- I've put a lot of time in this new update in TCM since it dropped earlier this week and think it's worth talking about how Hands, Maria and The Skill Tree Rework has adjusted the games balance and it's issues!

Fam is a bit strong now. True. However, victims can still get all exits with teamwork, awareness of Hands positioning,and choose fight.

You know a character is OP when the content creators and people who love the game say a character is OP. I don’t hear too many family mains, who did nothing but bitch and moan about Danny, saying shit about Hands. There needs to be a balance between the two characters and I hope a Hands nerf is coming. Danny’s power is useless, and that’s what the family mains wanted. Something needs to be done. Also, ChopTop and anything from TCM2 will bring this game back for sure!
I found the best way to deal with hands is to have all 4 survivors work on all the different exits at once. If one person is on the valve , one person is working on unlocking gen gates, the other is working on battery gates and the last one is working on fuse eventually ONE of those things are gonna open . I do feel like you have a better chance of escape if you have a Leland and Ana without those two tanks idk dude

Hands needs a huge long cooldown on ripping objectives out and his traps shouldn’t be able to stack on top of cooks padlocks because something I’ve found incredibly frustrating is playing family house and there’s a hitchhiker, cook and hands
If ChopTop is the next family member this will be my fav game

Game is crazy Family sided now it's insane. Hands pretty much makes people aware that camping is super effective and has little to no counter-play. It's also boring as hell for both sides.

I’m really annoyed with Maria to be honest she is sooo easy to counter and her perks are mostly final girl themed like “if you are the last person you get x and x boost” and its like okay? lmao, and the “oh we have a maria lets watch grandpa” loop is irritating plus they can literally stand still to not get scanned it’s all embarrassing for the “definitive final girl” when her sister is much better

@@brachialtick6539 exactly family stand still that means victims can keep moving & unlocking stuff & if u have radar detecor even if they stand still they still get highlighted 🤣 people just complain but dont even completely understand how to play the game

I've really been enjoying this update on the family side but the victim side of things has been kind of rough, it's made danny harder to play due to hands being able to shut down anything you tamper, overall though it's been a really fun time with friends
A part of me want to try the game, but i bet there is still issues with perks
1) perks don't light up or show it being activated
2) perks that have a timer have the ability active during a locked activation thus losing potential a 3rd of its duration.
3)perks having confusing measurements for distance, one saying meters, while another perk will say centimeters just inconsistent lables.

After I reached Lvl 100 maxed all characters to Lvl 10 and got every achievement I dropped the game bcuz it just wasn’t as fun and there’s no incentive to keep playing like how DBD has ranks to play for and bragging rights.
However the one game that didn’t have ranked but I got my main character to Prestige 5 and got every other character to max level was Evil Dead. That game was so fun and I would spend hours just playing matches having fun and laughs and rage moments but just wish the devs didn’t let that game die and not give us more content and etc to see that game stay as relevant as DBD. Evil Dead is still the best asymmetrical game that I have played and I spent many years playing DBD until Evil Dead came out.

To pretend that every Hands player is a highly skilled one is funny.
Yes some characters can be OP in asymmetrical games but the players skill is certainly not created equal & of course everyone is speaking on perspective.
I played my fair share of games since the update & I’m escaping around 50% of the time. I’m ok with that.
Also if you’re not using voice comms (this has been talked about since the games launch), it’s just going to make things harder whether anyone believes it or not.
Forgot to also mention Sonny skill tree is horrible, he’s missing perks on his skill tree
Theres a bug where i cant buy perks on the skill tree. Tells me theres a server error and its so fucking annoying

you can easily counter him by playing together with your teammates. for example leland can just grapple him while the others do objectives or just target different objectives since his ability has a cd

Hands has slowed the game down out of the previous rush meta which I love. Games feel more methodical and stealthy which i think is a ton of fun. I think Ripstall is the main issue in terms of balance. Maybe a longer cooldown after a use, have Saboteur delay Ripstall by an extra 10 seconds. Something like that. Not just nerf Hands into the ground. It's cool seeing you coming back and enjoying the game again Pixelz!!!. I've had a ton of fun with it lately. Gotta give Gun credit. This was a solid update and moved the game in a better direction. I've noticed more people playing Family and its helped cue times alot.❤
Totally agree & I think that was Gun’s thought process where Hands helps to slow down the meta & the survivors have to think & use stealth more. Playing the game as a team of 1 also doesn’t bold well either. So many people have critiques for the game & then you see them play with no voice comms being used.
Your spot on we do a need a quality of life changing next to polish this game such as the net code fix for the lobbies also a new map wouldn’t be to bad also what happened to Jesse is he alive or dead with that story. But polishing the lobby system would be huge for this game also theme packs skins would be nice. But this update definitely helped the game with more positive than negative.

