Would love to know the square footage of your shed if you don't mind sharing. Trying to estimate how much space I would need for my own studio shed. Thanks in advance!

I love your sewing table! Did you DIY and put this together or did you buy this somewhere?

Hey! The main table is from ikea (MITTBACK) & I use a cutting mat on top. The little table that my sewing machines are on is an old folding sewing table, I no longer use it because it was kind of falling apart - but the IKEA one is what I use now and it's great :)

(you can get just the legs and change out the table top to a wider one!)

New sub. I totally get the hesitation re ridding industrial machine. Mine have been in storage as I do intend to use them again, when I’m in a similar space like yours. They are exy and I was lucky to have been given both straight sew and over locker as a gift and know I’d not have the opportunity to buy again, not for a long time anyway. Love your space. First video of yours I have watched. I’ve taken a long break from design (2013) but now diving back in due to wanting to sell downloadable patterns. Had to get my head around this. But I heard you say you use an artist for this? Or was that for printed patterns? I’m from Australia, any advice on where to search on how to get patterns printed? Not sure I’ll go down that path but may be good to offer both? We only ever learn manual pattern making so I’m finding this a huge learning curve to be able to offer professionally made patterns both downloadable and physical prints.

Thanks so much for watching & sharing your story, Lisa! How exciting you're getting back into design. I have both a pattern maker I work with here in the US and for printed patterns I've been referred to Palmer Printing and they are fantastic! For digitizing, I work with a designer as well. It has been a huge learning curve to figure it all out! I can't wait to one day offer printed patterns - right now I'm slowly growing the PDF side to get to that point :)
