The thing that annoys me the most is their complete lack of urgency. I don't want to call it 'laziness'... it's more like 'self-deception'. They seem to think they have all the time in the world to fix this game, and, in the meantime, they can waste precious hours on the most menial, useless things (like the dry rub, or the lore dumps, or the ridiculous levels of research into the 'authenticity' of particular character designs).
They do not have the luxury of being so lackadaisical; time is not on their side. It's the primary reason for this game failing as quickly as it has, but they seem incapable of grasping this, and improving the speed of their workflow, so nothing will change.
That's the point I'm trying to get across to everyone and the Devs really. But you know then there's the people who say "ah they're cooking" "give them time" it's like they don't pay attention to how long we've been waiting for content and fixes.
Fixes btw for bugs and problems in the game thats plagued it since day one. Definitely a lack of urgency to balance the game and give players confidence in them to return or keep playing it!
They were on holiday twice before Christmas break as well. 2 weeks in October and holiday in November for Thanksgiving.

Toxic positivity is a real thing. Defending a game unconditionally for the sake of being “positive” makes it worse for the game in the long run.
I hate how critiquing a game means you’re a hater or just a toxic troll. Some people just don’t take BS from devs.
You're 100% correct. People blaming the playerbase etc for the demise of this game when it wasn't us who removed PC crossplay in the early days of the game, which really was the beginning of the game losing its players.
Lack of urgency from the Devs to fix their game is what's the problem.

Spot on Chris! Way too little way too late! As a mega TCM fan for over 35 years. That lives in central Texas and met the surviving cast several times. I’m not spending a dime on any of their made up bullshit characters. They are so stupid. I would pay $15 for characters from the movie. Sally, Jerry, Kirk and Pam. Huge miss to not include them. No one cares about their playlist or lore. For f*cks sake! They are so pretentious and “can do no wrong” in their own eyes. Wes trying to throw shade in the stream was ridiculous. They have had their pants pulled down and trying frantically to get them pulled back up and it isn’t happening. Bring on killer klownz. I’ve gone back to evil dead and prestiging my other characters
Nice to see a dedicated fan is feeling the same way as someone like me who is new to the franchise and seeing the same problems with the game.
With the characters from the movie they did a good job. But they're original characters aren't even close to being as interesting as the ones from the movie too...they should of been prepared to bring in some well known characters to the game as well

@@michaelarojas have to disagree, a demin shirt does not make him Kirk, their builds are different in forms of stature, also, William Vail the actor who played Kirk is alive and well. I have met him on two occasions. Gun is far too cheap to want to pay for likeness rights. I spoke with Ed Neal and he told me the story of how they didn’t even know the actor that played the hitchhiker was alive. So they ended up flying him out to California record his voice lines.. Not here to argue. Just to state facts. True fans of the IP don’t want a dumbed down version of their fav characters they want to play the actual named and likenesses from the film. Also those actors that are still alive have been getting screwed for 50 years and as Allen Danziger told me in Austin two months ago. While we discussed the game. “They screwed us 50 yrs ago. And now we are getting screwed again. These people deserve to be celebrated forever in a digital form. Where is the truck driver from the end of the movie… (and please don’t lean on the tired lore or “three months before the film” that just painted them into a corner they can now not get out of. I want to love this game, but I just can’t. And some people love it. And that’s ok too. After the stream this week I have graciously bowed out of the Reddit. And will be uninstalling like Pixelz. Until they give me a reason to come back. I realize a hyper fan like myself may not be their target audience. But we have income to spend on characters that appeared in the film. I would pay $20 for a chop top, but by the time they finish the modeling from Bill Mosley’s mo cap session. It’s going to be far too late for me. Anyway. Good healthy discussion and I wish you best of luck with hanging in there to support. This is strike two for Gun, for me.. so killer klownz it will be. TBH if we are talking true scary horror games, I’m ready for the non Asym for Barbarian that is in the works. The devs are scumbags. Did you know they were sued by their previous partners? I can’t remember who, but another company they partnered with sued them and won. Then they got sued again for Friday the 13th. And a sumo worker said on Twitter that they’re planning on suing them as well. They’ve told sumo that the lobbies are fine, and they won’t be paying them to change them. They’ve also demanded they break things every patch and are already onto their next game. This is all a cash grap. Matt calling Damien Maffei, “dove”. Made it even clearer. Those jackasses don’t even know the names of the people who played their characters

