Yung Giorno You’re kinda putting the cart before the horse there. If you had the sharingan, you’d gain the perception to not have to cheat, unless you were being tested on material you were never taught in the first place.
I know the Uchiha were gifted with intellect regardless of them awakening their sharingan but I imagine it’s nigh impossible to forget anything you’ve seen with those eyes. Photographic memory on steroids.

The sharingan is like training wheels for ninja lol. Suck at fighting? Here now you can read their movments. Still getting bodied? Summon a giant skeleton monster. Still not working? Heres a respawn along with a list of other moves that are convenient for plot.

very good video but there are 2 things that are not well explained.
The big thing about the sharingan and uchiha in particular is that they feel the deepest love in their hearts. when this deep love is released they become much stronger. that much that they surpass the senju in that department. however this also makes them vulnerable to the opposite emotion. which is grief and hate.
Love is diffrent since it comes at moments that makes you happy. with hate and grief it's diffrent. when an uchiha experiences a loss of a loved one or someone lets say annihilated his entire clan. there is a special condition that emerges, you did mention the special chakra released in their brains but this only happens when uchiha gets consumed by grief and hatred. which is the special condition that is the sharingan.
"The eyes that reflect the heart" you explained this wrong. because of strong grief and hate the power they get is contineous and especially when facing someone that is a object of that hatred increases their strength numerous times. this is gonna stretch out until the uchiha is unstoppable.
This is what happend to madara in particular. because of tobirama killing izuna in particular madara was extremely vulnerable to hate. which manifested after overhearing tobirama the person who killed his younger brother. not to mention when he got killed he went and got EMS.
now the other thing that wasn't well explained it again is about the special chakra released in their brain. not only does it make their visual prowess stronger but they got consumed by much more hate. it forces an uchiha to not think straight anymore. resulting in false perceptions that they experience. for example sasuke before he got the mangekyo sharingan was not that much consumed by hatred thanks to team 7. but after getting the curse mark the emotions he felt again because of orochimaru wanting to release that emotion and make him break up from the team was the big reason he released that special chakra in his brain. after joining orochimaru sasuke tried to kill naruto/sakura, which before he didn't (and no sasuke did not want to kill naruto in the final valley.)
You don't just completely master your sharingan with just training. you could but like i said the hate uchiha feels makes them stronger. which in particular is their visual prowess. which helps them evolve their sharingan faster. this you didn't explain in your video.

Izanami is kinda fucked. How is it determined they fix their mistakes? How can there be any objective way to determine that? Is it based off the user's opinion? That's scary.
I think in the show it was explained more like the victim must accept the ramifications that would have occurred without the use of Izanagi and use this new acceptance to teach others to accept mistakes they make so that they can work to better themselves after. Kinda dumb considering they couldn't have accepted anything without using Izanagi to survive, but whatever. Maybe it's like learning to accept your inevitable death? I dunno

Now when I come to think of it, you are right ! But I think we all know that there is less than 1% of seing the Izanagi / Izanami in the franchise ever again. This jutsu was there so it could get the Itachi & Sasuke arc done.

I think the Sharingan and the Byakugan are references to Miyamoto Musashi's Philosophy. In his "Book of five rings", he talks about 2 ways to watch your surroundings.
First, the perceiving sight. That means you keep EVERYTHING around you in mind and look at everything and nothing ad once. Would be the equivalent of the Byakugan.
Second, the piercing sight. This means to completely concentrate on your oponent, analyse his movements, and predict his next attack. Equivalent of the Sharingan.
Miyamoto Musashi also said that the piercing sight is stronger.

