  • Cricketing legend Kevin Pietersen joins Piers Morgan Uncensored to give his reaction to Piers Morgan's worldwide exclusive with Cristiano Ronaldo, in which the footballer blasted his club Manchester United.
    Pietersen defends Ronaldo, telling Piers he believes the conditions in which the GOAT has to train are not good enough for his talent - and he says if the Portuguese footballer's claims about his bosses doubting him when his daughter was ill is true then that is "almost unforgiveable".

    The biggest disrespect in my opinion was to doubt Ronaldo when he didn't turn up to pre season. Ronaldo practically lives for training and getting prepared. If he doesn't turn up, its for a bloody good reason. To suggest otherwise is probably the highest disrespect you can show him. Ronaldo trains at home. He trains in his sleep. If he is not training, its for a bloody good reason.

    Work is a mans greatest source of pride, as it should be. Ronaldo has worked his whole life and earned his status, level and respect. Now, for a coach to not treat a player of his caliber as he should, he rightfully feels disrespected. Also, the alleged things that happened in the summer, as he described to Piers, is shockingly disrespectful to any employee, the least of all someone of Ronaldo's status.
    Also, so many want to jump on the train that Ronaldo aint good enough anymore. Stop it! In a system not suited for him, he still scored goals and performed last season. Dude is a machine and will continue to be for a couple more years. This season isnt even necessary to discuss as he has not had consistent starting games for United. Also, the fact remains that Ronaldo has had slow starts to many seasons since turning 30, but the great coaches (like Zidane) knew that their patience with him (as in starting him despite poor performances) would be paid back, which it did with historical Champions League success, for example. This season Ronaldo had a poor start again, but now even more justified as he had no pre-season. (I could also mention the obvious mental toll of the grievance he suffered, and again, the sheer disrespect of not being trusting in his word in the summer)
    Nevertheless, he will demonstrate his level again in the World Cup.

      I thought i was an idiot first but turns out there are indeed smart ones here, because the amount of time Ronaldo had space or makes a run towards the goal but these idiots choose to pass back to defenders and then back to De Gea got me super mad. Then you get them selfish wingers trying to score when ronaldo was literally there.
      The moment when Ronaldo gets subbed off and Rashford comes is when fuckin bruno starts making a cross……
      To me it was done all on purpose to make it look like hes a finished player.

    It was unorthodox for a player to do this but United sure deserves getting slapped with this interview. I think they managed the situation poorly they could have let him go early on, instead they let this come to this. Say what you will but United is not blameless on this happening. This is not just some player they were dealing with. United is in the shambles right now. No matter how positive Ten Hag may come to be it was poorly done with Ronaldo. The executive level at United sucks and they all need to go. United will not change from the bottom up but from the top down. I'm glad Ronaldo spoke up, criticize him all you want. Ibrahimović said it himself when he left the club has small mentality.

    Cr7 isn't wrong. How is it ok for your manager to not put you in a game where the team actually needs saving and says the reason he didnt do so is because of how much he respects you, but at the same time puts you with 3 mins left to play in a game thats already done and dusted. How is that not disrespect?
    And when you tell your employers that you need to show up for your family in their time of need and they doubt you after everything you have given to the game [the consistency, the work ethic, the match winning goals, the goals that saved united's season and made it way less embarrassing than it would have been (if he was as poor as rashford and sancho were or if he was as injured as Martial) ], How do u not feel disrespected after. He is not a robot, he is a famous HUMAN being who is amazing at what he does.
    And after all that, comes England, skysports and their weird takes on peoples conversations that are just off the rails. Only to be told by everyone involved that its was a joke. The sheer sh*ithousery is astounding. And the whole *cr7's issue are affecting portugal's camp. All of it nonsense.

      @giovanniferrari2198 Год назад

      @@tadiwativugari8403 yes it does. First, the manager is the boss, not Ronaldo, that's it. The boss makes the calls, sometimes they can be wrong, sometimes they can be right, but it's not on the player to decide. Second, let's talk about the games, vs Spurs United was winning 2-0. Spurs proved many times this and last season to be able to turn around games in the final minutes and in/or in stoppage time itself, you know that, if not do your homework. There are a millions debatable but still valid reasons TH wanted Ronaldo in, the games could have lasted 6-10 minutes more, a lot can happen in few minutes at the end of a game when players are tired and make more mistake, an experienced player such as Ronaldo can slow down the game, maybe get a free kick, maybe even score, or in general help the youngsters and the team in delicate minutes... but no Ronaldo decided that it was "disrespectful" and great he just walked off the game and went straight home. If you claim you are the professional you are you just do not behave in this way (oh by the way, did he apologize right? so it means he indeed did something wrong right?), that's not acceptable even if you are a superstar. Vs City United was trailing 6-1 (I repeat it, 6-1) until the 84th minutes. That's a demolition, not even a game anymore. Nothing to save here (in your words).Totally different from the other game. I wish TH put Ronald in and I wonder what Ronaldo's reaction could have been... maybe he would have walked off the stadium because that was disrespectful? We will never know, but the point is that Ronaldo is entitled to feel whatever he feels, nobody argues that, but he should balance his feelings with his thoughts depending on the situation. By the way, Ronaldo has a long history of making big scenes (which are disrespectful indeed towards manager and teammates) when he was substituted, we get it, he wants to play all the time, this is it at the end and it seems he has big issue in dealing with the fact he is not at the center of a team anymore, but talking about disrespect... that's bullshit. Even a player with a massive ego like Zlatan accepted to enter the game with few minutes left, never complained, always there for his mates, but here it looks like that Ronaldo cares about himself only, which is quite sad at the end.