Incorrect, Gun was not sued there was a legal issue between the owners of the franchise itself which involved Sean Cunningham (director of the first film), the game was released between that and was settled, which is why the game was pulled, but the developers were stuck in the middle they were not sued

They’ve tried getting in contact with Bill Mosely and Kim Henkel for the rights to tcm2, and they’re dodging their calls. They’ve been warned to stay away from gun. You’re so unbelievably misinformed. Don’t worry, though. News is gonna drop on this soon
Gun has also been denied the rights to Halloween and The Crow. They’re literally blacklisted, and are being sued for the THIRD time

I really don't understand why people are like that though. I get it, I'm a fan of the game too and new content sounds nice but realistically we're going to be left in the same spot when we eventually get these new characters.. purchasable skins and free skins aren't enough to keep people playing a game honestly. Needs a grind.
@ItzPixel People are way too quick to give them credit for the bare minimum. Probably the parasocial relationship Gun tries to create. The biggest things plaguing this game's longevity are the lobby issue, P2W characters, and no earnable currency/prestige/SOMETHING to grind.
People act like skins will save it, idk why man. It's stupid and shortsighted. I love the gameplay loop. It's fun. But this false stroking of egos just for the sake of it is wrong. Too little, way too late.
Edit: the currency was PROMISED. Haven't said anything since it was mentioned months ago.
I feel like they tried to put out a small roadmap to let ppl know stuff is coming . They have a decent amount of cool stuff coming . I’m not sure what more you could want besides something more to grind for . That’s their biggest mistake . They also should hand had more maps to start with. If wasn’t nearly enough but they are trying
Yeah i'm sure the content will be decent and I said the map looks cool. Just don't want my reason to play to be just level up new characters all the time when i'm maxed out already.
The only thing I could possibly be excited for at this point is if they added Wes as a victim dressed as a "homie" so I can purposely run up to Leatherface to get sawed in half!

TCM is honestly following a similar path to Saber/Evil Dead. Waiting 3 months at a time for content is NOT a good precedent for the future. Also, Wes blocking people asking for bikini skins is just so cringe to me. 😂

First of all, on the victim side, I think they did a good job in this regard, as Bomb Squad and Choose fight perk were finally nerfed and LeatherFace rework But while this might make some Main Victims angry and upset, it was really meta perks u know And also, whenever we did 1v1 with the killer and other killers interfered with the situation, it was a stupid thing to do a one-shot dead and they finally dealt with this situation well. On the killer side, you know there are a lot of useless perks and I hope one day they will be reworked . I don't think the game will increase the number of players again and return to its original days because it seems like it lost this chance at an early stage.. Tnx for the video my man I appreciate ❤❤
Very true. I'm not bothered about nerfs to some perks that needed it. The meta wont change much, they said they like to try and shake the gameplay up a lot but when you're only reworking like 2 meta victim perks, not sure how that's going to do anything really. Most of the skilltrees are still going to be unused and perks won't ever see the light of day in peoples builds. We were promised a big perk change up with reworks and we're only talking about 4 or 5 here. The whole perk system needs overhauled so we can actually make builds.
As for the LF changes, they're great. But yeah I was hoping they'd have some confidence and soul to breath into this game at the start of this year and instead it's worse than the back end of last year.
And from those who play both, family is the problem because no one plays family and people don’t enjoy it, stressful. That’s why only 10% of players use family according to Gun on the TCM official X page. That’s why there’s lobby issues. No family, no Lobbies, no games, period. However all the victim only players can’t see that and are so against family that it’s killing the game. They have this mindset that victims are getting nerfed as if they were supposed to be op or balanced to be begin with, when they never were. Family was always suppose to be op and family sided, always. Lmao the community also needs to be held accountable by not playing the game how it was suppose to be and trying to be competitive but complain about nerfs. If you want a balanced game that’s actually competitive, play Tekken, all skill no luck, no cheese abilities or perks, 1v1 all skill. TCM needs to attract ppl to play family n make it fun to increase its playerbase and that will never happen not at this point and not with 90% of players hating on family. They want it easy, idk why cuz I also do play Tekken n non fun about easy wins like wow. This was my first a sim. But the community is crazy always goes down to victim vs family players instead of increase the games life
Those Dev‘s are Lazy as hell. Last update was around 12 December 23 … they don’t know what they doin.
The lack of urgency and lack of content has made the game become close to death. It hurts bc i love this game but theres so much that can be improved on and worked on but the devs are very "our way or the highway". The audience doesnt want to hear that.

