Make links for off family links to Schitts Creek, and Kim's Convenience. Like a Marvel, D.C. event. It would be a great joke, even if its a tiny thing, also I don't want money for this idea, I just want to see it happen. Lol, legal crqp...like my idea is any good.
Being an American, but being from Minnesota meant I didn’t find Corner Gas for years after it was over. But I have to say it’s way top notch in every aspect. Acting writing timing is superb. I especially relate to Oscar, being a grumpy septuagenarian. I even call my wife Emma on occasion. Brent, keep her alive! We will. Thank you.
I live in Kentucky USA. I wish I could have seen this show back when it started . It is such a great show it captures the small town feel. I live in a town called Burnside in the state of Kentucky. It is a small town and I loved growing up here . I watch this show and it makes me want to move to dog river . Great show great actors .
Brent Butt and his team have done a lot in an imaginary town where not a lot goes on...and the song says it all...."there is not alot going on...." and the sense of humour in this comedy show just seem to tickle my heart. It make me happy. Thank you ladies and gentlemen.
The humble-innocent simplicity Hank contributes to this imaginary town is admirable. A good hat must be worn proudly, even if it's not a bad hair day. River Dogs from Dog River....wow. -Brent and Lacey are pair of kind souls whom I really admire...and the whole crew brings the best out of this wonderful and imaginary town of Dog River. Thank you all...
Dog Rivers most hectic days... seem peaceful and serene... favorite episode??? the softball episode...or the one where they scrounge under the deck for treasure... or Hanks good hair day... kudos to the folks who brought forth the undercover nature of Corner Gas humor... Also.. the dude who played the grumpy old man... dude rocked it... should have got best actor ever award... if he was acting, not sure...
Dog River may be an imaginary town but this community is very lovely and inspiring. A town where police officers sleep in their cars while on duty because there is nothing to do...what an imaginary town, eh? -Oscar Leroy and his "Jack Ass" words make me laugh. -I watch this great show on weekend mornings and it makes me so happy when I see humans interact peacefully...
Well I lived in a small town in Ontario and we had no police they were in a town about 30 minutes away because there is not enough crime on a day to day basis to have them there was only about 1200 in the community and pretty well behaved or we police ourselves we don't call the cops you step out of line you have to deal with the neighborhood boys.
I legit only have Crave solely for Corner Gas. I start season 1 and watch all the way to the end of Season 6 whenever I go to bed. Then I restart when I get to the end. I love the show and all the characters! It's so mellow and chill!
I remember seeing the trailer when I was a kid, never watched it. I knew it was a Canadian show and after years, and I grew up. This is arguably one of my favourite shows
From Brazil I can say that I love Corner Gas. I have never seen something so good, so funny, so well written. I wanna see the place when i get the chance to travel to Canada. I'd loved to see special guests on the show, like; Terry crews or Jim Carrey because I thing those guys are very funny too and could fit the show for one episode. JIM CARREY would be perfect because he is from Canada.
I adore this show! I actually let my kids watch almost every show, not the cartoon, but we have watched almost every episode at least 3 to 5 times! My kids dance to the intro! We are in California! I cannot honestly say I have a favorite caricature! I compare your show to Andy Griffith, Seinfeld & Friends BUT BETTER! I get sad when I watch the last episode... P.s. I could tell it was King of the Hill~ish! You are my go to show when I couldn*t sleep at night and got me through some lonely and restless nights! The intro song makes me FeeL so much happiness! I would never care if I never met anyone famous, but I think I would freak a bit if I met any of you, and my kids too! You are our home away from home...
Having grown up in a little town, I highly value this series. Too often, smaller communities are portrayed as something a character longs to escape; whereas this show celebrates small town life.
I’m an American and I love this Show I watch it everyday I mean it everyday 7 days a week because TV sucks here Anymore I’m sick of it if I wasn’t so Old well 55 I’d move there O how I they would come back they could Do It
From Barbados and only discovered this sbow after it ended. Actually I watched the animated show first lol, didn't realise it was a continuation until I was scrolling through the Prime app. Love it!
I can't afford Crave this month, so I'm watching all your RUclips stuff, until I can continuously binge watch my favorite show again. I love all you guys! Thanks for all the laughs.
They were insane to tear down the set instead of letting locals take ownership and restore it. Even just keeping the outside shells would have been fine. This was making money for the town. Also, why not at least save all the signs??? Not saving anything was very odd.
went to DR last weekend and the Police station is crumbling on the outside wall it was bought by someone 1.5 years ago and they left due to structural is not safe apparently . someone needs to step in and take whats left and hv it commermerised i know the places have been plackered from CG and FIXED and for tourists and fix the Howler also... was GR8 to see all the stuff and meet a few ppl 😃 .
Brett talks about it in another video somewhere, that the Ruby & Gas Station sets were built in a place where buildings do not belong, in a bowl that becomes a swamp, and the 'buildings' become a public hazard eventually and shouldn't remain there.
@@runrig97 Just keeping the signs and outside shells would have been fine. This building made plenty of money for the town. They at least could have saved all the signs and cut out some better features to preserve. They could have also had an auction. Destroying it made no sense.
Greetings from Germany! I love Corner Gas and wish I could have discovered the show years ago. I would have certainly visited Rouleau to see the set, but unfortunately, it's all gone now, even the iconic grain elevator and police station.
1. My Neighbor owns the Corner Gas cop car...yup, I've driven it. 2. Met Brent Butt in Surrey BC at a golf tourney (I worked at the course). Whoever invited him put Brett down as his name. Every year (4 times that I know of) he showed up, Brett Butt was the name on the registration form. That's the hazard of being a Canadian celebrity. 3. Met Fred Ewaniuk at the same golf course but different tourney, very friendly, talked for 5 minutes. 4. Thanks for a funny, awesome and great iconic Canadian tv show.
Hey. I don't mean this in a rude way... Who is this lady who opened up the restaurant and keeps showing up in the interviews...??? She had to order a lot of pastries I see and did it by calling a second baker...!!! Just wondering if she has any significance to the show or just a over the top awesome fan... If this sounds rude trust me that's not my intentions... She seems wonderful and really dedicated. Going further then a regular fan or employee... I also love the stories how some people come together and met each other cuz of this show or even moved their. It really is my kind of place to live. Just quiet. I miss the old days in Winnipeg where the stores were closed on Sundays and people actually did things together. Especially those families with little ones. The beach or mini golf or go-cart just go camping or to Assiniboine Park to have a cookout by the fire. It was quiet and the only sounds were the laughter of the children and your dad burning the hell out of his hand starting the fire for that family cookout while his brother and sister and mother all pulled up at the park to have a good laugh. Even fun when you were just on your picnic table in the backyard with the extended family also and dad gave you your first beer even though you swore you'd never drink cuz of the weekend prior you had your first sip and thought it was gross... Man O'man... Something different when it's your own and not just having a sip of someone else's... It just tasted better when it was yours. That being said... I've gone off topic. This show will do that to you. It's the calmness if the small town and the humor that comes with it while being all nice. Don't need a big NHL team in your city to enjoy hockey... They can drive to next province to do that... I like how they can just drive to another place and enjoy whatever the festivities are or may be and then drive home leaving that all behind and coming back to where it's all cleaner... Even the air... Then night skies and sunsets... Cities are just to noisey dirty and hurtful. It's nice that they have cabs and buses to get around if your car break's down. But in the small town... I'm ok with walking. I'd just love it. Wow... A smell or a site or a particular word and you can just fall back into a memory and be taken back and stuck there for a moment. When that happens.... Well it happens to all of us at times. And that's when true poetry comes into play.
I love Corner Gas, both the tv show and the movie. The woman that plays Alice the librarian (June Mayhew?) is a doppelganger of a lady I work with both in looks, dress, facial expressions and gestures. It's uncanny. Once I noticed it I began to realize how often that character is included somewhere in the background of many, many scenes. I suspect it will soon become a drinking game amoung our group of friends.
So, when you have tourists from a city head to the New England countryside to see the leafs on the trees change colors, they're called "Leafers". When tourists go to the set of Dog River, are they considered "Gassers"?
love the show very much. Brent and co obviously had managed to combine very good writing plus business awareness, which hasn`t happend with every show. They try every way to stay on top, at some point after years this might become a little annoying and desperate. That`s life on this planet.
Wow it was so popular in the early 2000's then by 2022 the whole gas station and cafe were demolished because of foundation problems, the Foo Mart burned down, and something else happened to the police station, so there basically nothing left of Dog River, sad!!
Where can I find this series on dvd? I tried to buy it it from 3 different places and all sets were defective. Would like to have this series for my collection.
I've been to Rouleau aka Dog River on Google Earth Maps Street View several times to see what it had in it and there are a lot of people living there a few businesses still in business and others not but still a great place and a town everyone wants to live in or at least close to.
All I can say we had the best TV show in America and it's just like you Canadians to take it away!!! Jackasses!!! (Seriously, it is the funniest show on TV, even if it's reruns!)
A show similar to Corner Gas has not been made yet. I'm not sure it's even possible. However, I have been watching another Canadian show "Puppets Who Kill", which is available on YT.
Must say I don’t care for hearing the word “jackass” it’s really not a nice word to be saying so much. Plus I don’t care for the (spitting) when they say “Wullerton. That’s gross! My opinion.

