This market is so much fun. The crowds are huge but for good reason. I go here every year. Here is the video from last year if you want to see more.

I know makkasan district very well. I pass by it on my way home from work every day. I live about a mile and a half from Kasert on Phanyothin Road. Makkasan has changed a lot with the airport link passing right through it. It was built probably around 2010 or so.

A lot of the markets make food from Japan and Korea. Thais have traveled around and learned how to make it and many dishes have become Thai staples. It’s kind of interesting but at times it’s hard to even see traditional Thai food.