I’ve been saying this for months they need to add a dc penalty and punish players for dodging lobbies and this is why I was hesitant to spend my money on this game because GUN/SUMO hasn’t been doing a good job at all like are u fr being devs of a game and you don’t play it like wow that’s just shocking atp idk what’s the future for this game I just hope they add a pass into this game I think that will be a good idea and also I’m level 99 and I have nothing to work anymore all my characters are all maxed level can they add a prestige system in this game Smfh………..

Can't believe they're nerfing choose flight. Hitchhiker will outrun the victims with scout and kill them with ease.
I dropped TCM so quick, it's sad because I was having loads of fun in the beginning. There's literally nothing to do, I didn't think the new content drops for this game would be longer than EvDTG. I just hate that these asym's like TCM don't take how the most successful asym (DbD) get players coming back to it constantly. It really sucks how it's always back to DbD again when one dies like always, there's so much room for competition but it never happens. The main problem with TCM and EvDTG was to have something to come back and earn while the players wait for new content, I don't understand why devs don't understand this especially seeing how competitive "live-service" games are. At least EvDTG has a prestige system to grind for, can't believe TCM has nothing. Even Dragon Ball: The Breakers, which isn't even a horror asym but an asym game nonethless, has been going on a little over a year now and each season it has a free battle pass to grind for cosmetics etc., a shop to buy old and new cosmetics, and even event's for special cosmetics. The game is still alive and kicking due to this (and about to add crossplay), when it started it was bare bones now it's doing great and each season we get a dev stream too. All of this stuff helps with the long waits for content. I'm glad one asym I genuinely enjoy (and can fight the "killer) is taking notes from DbD. Hope TCM gets there but it's looking pretty bleak.
The whole point of a horror base genre is to have the killer gain more power then the victims so the horror vibe would kicked in.
But that’s not important right now what’s important adding more cosmetics for the family.
All I know is if gun makes another game they’re not gonna have enough hype for it.
These devs are clearly not built to be professionals in an industry reliant on criticism. They take everything as a personal attack or something and refuse to face how poorly the future of this game is looking.
People want to talk about triple A companies being lazy but holy crap these devs are not only lazy but incompitent af. They're not going to do a battle pass because they want to sell their cosmetics at individual prices I guarantee that currency thing they mention won't even happen.
I can really see that currency thing happening when the game is going into year 2 and they announce no more new content. So all the first year content will be earnable that we paid money for.

Been a fan of yours since the beginning of Evil Dead the Game and I love that you’re not a content creator that just sucks the devs off and instead calls it like it is. The good and the bad. Keep doing you, my guy.
I'll praise them when they deserve it like I did in the early days, but the wheel came off, they started getting toxic to the playerbase, deleting posts from the fans offering fixes and ideas.

You remember when deva would go missing for months in evil dead and then when they came back all they did was nerf and take things away from the game leading to the game dying sooner than later....yep tcm doing it all over again 😆 oh yeah and so much for 9 months of content because they're already pushing dates back.
Yeah, Evil Dead devs weren't any better tbh. Maybe in the earlier stages they were, later on they sucked. Same thing happening to this game already.

@@ItzPixel at this rate I'd rather be slammed with content for a solid 3 months then for one month they just work on patches etc because atm we don't have much to do at 99 and platinum.
we haven't had a big patch since Late November when Danny dropped. We got one hotfix in December too and to think we went from patches every week. To these patches that aren't even much better than the weekly ones...when the whole purpose of waiting for the bigger patches was for them to make big changes. This next one doesn't sound too good and still a long ways away.

The grappling nerf is really bad in my opinion. There’s a lot of grappling perks that make victims powerful (just look at content creators making grappling builds that include long stun time, recovery for Hp and stamina) if you get killed for grappling it’s your fault for activating it, family can’t grapple. Bottom line grappling abuse prevents reckless gameplay.
Anyways yah the lack of urgency is depressing. I really like this game because of its uniqueness but the devs are dropping the ball.
At this point, I just wait until Killer Klown game to be drop and also going to be playing Suicide Squad while just checking the news every now and then to see if TCM gotten any better.

Don't really think the dodging is the main issue with lobbies. It's the damn lobby but itself. If they'd fix that then the lobby would fill up way more consistently.

