POV:watching this the day before tryouts because you randomly decided to try out your sophomore year even though you’ve never played football and don’t know a thing about it
I got forced to watch this from my dad who forced me to go int flag football with me saying I didn’t want to and without my permission so wow that’s why I’m here
Thank you so much! I'm teaching the sport and having a lot of fun tinkering with the rules. I made my team "No Run" teams since the game is primarily passing. In addition to that I made the field 60 yards instead of 50. I also added an extra "Field Goal" option where the team has a chance to do a one on one WR vs DB, and then the team must make a completion in the endzone for the the score to count (otherwise turnover). Last rule, since my kids are just learning, is I made INT's worth one point but they can't be returned (since it's basically a pick six every time when playing five on five). Its a lot of fun and my kids are loving it!!
Do you find that this "no run" game leaves out kids that may be strong in running with the ball? I would think this derivation tends to favor kids who are QBs and/or taller in stature. Do you then mandate that the QB position is rotated among the team?
@@rjfeltus oooooo I like that rule, QB rotation, I'm actually going to do that now. No, kids found a work around the no run rule. The one yard pass haha. To which I had to create the "no offsides till the ball is thrown" rule so teams could get more of an ability to run short passes Plus, we only do coed and I teach in China, so introducing it al of this to them is a completely new concept, but they have had a LOT of fun learning, I have the biggest club in school with 50 members.
@@ds2sofs yeah the tryouts were postponed because of the rain and when we did try there were like 90 kids there and most of them were a year or 2 older than me and i am very short so i didn’t make it
Important question. The flags are positioned at a body part where you can unintentionally touch your opponent in an area that is difficult. And since genders are mixed, isn't it easy that a misinterpretation occurs? How do coaches, players and everybody involved handle this? You obviously don't wanna be called out for inappropriate physical contact even though you didn't do it intentionally or vice versa, you don't wanna be touched by your opponent who uses the excuse of an unintentional incident.
Welcome to the future of Pro Football, why do you think they are pushing flag football for Olympics etc? The new NFL rules like the hip drop tackle....
In American i think that would fall under title 9 . If they don't have a girls/boys team then you can try out for the only team even if it's mostly boys/girls
This video is not about how to play flag football. It's just about playing football in general. You NEVER tuck the ball in flag football for 2 reasons. One You always hold it out in front of you because there are no fumbles in flag football. Two if you tuck it, there is a good chance you will flag guard doing that. The QB also dies not have time to take a drop. By the time he's at the end of his drop, his flag will be pulled. This is not real flag football because the correct rules and flags are not being used.

Same. Spring of 2023 it's on. Although I have watched NFL most of my life, it's way different as a coach.

I mean by signing up for the sport, you assume a certain amount of risk, but for the most part it’s blatantly obvious if it’s
Intentional or not
