  • This is the process of designing and sewing a couture gown with an internal corset, from design, to pattern making, fitting, sewing and finishing. This corseted dress has a sequin overlay with hidden, thread traced seams, a removable tulle overskirt and a long veil, both ombre dyed. This dress took 65 hours to make, including the pattern making and fittings. Welcome! I am a fashion designer and an advocate for unique self-expression. I want to encourage you to have the confidence to break free from fashion and beauty trends and to wear what you love.
    In my videos I show you how I design and create the extravagant couture gowns and outfits that I've become known for, how I upcycle and style vintage and pre-loved clothes, and how I create accessories, hair, and make up to complete the looks. It's so lovely to see people like you freeing people like me from the cheap, boring high street. You have inspired me to give it a go. I wish to have half the talent you have.

      The gown is absolutely stunning. What a beautiful hour-glass figure the corset gives, without actually seeing the corset. And it clearly shows just how complex the whole process is. Thank you.

    I keep coming back to this video and the vlogs of your making it. This is the video that led me to your channel and I'm so grateful it did! Would you consider doing a tutorial video about how you approach fitting a client (especially for a corset)? Fitting others is so intimidating to me.

      Thank you. I'm so glad to hear that you enjoy my videos and my work. Showing how to get the fit of toiles right (dresses and corsets) is something that I will be showing in more detail in future videos. I've got a video series that I'm starting to film next week of a corset body that I'm making for someone. I'm hoping to find volunteers of different sizes and proportions to appear in future videos as well.

    Wow, this is gorgeous. Pls how do you make the detachable tulle?

    • @RockstarsandRoyalty
      @RockstarsandRoyalty  4 года назад

      Thank you. For the overskirt, I just gathered the tulle onto a waistband, stopping the gathers at the width that I wanted the gap between the tulle edges to be at the front.

      I think it was 2 layers. I've got a video on making a tulle skirt here which you could adapt to make a detachable overskirt - ruclips.net/video/qVLGRlCQtGw/видео.html
