- Summer 2010. During my trip to California, I journeyed out to Oakland to see the famous railroad street running trackage through Jack London Square on former Southern Pacific (now Union Pacific) rails. The first train I caught when I arrived was a long Union Pacific mixed freight. After that, it was nothing but a parade of Amtrak California trains before I headed back to San Francisco. Please like and enjoy. For best viewing experience, please watch in high definition.
Thanks. Yeah, I wish I had seen more variety with engine power and the BNSF Warm Springs Local I had read about. I didn't go to an A's game. This was my only day of railfanning while I was visiting family in San Francisco. I plan to explore more of the old Southern Pacific next time I am around and head towards the areas where there are more freights.
thank you for this. great fun.
dude your close up shots are amazing, you capture the train shaking around. That is something you would see zoomed out. Very Nice!!
did you notice the amtrak capital corridor train with 2 F59's
Amtrak needs more dash 8s
***** Why would they need more of those?
I love that P5 on 8306
Miles Campbell ikr
Same
It's a shame you didn't see either of the two Dash 8-32BWH locomotives that served Amtrak CA at the time.
P5 ftw!
I am looking a train video in that location when a long UP internodal stops and the Amtrak proceeds. Anyone
0:25 Someone left the belly cap open
Nice
11:06 what horn is that?🤔
Oh a p5
P5 horn
amtrak needs more P32-8's
were i live i get ns train action
because the P32-8's there stronger the EMD F59's
If the F59's were that bad, Amtrak would have ordered something to replace them already but it's obvious F59's are still performing the way Amtrak needs them to.
They did the seimens Sc-44 chargers
