@6:50 Your 9.2mm spacer is referenced from the wrong surface. The center round part is elevated above the mating surface (where the screw hols are), so you shouldn't measure from there.
@@lukaszbroda1094 Unless you have one that does it, I cant figure out why you are so negative about it? DO you have one that didnt work out as expected? DId you use abs or asa or did you use nylon or petg cause the latter two will mess stuff up massively, as far as if all is done correctly and everything is properly bolted in and the stuff tightened up without leaving slack or over stretching stuff i cant see the printer getting any sort of harmonic resonance or vibration noise as you put it. SO DO YOU HAVE THAT ISSUE? if so im sure i can help you fix it. where you hearing about some strange speed induced vibration? YOu do know in klipper it is pretty big about not using interpolation or any other quieting measures like stealthchop on the motors which does add noise, but thats only for max torque and speed and accuracy not cause there is no other choice
@Josh Hall forgot to add, steppers are LDO and Hiwin rails. Stealthchop off, interpolation set to false. My printer.cfg was reviewed by merc community and no issues has been found. If you will be able to help as you said I will be the happiest being on the planet
I just assembled the 5 plus. I’ll print a benchy and see how long it takes. Printed the stock rabbit and it took over an hour. Bumping up the speed didn’t seem to do much. Looking to improve the speed. So was the upgrade worth it?
I saw on reddit that you're going to use a hermit crab, I am interested in your solution for mounting, I would probably do a similar build once v1.1.5 gets released
Hi, I basically want to do the same conversion that you did, now I just want to confirm which motherboard will work, I'm in the market for a skr3 EZ, will that be sufficient? Regards
Hi Mike, I'm also interested in this, but leaning towards hydra. I have not look into this too much but is it right that it's not like we need to have 1.1 as a prereq before going to hydra? We can just go straight to hydra? Just will cost more 😅
I think the hydra just costs more. I would review the docs really well. I thought the docs for the mercury 1.1 were a little bare. Make sure you have enough to build.
Thanks for making this video i been looking for this
I am glad you found it helpful.

Thanks for pointing that out. I think I fixed it in a later video. I just finished the hydra upgrade this week.
Will be interesting to see if you will get the vibration noise at certain speeds as some people do on mercury1.1
I will keep you posted. I am hoping to finish the build this weekend.
I have never had that on mine and its been running since right when they rolled over to one.1 so its been a min. I love it honestly
Good for you, unfortunately not everyone is that lucky

So what is print time like before and after?
How long does it take to print a benchy?
I can't remember what the time was before I d8d the conversion last year. Right now it is about 40 minutes.

I should have a video up, with my solution, on Sunday.
Good video on HOW to...👍
I am glad you found it helpful.
Maybe it's just the camera angle, but that front-top cross bar looks crooked, and it's driving me nuts
It is a little crooked. It was loose and I pulled it when I turned the printer around. I will fixed it.
Swiss Army Knife for the win!
Always!

I have that board in. It will work.
are the stock motors of the e5+ useable for the corexy/motion system or do u need to buy new ones
I bought new but I think you could use stock. Keep in mind that I have not tested.
what material did you use to print all the parts
Initially I used pLA+ but I am converting over to ABS. At the time I could not safely print ABS.
ok thx just wanted to know I wanted try with PETG@@minimal3dp
Thank you for this video!
No problem.

Perfect. Now I'm off to do the same 😅
Good luck! Let me know if you have questions.
Where can I purchase the hardware for this upgrade
I used the BOM and sourced most of the hardware from AliExpress. Ido know that there are several kits available. I don't remember the brand.
Hello, what main board are you using for this build?
I am using the BTT SKR 3.
@@minimal3dp thank you! And I’m guessing you are using the TMC2209 drivers with it?
That is correct. Don't hesitate if you have more questions.
DId you have to buy new stepper motors or were the stock ones OK?
I bought new. You can’t use the y stepper.
@@minimal3dp could you use a pair of Creality extruder motors?
@@Victor_Castilho I am guessing you could but I am not sure if it would impact speed.
@@Victor_Castilho Creality motors are wired differently to most manufacturers, you would have to make a conversion chart for the wiring
@@Victor_Castilho I think the VRF would need changing
Hi everyone, has anyone got Z_tilt to work on the Ender 5 plus version, and if so can you share the printer.cfg
Do you have a 5 driver board like a 3ez or manta 5p?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks

Thanks to you, I'm just trying to lear. ,Import prices are an outrage between VAT and taxes

Hi
Hello?
A
Thanks???
I see it was a year ago... you have a lot of bass on your voice and it sounds terrible.
I think I have it corrected in newer videos. Sound is the Bain of my existence.
