It’s insane to give a full vote to people who don’t really have a basic understanding of much of our form of govt, most other forms of govt, and the give and take of those competing interests, or say, private sector vs govt employees. Non-citizens and people living here illegally having voting rights is just too stupid to even respond to, but I think we’re are starting to see the results of citizen voters who have no interest, loyalty, or alignment with U.S. culture and life views, as their religion commands them not to. Prob needs to be a discussion about freedom of religion, vs the right to vote or hold office , when the religion clearly has designs on contributing to the downfall of that govt and the culture of its citizens. I’ve always been taught suicide was a sin, and that sure looks like the path we’re on…

I joined the Corps when I was 17. When I was 24 I had served 6 years, was honorably discharged, and had two children. Calling a 24 year old a youth is beyond ridiculous.

MILITIAS don't have rights, the PEOPLE do. @@bigperm3853 That's a horrible reach of logic. Licensing makes no sense. It doesn't say that anywhere in the 2nd Amendment. It doesn't jive with the Federalist papers either. The only logical claim might be that the National Guard (state controlled army) is what is referred to by Hamilton as the militia. But in Federalist 29 we have Hamilton talking about "our sons, our brothers, our neighbors, our fellow-citizens" as part of this group of people. And he goes on to add "What shadow of danger can there be from men who are daily mingling with the rest of their countrymen and who participate with them in the same feelings, sentiments, habits and interests?"
@@deepzone31 the term well regulated means trained. How in modern society would you ensure someone had been trained? By requiring licenses. So yes, per the Constitution, in order to own a gun, you need to be licensed. If you are a law abiding citizen, then that should not be a problem

I grew up in SoCal, 80s-90s, during the peak of gang violence. When I was in junior high and high school I knew at least 4-5 kids who had guns illegally. Most common was handguns and shotguns. Most, but not all, we’re gang members. To this day you see news reports of felons committing crimes while in possession of a gun. Criminals have access to guns at will. These laws only prevent law abiding citizens from obtaining a gun. The Dems didn’t care until white kids started shooting up schools in the suburbs. Meanwhile the inner city has always dealt with gun violence. These strict laws are just another excuse to control us. Hitler banned gun ownership before the holocaust.

Done, abortions arent a right enumerated in the constitution as scotus ruled and remanded back to the states. The right to bear arms by text, history, and tradition under bruen has the specific legal clause "shall not be infringed. It is enumerated in the constitution, under the bruen ruling unless they can show such laws and tradition and text at the time of its ratification, they have no authority to regulate guns.