Everything about this show makes me smile...even all these years later.
I stumbled across Corner Gas one day watched a episode and was hooked .......................it is one of a kind .
I'm American and I love Corner Gas and MR. D. Thanks Canada for these comedy classics.
Those are 2 greats but don't forget the red green show. Adventures with Bill is actually so funny it's almost better without sound!

Oh how I wish this were still in production!!!

My favourite comedy show, got into this show 7 years after it first aired then bit by bit I got hooked on it and the characters

The lady that played Emma, Oscar’s wife died a couple of years ago. It would not be quite the same without her.
Thanks Dog River! We love you.
He threw away the mice, not realizing those wireless ones need batteries. Lmao

Great documentary for all the CG fans. I love the sound of the singing prairie leopard frogs at 4:49. Music to my ears!
Such a great show. I’ve been watching a lot of episodes and they never fail to make me laugh!
Hopefully you watched all of them!
I love this funny show.
One of the best Canadian shows, along with the Beachcombers.

Corner Gas will always be my all time favorite
Wow nostalgia, I don’t think the corner gas website has a chat room anymore haha
Hope they can bring it back so I can find a husband :P
Found corner gas on a streaming service. Excellent show!

Now this is rather interesting to see this video showing this in real time. So to speak.
Heck, I’d like to have been there myself! This is incredibly awesome!
I remember playing that game online. I gave up pretty quickly.
I gave it up for good after winning the first season, lol , P.S. I'm still in the Cornergas house.- Bob, the Land Baron of Saskatchewan

Pun intended.
I didn't really expect to accept the prize either, it was all in fun as intended by all parties, but i had just retired from the rat-race and felt it could be fun (in the Butt) to rebuild the house. If i didn't find it fun, i could always leave and go elsewhere. I'm still in the house.