I don't hate the game, but the devs around it and community is just a confusing mess.
Unlike so many other "Company Men" channels who all posted the same "title" btw 🤔 and gushed over getting a few bread crumbs being thrown to them, you've stood out as the one true channel out there who is telling the truth about what Gun gave us without sugar coating it or kissing their behind. Keep it up 👍
It's a dangerous game being yourself and expressing concerns about a game like the way I do. But I don't like being fake for the sake of looking good and positive to anyone. It's true, actual bread crumbs thrown at the players and they're happy about it. Weird to me

This is why I left the game, no urgency from the Devs, leaving the game in a bad spot for months and 0 enthusiasm or respect to their playerbase and fans. Not worth my time anymore!

Evil dead kept us happy every few months but were always radio silent with what they were doing Texas seems to communicate better but takes even longer to get stuff done/out not sure which sucks more but ehhh with you on the asym drying out….even killer klowns is being like George RR Martin in South Park with teases “Oh It’s Coming Game is on the Way”
ED was definitely worst but I think Asym games in general struggle with keeping up when it comes to content and fixes

I understand and once again agree with a lot of what you say But I'm sure sad that you won't be streaming the game, even though the game needs work I still think there's fun to be had and funny and cool memories to be made. I always enjoy watching you play . Like I said before your a Evil Dead Super fan so now that you got past the hurt of what the devs did with ED, your able to step back and just enjoy the game for what it is. An attitude I wish you could have with TCM. Basically as with ED it is what it is.But I understand the way you feel Sure the game needs work , but many games do now a days. It's not like the old days, where when you bought a game it was a finished product. Well that's all I have to say. Excuse me but I have to go rub my knee for a while. Lol
Trust me, I would have that attitude with TCM if they actually added some good content to it and the game weren't so short. I could accept it for what it offers then, because I enjoyed playing this game. Just EVERYTHING else around it, makes it suck.

Thanks for doing this for us man, I stopped playing TCM just before Balck Nancy and Danny... its too easy for both sides mostly victim depending on situation and I got bored fast. So its nice to hear I've missed nothing. Appreciate ya!

I 100% agree with you. When they were asked on reddit what the roadmap was 3-4 months ago they wouldn't answer and still to this day refuse to give us a roadmap for this game. That was a huge red flag to me and the writing was on the wall from there. On top of that they use the excuse that they were on break and have lives while simultaneously releasing double XP events on Christmas and the day after assuming we wouldn't be with our families and missed it completely. There is no roadmap for this game. They keep using the lore as an excuse and cop out to not release content or skins from other movies. I would kill to play as LF from the 03 movie because that's the one I grew up with and scared the piss out of me. Nope not lore accurate won't get the license for it. Want the OG characters? Nope too many licensing fees. Then in the same breath Leatherface can get bullied relentlessly by people that are suppose to be VICTIMS. How is that lore appropriate or accurate? Victims don't fear LF. That's a big problem. He's not this unstoppable force of nature that inspires trepidation and absolute horror. Then they secretly Shadow nerf him and act like it's a UI issue or bug. They're in it for the dollars. Through and through they advertise the game, they make stupid meat flavorings and merch it's all about that licensing money. This is definitely my last gun game. Won't touch anything they have their name on. At this stage in the game I'm apathetic. I wanted this game to succeed. I got people on board to play it and every decision they've made has been dropping the ball. It's clear they don't care nor play test their own game. So I've given up. The game has overstayed its welcome on my console as far as I'm concerned. When your player base is offering criticism or constantly out lashing is it appropriate? No but it's not like it doesn't come from a place of passion albeit I don't condone threats or violence. When your player numbers drop and there's silence you should worry. That's where we're at. The excitement is over. I just feel apathy now. Only thing I disagree with is the leave penalties. I'm not gonna play with a P2W character that can escape in a minute before I can even mount a defense nor am I playing in conditions that make me miserable or roll my eyes playing a role that's already stressful and no one wants to play. Nah I'm playing on my terms. They institute leave penalties it's an instant uninstall.