@nick duh hooper you're right but you have to admit watching this for the first time thinking the byakugan is so damn powerful then the shows proceed on making the sharingan shit on it with one powerup after another.
It's pretty clear that Kishimoto intended for the Byakugan (and the Hyuga in general) to be crazy overpowered, but never really went anywhere with it. They're still pretty formidable, as basically everyone in the clan can shut down someone's chakra network and it's an instant gg, and they're masters of Taijutsu, but by Shippuden when Naruto starts throwing Rasenshuriken and Bijuudama everywhere, Taijutsu starts to matter less and less until it's forced into relevancy - for example, Pain's ability to absorb Ninjutsu with the Rinnegan forced Naruto to have to approach him head-on.
Also, the Hyuga were kind of undermined when Naruto showed that (if you're a Jinchuriki at least, but it's possible to argue this would work for a Gates user too) if you have your chakra refreshed in some way, either through your Bijuu giving you access to their chakra (or if you open the Eight Gates to revitalize yourself, maybe) you can override the 64 Palms technique. This kind of made the Hyuga a lot less threatening, although admittedly there's not many Jinchuriki for them to have to worry baout.
The Byakugan is stronger than the sharingan itself, as at that point only a total of 5 Uchiha (itachi, Shisui, Madara, itachis dad, and obito) and Kakashi had awakened the mangekyou sharingan, and I believe only 2 ever awaken the eternal mangekyou sharingan (sasuke and Madara) so basically, sharingan
Sharigan is broken af.. it changes completely from part 1 to shippuden. It went from copying Justus, to phasing in and out of reality to some kinda different world. Obito never showed mangekyo until the war, but he continued to spam kamui with no eye bleeding or blindness. Bullshit

That was Dozū, the mummified sound ninja. Sasuke recreated the pencil strokes by using his sharingan to trace and copy the pattern of the pencil via staring at the one using said pencil.

I always thought that to use Izanagi or Izanami you had to either 1. Have both a base Sharingan and Senju DNA or 2. Have the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Since all of the Uchiha in the flashbacks and in the present who used the techniques also possessed the Mangekyo. While users who only had the base Sharingan (like Danzo) needed Hashirama's DNA.
Makes more sense than anything Kishimoto would've written in
I think what happened was that most Uchiha who discovered Izanagi and Izanami had already pushed their Sharingan to Mangekyou level. Just a coincidence feel me?
It still wouldn't make sense if them having the Mangekyo was coincidence or not. Considering the fact that you also supposedly needed Senju DNA. The fact that they clearly didn't have Senju DNA and a base Sharingan but did have the Mangekyo shows that what I previously said is probably accurate.

What the Sharingan is:
The most bloated, excessively powerful ability in almost all of otaku history. It can see really well, it can see chakra networks, it can copy movements, it can put enemies in genjutsu just by crossing eyesight, it can make flames that consume other flames, it can put you in the ultimate genjutsu, it can create an ethereal construct with such complicated mechanisms that it required its own video to explain it.

When you said Danzo says "That Izanagi requires senju dna to be pulled off" I think he meant non-Uchiha's need senju dna ergo how he was able to develop it.
It's kind of a plothole, but yeah, that would explain it. It doesn't make much sense, however - why would non-Uchiha need Senju DNA when supposedly the power comes from the Sharingan itself, not from Hashirama cells. If it causes such a strain on the body that it requires Hashi cells for it to not hurt the user, then why wasn't this explained? And why wouldn't it affect Uchiha? I know it's their natural Dojutsu, but it's kinda weird
@@liyifenn Danzo needs the cells for the healing factor, they explain multiple times Sharingan are deadly inside the eye socket of a non uchiha because of the power and the curse of the sharingan, Kakashi is only able to handle it in small amounts due to his immense power and because he was a prodigy, which Danzo was not. The uchiha have the curse of the Sharingan meaning it behaves differently like we know when eyes are put into an uchiha it enhances their power not hinders them the complete opposite effect. Remember if ur an uchiha with out the eternal mangyeko you will eventually lose your eyes after using them enough, this effects uchihas differently as we see with Sasuke because of his paticular amount of raw power and the amount of times he uses it he loses his prowesses much quicker than his brother.
The way I understand it is that having both Senju and Uchiha DNA makes using the Jutsu less destructive for the own eye. Lacking the Senju cells, a single use makes the eye lose its light. With the cells however, the effects are diminished and the jutsu can be used multiple times (or for a divideable time frame like Danzo did) before it goes blind.
Literally idk what the hell anyone is talking about when talking about naruto abilities. It’s one of those things you have to see to understand and it’s like 700 episodes long 😂
You make a point but I think wood release itself is a metaphor for the abilities of Hashirama's cells. Meaning just like how plants regenerate, Hashiram's cells also have regenerative properties. An eye loosing it's light is like the rods, cons, optic nerves and Iris getting damaged but with Hashirama's cells the eyes regenerates after a while without ever going blind. Also, I think it is peculiar to Hashirama DNA not the senju DNA.
Also the effects of mixing uchiha DNA and Senju would just make a stronger ninja but for someone to awaken the reningan I think you have to be either an uchiha or Senju who is the rencarnate of either Indra or Ashura
Ashura (sage of six paths physical body and chakra) / Indra (sage of six paths eyes and intellect)
Ashura rencarnate can unlock reningan by taking the Sharigan of Indra rencarnate and Indra rencarnate can unlock reningan by taking patching a part of Ashura rencarnate to his or herself.

