on if you want to use it for guests!
Anyone know where she got her necklace?
I loved this style of video!! 💖
You’re an amazing mother!!!!
I was just rewatching ur other videos omg thanks for this new one 😍💋🤞🏾
Hey Brittany! Where did you get your initial necklace?
martha calvo!
Does she wake up throughout the night at all?
I think my son is getting close to going one nap a day. He went from 2 hour and a half naps to 2 45 minute naps.
You are my motivation today 💛
You got this!! 💞
This video is real life! Love it!
My 15 month old is not taking his afternoon nap either Uggghhh he wakes up at 6:45-7a then goes down for a nap at 10:30 then up for lunch 12:30 ish we start our nightly routine at 6:20p and he is in bed asleep by 7p
is your necklace linked? i’m not seeing it
and brown shirt/ pants:)
Please link the A necklace you’re wearing 😍
I was so scared to let 2 naps go because it helped me out a lot but once my babe settled in the 1 nap actually it started to work very nicely for both of us 👍 although there are still those days where she wakes up at 6 am because of teething etc and then we have to rethink the schedule. it is true that whenever we get used to a routine our babies move on to the next step 😝
the fact that you, arrow, and your puggy were all wearing purple makes me so happy
Doing my self care now now that baby is asleep for the night. Got my shower, cozy pajamas, candle lit and I poured a white claw into a cute glass to feel fancy 😂
Oooooo yes I love that for you! I’m having a glass of wine and watching Netflix’s “Sexy Beasts” *self care* ✨
Magnesium lotion helps with my insomnia. I discovered it during pregnancy ❤️
Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll look into that! 💞
Good luck! 👍🏽 Also I live in Los Angeles so cool you’re local here 😃
My son only has 1 nap and still wakes a lot throughout the night he’s 13months any tips to help him sleep more x
I’m a solo mum. I currently bed share with my 12 month old. I wish I’d focused on sleep training. My Bub will only sleep if I’m next to him, which leaves no personal time.
9:47 whaa haha this is so cute
At least it’s washed. 13 month old, laundry unwashed today! 🧺 😆
@@dawnforlife ohh dear 😅
Loved it !!!!!
Thank you!! ❤️
My son is 11 months old and already down to 1 nap 😩😩
That really doesnt matter if they sleep long. I worked in a daycare and were going way overboard now with the month schedules. Some babies just sleep one nap and make it a long one way sooner than other babies
Is the tray attachment for Arrow's chair also Stokke? Or is it a different brand? :)
How have I never seen these $10 shoes at target?! Super cute. Loved watching Arrow swifter and lean on stuff while you folded laundry. My lil one does the same stuff 💖
I linked them in the description - they have other colors and prints too!!
Respect mama ❤
Does she wakes up in the middle of the night ?
It’s pretty uncommon for us now and usually due to a change in routine or teething!
My son is 11 months & he takes 3 naps is that bad?
If you feel like they’re a good length and getting 10-12 hours at night time - then it’s totally fine!
When you’re ready switching to 2 naps can maybe increase the length of each naps if you feel like they’re shortening :)
@@brittanybalyn omg you replied! i look up to you so much!! i’m 20 & a single mom too ❤️ thank you!!!
First ❤️❤️ love you two