It feels like they're using band-aids to fix a broken leg. Messing with small things like perks and grapples isn't going to bring family players back. They need to look at the gameplay for both sides and understand that playing victim simply has more to it. Give family more to do, more ways to counter unlocked gates and completed objectives so it's not just a security guard role once something is done. Plus, none of this will stop the rush mechanic nor will it help new players who struggle to play initially. Obviously we'll see what happens next update, but for now I'm reading negatives from both sides still.
I can tell you the problem right now with how this game is. The AP's on characters causes too many issues. You have a one dimensional perk meta and Family is too slow to gain any pressure with Grandpa. It's funny, they never shared a stat with how many people have escaped vs killed on this game. I'll always say i'm a victim main, but I played a lot of both sides. Can tell you that Victim 100% has been way too strong for too long.
People would say in my stream "wow you're really good at this game" as Victim. I'm like... not really, it's just easy with experience, you know how to cheese everything and play ratty because the family is easy to manipulate, distract and mess around.
@@ItzPixel For sure. Knowing the map. Knowing which family member spawns where. Knowing how long you have before they can reach you. It's all open to exploit and no update has ever addressed that. Victims spawn randomly in the basement and can move around way before family are truly active and in a position to be a threat (other than Bubba). Plus, once out and about, it's easy to distract the family. Just open one gate and go somewhere else. The family has no choice but to then patrol and search that entire area. Plus even if confirmed empty, they then need to always stay near that opened gate.
Some simple fixes of same start time as victims and random spawn locations would help (apart from Bubba). Then the ability to relock gates and doors (with similar minigame and limited to two bars first time, then one the next, rather than the full three). Removing fuses and valve handles once used too. Currently all it takes is one victim member to do an objective and it's done forever for everyone. By giving the family these counters it would slow down the rushing and make for a more longer lasting game and may bring family players back with more to do. I doubt very much any of that will happen though and instead we'll get more nerfs to fan favorite perks.

Gun. doesn't care about a prestige system. They don't want to be competitive with other asymmetrical games, they said that. They clearly only cater to the hardcore TCM fans, especially the people who love the 1974 movie. BUT.. There's plenty of other games out there.

No you’re right, I misread thought you were implying that Gun didn’t want to make TCM competitive like other asymmetrical games, phasing in a way that made it seem negative to you, implying you think asymmetric games are even competitive. That's not true though. Because i've done plenty of positive videos on the game in the past as well, people just don't seem to pay attention to that. Lately, there's been nothing positive. Still isn't. Which only leaves negatives...what else am I supposed to do? I use to really enjoy playing this game they made too many changes and has completely killed my interest in it anymore. It’s ashame considering how good the film really is. I mainly play Fortnite now.

Too bad Friday is leaving😢 because I enjoyed playing that game better. I even love playing Evil Dead much more! In my opinion; if they fix the glitches, take away the family being able to kill the victim when that victim is in recovery mode, and maybe let the victims have weapons to use to fight back, Or take the family's perk that increases grandpa's sense quicker. Then I think that this game will go much further!

Here is the thing, most streamers don't get is the behind the scenes of what it takes to create content for a game and the gaming industry in general. GUN is a super small gaming studio, outside of a few IP's that's all they have they are not able to funnel in and cut corners like other larger studios to appease everyone - it's just not possible you have to pay everyone who goes in and makes the content and while most other gaming studios are laying off their dev teams GUN is one of the few working to try to keep their team together despite the massive layoffs in the industry. If you knew the backend of things (I worked for EA for 9 years), you would understand why we SHOULD be supporting these smaller gaming studios and not the larger ones. Just a shame to hear people shitting on the game when the dev's continue to give you all you want and literally took the holidays off after non stop working on this game for over 2 years.
I mean Gun only has 12 people anyways. But no doubt in my mind they made a lot of money on this game. Haven't seen a reinvestment to the support from the players. In fact they're going backwards.

Honestly me and the homie haven't even been playing tcm, been playing through balders gate 3 and dead island 2 at the moment. Me personally, i have no desire to come back to the game right now. Only thing to make me come back to it is adding chop top/stretch and a amusement park esq map. And idk if we will even get the sequels for dlc.

I think it's time to move on from these asym games and look forward to what's coming out throughout the year, I've went back to dbd playing as killer I am enjoying it, playing as chucky is really fun but I'm only playing it until new games come out, I have also been playing the finals with my mates and that game is fun aswell. I've uninstall tcm as I know I won't go back to it.

What pushed me away from this game was how awful the devs acted, anyone who remotely critiqued the game was met with childish behaviour. The overpriced characters, in my experience I was met with people who just hated dead by daylight and I would get shit from making comparisons. I know that's not the entire community, but it soured my experienced none the less. Honestly it's a purchase I regret, its sad but at the same time it's all on them anyways.
I'm glad I just played this on Gamepass. Everything was way too overpriced, the Devs we're doing okay at the start but then just started deleting helpful posts and trash talking their players. Plus they even admitted they don't play the game or understand some of the obvious bugs and balance.
Then they just have no urgency to try and redeem the game.