I just realized something about Madara and his eyes so I'm just gonna put this my epiphany out there for anyone interested since I'm sure swagkage already knows this and this is for those who might not already know.
The eye used by Madara after he saved obito (the one we see him have while he is the old man attached to the statue) aren't his eyes. By that time obito is crushed by the rock, minato has already been fully trained by jiraiya. But jiraiya by that point had already finished training nagato since nagato and his friends came before minato. This means Madara had already given both of his original eyes( his rinnegan) to nagato. So the sharingan eye Madara had at the time he saves obito isn't his, which would explain why he only has one eye( he mentions he is missing one to obito). So in conclusion while he did restore eyesight to his eye (the one used for izanangi) by evolving his eyes to the rinnegan, the one old man Madara is using is a sharingan he took from some poor unnamed uchiha.
No, when you use resurrection jutsu, you reincarnate someone from any time within a certain period before their death. Furthermore, if sasuke had stolen Itachi's eye then died and Itachi was resurrected, he would be able to have his eye back.

Imagine if they ever make a live version of Naruto: they could so easily explain the Sharingan by defining each comma as a type of secondary and thirdly pupil that allows more light= information to the optic nerve, hence 2x or even 3x the sight of a normal human... Since the eye is literally defined as the "window into the soul", one can only image the level of pain, sorrow and stress inflicted on an individual to manifest such magnificent eyesight

You don't have to kill your best friend to awaken the mongekyou sharingan itachi just told sasuke that cuz he knew it would work that way but its not the only way it happens whenever an uchiha feels an intense emotional pain a chemical is released in their brain activating but that emotional pain can come from many things it doesn't have to be a murder of a bff

Personally I love the sharingan and I’ll explain why. To me, it embodies the saying “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. Awaking the eye is due to great physical or emotional pain, and every advancement from there on is also due to overcoming pain. The strong only become strong because they have suffered and endured the pain to get there. The best example I can think off top of my head would be killing your best friend to get the mangekyo (sp?) sharingan. That is not easy to do nor is it easy to emotionally handle; take Itachi awakening his when Shisui sacrificed himself. It is a physical representation of the amount of pain someone has gone through, and that’s why my first tattoo will be the transformation of sasuke’s sharingan (from one tomoe all the way to eternal mangekyo sharingan).
I noticed how every uchiha who first unlocked 2 tomoe sharingan later on had mangekyou sharingan that grants them 2 abilities. But I also noticed how every uchiha who first awakened 1 tomoe sharingan, when they later on awaken mangekyou sharingan, they don't have any special abilities. Though later on they tend to be stronger.
I always come back to these videos because it makes me appreciate how op "older" abilities are.

Personally, i always felt that the Sharigan was broken as hell. It really hard to follow and doesn't make sense with the abilities people can get. Though i always did wonder something personally. Lets say people from show who mastered the Sharingan never had it, like Sasuke or Itachi. How strong do you think they would be? I mean, Naruto is strong as fuck, and he has no Sharingan. (Though, i will say that being born with the Nine Tails being placed in you might be just as unfair) So honestly, at what rank of power would Sasuke and other users be without the Sharingan?
Naruto and sasuke would be on the same level as each other but on a smaller scale. i say this because of how they were in the academy. Naruto is an uzimaki meaning he already has naturally higher chakra and i think regenerative ability. as for other users like madara and itachi i think they would still be at least jonin level

People really overlook madara's natural taijutsu abilities cause he's always performing complex demigod-scale jutsus but in the war when Madara was with Muu, he really shows off them fighting skills.

