Those grandpas are great. Talking about random crap we would normally never care about, but we like it, because it’s grandpa.
I don’t have a grandpa not anymore
Creative Randomness Me neither. Lost my only grandpa left two months ago. My other one died in 2016.

Possible Fnaf spin-off ??? 🤔
Lander Vedua UCN is William Afton's purgatory, a never ending hell he must endure for eternity so it's the main storyline it's just what happened to afton after 6 cause I'm pretty sure me, you and all fnaf fans wanted to know what was gonna happen to him, and btw my personal fav is 3, the good ending was emotional and the music to go with it was spot on 👌

Honestly Mr Hippo sounds like a nice guy. He’s got that voice that just sounds like an old friend.

Excuse me for my stuttering, Inky.
Mr. Hippo was just Scott's excuse to roast Matpat in game
*Personally I think the "Telling a Story" Dialog really should talk some sense into him.*
Matpat constantly adds to the Pile that is Lore without even knowing perhaps there's a... well- limit.
He constantly talks about the Books, the Poster the Minigames without even having a good Timeline.
He doesn't even realize that the Books aren't even canon, nor hold any real Events in the Games.
They're hints, tiny pieces but when you take it so much from the Books into the Game it's a mess.
He theorizes about "Robot Humans", but how do we even know if the Books aren't a Part of the Game?
Some Pieces are best let to lay down and ignore, because they don't make sense and don't help the Lore.

Fuck me that was clever
personally i think that mr. hippo is a way for scott to talk with the community without directly saying anything directly. what i can grab from these "stories" is that the first game wasnt supposed to have a story but mainly to scare the audience. after many people went too deep than they were expected to go and they mainly drive the story now. after all, scott wasnt a well known game developer until he made the first game. he meant only to make his final game out of what people complained about in his earlier games.
thank you for your time
Fair.
I get your point. After hearing it again I could see what you're getting at.
I think I have a theory. Remember when Norvil said "what's the significance of the story" with a pause and then Mr hippo said " Norvil some stories don't have a significance" , he was talking about how we are so interested in the story of fnaf that there is no meaning for us to think of or learn in the game. This means we are listening to why Scott created the game.
Sorry I meant Orville not Norvil soz
I see what you mean..
Orville and Mr.Hippo are my favorite characters now.
I proceeded to have a cup of lemonade, I was gonna tell my friend Scott a story, but he asked, (im sorry xD)
Finally someone who thinks the way I do. I honestly believe the first FNAF was its own stand alone jumpscare game, but everyone just started reading into it far too much, only for Scott to ride along with what the fans were theorising.
And As Hippo says, ‘maybe it doesn’t mean anything, at all.’

@@sydneyblackmore5087 thats actually amazing lmao
At points I feel like Mr. Hippo is a self-insert by Scott reflecting on the growing mess of rambling, self-contradictory lore spaghetti that the franchise has become.
He started a story, not with the intention of providing any structure or resolution, just to express an idea. But his audience demands an explanation, theories, meaning where there is none. And he accommodates, lovingly filling in the blanks with anecdotes and aphorisms, loopholes and recursions, feeding them the sugary fluff they want even though it's devoid of nutrition and will probably give them indigestion.
He doesn't feel too bad about it: after all, there are other stories out there that are shorter, sharper, that hit hard and then end with a crushing finality, leaving you alone and wondering. They wouldn't be there if that was what they really wanted, would they? They crave breadcrumbs to follow, a maze to navigate, the lure of a destination without the hope of actually reaching it. Because where would that lead? Always the same place: a dark, poorly ventilated office stuffed with brightly coloured animal costumes.
So now he's stuck, retreading the same ground over and over just with slightly different pairs of feet. A humble servant waiting on eager ears, resigned to a craft made and appraised in a vacuum. Sometimes he himself wonders how he got here, maybe even worries that his efforts are ultimately meaningless, or that he's lost sight of who he was before he wound up here. But then he looks around at the misfits and admirers who've followed him in his travels and strangely, sees a family. A dysfunctional and distant family but one to be treasured nonetheless. Maybe he's too tired to be judgemental. Maybe there's some light and hope to be found even in a purgatory given the form of a declining family pizzeria. Maybe it's just nice to have someone to talk to. Either way, it's kind of nice like this.
So he'll continue his story, no matter how much his audience bemuses him, till the tone of the final hour brings the dawn.
Yes
It's Scott

"If you try to read into every little thing and find meaning in anything anyone says, you'll just drive yourself crazy"
That. That's my senior quote. Y'all have no idea how that line helped me.
Sometimes people say hi because they want to say hi, not because they have some secret, villainous agenda.
I imagine this guy was like, programmed to be a story teller and that’s where he gets his stories, but then again the idea of him and Orville actually going out and having picnics as animatronics is also pretty interesting to think about
Or maybe it doesn't mean anything at all.
Animatronica

*Sigh*, it seems that you have met a horrible demise my friend. But uh, you know, these...these things happen and...and life...life goes on. N-not for you, obviously, uh, you're dead, but uh, it reminds me of a time I was having a conversation with my friend Orville. We were, uh, where were we? We were by the...the river, we were sitting by the river and watching the fish leap over the falls and uh, I said to Orville 'You know, sometimes I feel like a fish leaping over and over again, always trying to get somewhere. Though, I don't know where only to find myself in the jaws of a beast.' He, of course, looked at me surprised, you know? 'Have you been in the jaws of a beast, friend?' To which I said, 'No, of course not Orville'. I said, 'No no no, I...I simply meant that life can seem like a relentless endeavor to overcome meaningless obstacles, only to meet an equally meaningless fate regardless of your efforts, regardless of the obstacles you passed. And, uh, Orville he...he stood and proceeded to drape me with a picnic cloth, to which I...I asked him, I said, 'Friend, what...what are ya doin?' He looked at me very concerned really. 'I feel like you've gotten too much sun'. Indeed, heh, indeed I had. He proceeded to pour me a glass of just...ice cold lemonade. Ooh, you ever mix it with iced tea? Ya do, like...half lemonade ha...ooh, you should try it so--well, you can't, because your dead, but, anyways, so you may be asking yourself, 'How did I go from sitting by the falls and drinking lemonade to being wedged in the air duct, not only with Orville, but with an entire assortment of fruity-colored friends?' Well, there's uh...there's really no good answer to that, but...perhaps I met a demise of my own at some point and...this is my afterlife or my dream or whatever it might mean, I...I honestly don't know. Or...maybe it doesn't mean anything at all. Maybe it doesn't mean anything at all...

this is why Mr.Hippo is amazing
I've actually had that before I've even heard of FNAF.
When Mr. Hippo mentioned it, I was like, _"Ohh, yeaaaahhhh..."_
I unironically love listening to these stories or ramblings. I truly find them interesting, but i am confused why other people dont like it or are annoyed by it. :/
I don't think people are annoyed by thoses generaly speaking
It's more than the context makes it particulary absurd: This huge purple hippo robot just massacred you, and right after that, he jumps to telling you his day in the park with his friend
The fact he is so casualy speaking about such trivial activieties as picnic in a park right after a crude act of pure violence creates a contraste which generates absurdity
That's this absurd contrast between a brutal murder and a cosy picnic that makes it funny. Mr.Hippo stories are unexpected in the context we hear them
Thay is what I think people find thoses funny. What they really find funny is the fact a giant hippo talks about a day in the park rambling about philosophy, right after brutally murdering you
Hope it helpes !