Ive been finding matches solo as victim no problem. Never waited more than 2 mins for a lobby to fill after someone leaves either.

Disappointed tbh. I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be a third person survival horror game when they first announced it. Not a big fan of first person stuff, was hoping for a last of us style

I only just started playing the game about three weeks ago and these videos have been SO helpful! Anybody have any good recommendations for new players? I’ve mainly been playing Julie and prioritizing stealth since I’m still trying to figure out all the game mechanics and learn the maps.
If you want to learn the maps faster, I highly recommend playing Family. Especially Leatherface if you want to learn the basement layout faster. I learned the basements really quick with Leatherface, where the toolboxes, doors and wall gaps to use on the Victim side

Change the fuse box back to how it was it’s not fair change Maria ability it’s useless honestly. She plays like she should’ve been introduced at the very beginning when the game first came out in my opinion

I think hands is fair and Maria is fine not too crazy but fine. I havent had any issues. As long as they keep supporting the game thats all i care about. Hopefully we can get a new map next.
I agree with a lot of what your talking about throughout the video until you got to your opinion on Sonny. If anyone considers putting all tank abilities and attributes on him you are just playing the wrong victim. He's not designed to be a tank...there are different victims designed for that playstyle. I can see maybe 1 ability slot used to increase survivability but anything more then that your playing him wrong IMO. He's by far the most stealth victim so he should be built around that.
i mean that was my point about Sonny, his skill tree is terrible and doesn't fit him at all. On top of that Stealth gameplay in this game is a lot of slow gameplay with almost no benefit, meaning you could play stealthy, sneak around to an objective or gate and get spotted instantly or the chickens will detect you even if you are stealthy, also means if you're spotted you're pretty much dead since every family member runs high damage builds.
Which makes him have almost no benefit to play compared to other victims in the game who will even do the stealth play better than him. I.e Julie and Connie.

They nerfed the pay to win victims we paid for by removing good perk combos too like one or too and gave hands some broken combos

For me, the game is more survivor sided with this patch unless you have a team with mics. A lot of games survivors get out simply because sticking together, grappling a shit ton and rushing. Hands is definitely balanced in his own way because even though he has good traps, he is slow and his traps can be disabled. Idk about Maria because i haven’t played her yet.

Game is not survivor sided. Toughness is useless. Even when you have 50 you can get killed by Johnny in just 4 hits. Stealth is still irrelevant and some victim have had some perks changed, completely nerfing them. You add that with the current family meta which is building full savagery and victims can't even tank damage. About Hands being balanced, he's really not. He literally has LF ability to break stuff, Nancy and Hitch traps, can disable Danny's tamper completely (with little to 0 cooldown) and has Leland's barge. "He is slow and his traps can be disabled" yeah fortunately for victims, they have to face at least 2 killers with traps each game. If you're not getting kills that's a skill issue, sorry.
@@franck5599 his breaking barriers is a perk, not ability, so that wastes one perk slot and his barge ability is trash because it doesn’t track like leland’s does, has incredibly short range and it drains stamina bar almost completely so definitely more balanced than you make it out to be. If you played him, you would see that. Also, if you read the entire post, i didn’t say it was entirely survivor sided especially if your team actually has mics. However, when family doesn’t have mics, it is game over for them. As for survivors, you can’t sit here and say the grappling meta for survivors isn’t a bit ridiculous. This never happened this frequently at launch and over time has only gotten worse.

He’s 350 pounds, anyone that big isn’t gonna be able to run for a long at all. Way too much weight to carry around.
Guess you aint aware of his bug which makes stamina irellevent
The valve is still op if u play it right. I have a vid on my channel showing how to counter Hands with Danny. I feel like now Victims have to play characters as their role. So Danny is best on Fuse & Valve which is why he's the best character to play if you're going for fuse/valve unless u have saboteur

when it’s a 3v1 for 5+ minutes just for the person to die in the end is utterly boring and playing 20+ minute game for 4k xp yeah so worth my time

Yall act like those points mean anything. I play this game for fun so more gameplay time is better. If that bothers you, maybe play a fighting game whwre it’s fast rounds and actual skill n even losing helps you get better so it’s worth your time. But oh wait y’all want easy games
If you see Hands don’t use Danny. Same if you don’t see cook bring Connie. People have been talking about needing buffs and nerfs since it came out. It’s never ending.
Connie counters cooks padlocks opening a side of the map other victims wouldnt have time to do connie is always a good pick imo