The existence of the Sharingan (and by extension the Uchiha clan) is one of the most conflicting powers in Naruto for me. I love it, but I also hate it at the same time. It's really cool, and I love some of the characters who use it. But it's so OP that it tends to take away from the stakes of some of the battles.

Izanami is cast on the target by using the physical sense of both the target and the caster in the moment and then, using Sharingan, you take "snapshots" at random times and eventually recreate those the time of the first cast.

The best explanation for what appears to be a retcon regarding the use of Izanagi I could come up with would be how it could be an attempt to prevent Uchihas from throwing their eyes away because they want to deal with a fatal situation without risk, like a way to keep order or even prevent Sharingan thieves from getting rid of the eye(s) after the Uchiha corner them. Then again, the fact that it wasn't addressed means we'll never know.

Only a 3-tomoe sharingan can copy jutsus and there are a lot of restrictions. If the user doesn't possess that nature and learned it in some way by knowledge of their own, they cannot perform it. Another is they cannot copy Kekkei Genkai, so they can only copy jutsus they can understand and also have that nature ability. A sharingan also can't copy forbidden jutsus of their own clan like Izanagi or Izanami or other nature Kekkei Genkai unless the person itself has awakened it using their own eyes or blood related. So for example, someone like Sasuke cannot copy any type of water or Wind techniques since he only has Fire and Lightning style.
Izanagi or Izanami can only be performed if the user has awakened Mangekyo Sharingan in both eyes and after using either of these techniques even once, the eye that performs it will forever shut its light away and ultimately be blind unless you awaken EMS prior to using it. If the user performs either of these before EMS, that eye will forever be gone.
Setting up the Izanami was explained, but as my word choice suggests, it's a time consuming setup that's impractical not because it only works on a certain type of person but more because it has an escape. To set it up, you need to record a set of actions that specifically stimulate all five senses of your opponent, and then use that recording to create a loop of those actions, you then use genjutsu to trap your opponent in that loop. To trap someone like Naruto in the genjutsu, all you'd need to do is prey on his never give up attitude, and place him into a scenario where he has to accept that the only way to win a battle is to lose the fight.
I dislike the Sharingan because the writter was always fickle in answering what the fuck it does.
At first it was advertised as an eye that let you copy all jutsu, and that was great, but the idea was dropped quickly after Zabuza's arc.
I never saw Sasuke or Kakashi copying shit ever again, even though it could've given them an advantage in battles.
Then Itachi could hypnotize people with the Sharingan and pull them to a dimension of torture, but we never saw any other Sharingan user do it.
Now the Sharingan is all about augmenting people's reflexes (which sounds kinda lame), and if they worked well then Sasuke should rarely get hit; but he still gets hit all the time.

actually Kishimoto had this idea of copying jutsus with Kakashi at the beginning but he realized it was too powerful so he decided they could do jutsus like Amaterasu and Tsukyome like Itachi did when he first appeared. There were so major changes in the beginning of Naruto.
Writing a technique too powerful right at the beginning is like shooting yourself on your foot because you won't get any character to beat that.
To answer your question, at the end of Naruto, copying jutsus was impossible with Sharingan
The sharingan can only copy Jutsu the user has an affinity for kakashi can use all except wind but sasuke only has fire and lightning so very limited for most ppl as for mangekyou abilitys they change with different ppl and as for the reflexs they are at there strongest at 3 tomoe watch the naruto vs curse mark saskue and it is obvious. @@ethereal-2jz it only takes minimun time to cooldown to the owner of the eye, but if transplanted or not biologically dna connected to the eye veins and blood it is not compatible therefore the cooldown would take too long because of the incompatibility issue.

I think using the base sharingan to control the nine tails is a bit OP. I would like to think it’s a Mangekyou Sharingan ability. Also... I Think Izanami and Izanagi are last resort techniques. I would assume an Uchiha would use this two in a life or death situation in which nothing else can be done.
