We absolutely love Disney Springs AJ! A much-improved experience with a fun theme, the old town Disney Springs. In this recent video, by the way, we enjoy all your good work, I saw a Happy Hour sign. Yes, we are Happy Hour fans because purchasing appetizers and drinks at 1/2 price makes us happy!!!! So, please do a video on Happy hours at Disney Springs and, if any, at other locations in Disney World. We are annual pass members and DVC members, we visit often, enlisted many family members to join us but, all need to know the Happy Hour locations. Saving money while enjoying our happy Place makes us happier. Did I say that? Yes, bears repeating. Please help!
I just recently went to Disney Springs since it’s rebranding for the first time, last week. I was prepared to hate it but I ended up loving it! I think they did a nice job of creating smaller more intimate restaurant and lounge spaces alongside the larger restaurants. I do wish they had more outdoor seating but overall it is really lovely, especially at times when there aren’t as many crowds. I like that marketplace still has retained its original Disney flare and that each area has its own feel. Restaurant hopping in Disney Springs was the highlight of my whole trip!
My Fiance and I went to Disney World (Magic Kingdom and Epcot) this past weekend for my birthday and had an unbelievable time! Your videos and tips were so helpful. Went to brunch at Art Smith's on Sunday morning before leaving and it was amazing! Thanks for all the information on your channel..totally helped us maximize our time at Disney!
We just came back from a very fun (mature adults) trip.. we were there while this video was published; Stayed at Saratoga Springs, with large focus on Disney Springs. This was a game changer on my thoughts of Saratoga as a DVC option. Our biggest problem was trying to hit the big, must-do sit down spots, and not getting to try out the other quick service options either at the Landing or Town Center. There's a lot of food here.. you definitely have to be a local and come often to try it all!!
I love Disney Springs, but I really miss when it was Pleasure Island. My favourite was the Adventurers Club and they need to bring something like that back! It was always so much fun to go in there and listen to the cast members reliving their "glory days".
This is probably the only time I've slightly disagreed with AJ! My family went to WDW in early 2016 and had several great meals at Paradiso 37. I remember the blackened fish sliders as one of the highlights and we were able to eat outside on the side patio and had a great evening. Just my experience but they didn't have a lot of the newest restaurants open yet and we were not well-versed in WDW eats at the time lol Can't wait to go back!
We have to go to the Hangar Bar every time because my son loves the decor. Not that he knows much about Indiana Jones but he loves the antique looking items and the airplane things and especially the machine that makes the round ice cubes! And the staff were really nice about letting us in just to take a look. Me and my husband ended up having a drink there after too, just so we could wait and see that round ice cube be made (it makes around 1 every 20 minutes).
I remember eating at the Empress Lily back in the day! My siblings and I still have pennants signed by Mickey and Minnie that have the cartoon version of the paddleboat on them. So much fun!
We LOVE Homecommin'. The order of hummingbird cake I had was so big I was able to gorge on it for two days! I love their charcuterie appetizer--everything :) ETA: We have reservations for Morimoto Asia for new years eve, and I can't wait! "Only" 41/2 months to go lol. I'm counting down the days :)
I had lunch at morimoto Asia a few weeks ago and the food was absolutely delicious! However, I’m not sure I’ll go back very often because it was insanely expensive for the amount of food that was served!
Andrew Rhodes - I agree with you on that one, probably the most fun I ever had at " pleasure island"...they have been doing New Year's Eve shows with some of the cast, ( I think at the contemporary ) the past 2 or 3 years ?....they really need to find a location and bring it back.. KUNGALOOSH !
Would you go to Bongos Cuban Cafe or House of Blues with 2 under 8 year olds on a Wednesday night? 6.30approx or should be make a a separate res. for House of blues on the Fri/Sat and have the little ones enjoying pixar place? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
I love disney springs! All the food is amazing. My favorite is that cheese dip. so yummy! Would love it you could do a food tour at the beach club. Thanks :) love watching your videos.
I love what they have done with Disney Springs! I love the theming and back stories with just about everything! My favorite so far has been the house of blues restaurant. I have heard that the shrimp boat from Forrest Gump is at Disney Springs ( Boat House?) just wondering if I heard that right
AJ, I love your videos. I think it’s interesting that you mentioned something about Asian cultures not focusing on dessert. Chef Morimoto is Japanese, and I think that desserts are a huge part of their cuisine. But their restaurants are very specialized. So the restaurants with good entree type of items are not necessarily going to have good dessert items.
Paradiso 37 is our favorite restaurant! The appetizers are always amazing. Like you, we don’t love the entrees. Also, be wary of sitting next to the water. Swarming insects coming in all the windows. Strangely, it only bothered us!
I’m really excited to visit Disney Springs next September I’ve not been since 2013 when it was still Downtown Disney! I love the look of Homecomin’ and the Paddlefish rooftop bar! Also if you were to eat Italian where in Disney Springs would you eat or would it be best to go to Tatorria El Forno on Boardwalk or just go to the Italian Pavillion in Epcot?!
amandawatters33 like I LOVE Via Napoli as I worked out there when in opened and last went in 2013 but I’m sure it’s changed A LOT since then...maybe DFB can do a best to worst videos on Italian, Asian, American food?! Haha
I would try Il Mulino at the Dolphin if you are looking for pasta dishes and Via Napoli for pizza and apps. Il Mulino is technically on Disney property but not owned by Disney. The food is astounding and not too hard to get a reservation. You can also walk to it from inside Epcot.
Denise Goldstein you know Swan and Dolphin never even entered my head for places to eat but will do some research! I remember going to Kimonos in there on my Cultural Rep programme and enjoyed it...will definitely make a trip to the resort and see what they have to offer!
Our family went to Morimoto's for the first time 2 months ago. When we went in, we were really impressed with it - it's really lovely. But our experience went downhill from there. Maybe we just hit it on an off day or something, I don't know, but we came away thinking we'd paid a lot of money for so-so food. We ordered sushi which was standard/good, but we had the Peking duck which wasn't the best. One in our group has been to China and had the duck there and really liked it so she was really looking forward to having it again, but it wasn't nearly as tasty - I hadn't had it before so I was excited to try it but I found it disappointing. Perhaps I was just expecting too much, but it didn't have much flavor. Maybe we just had a bird that wasn't the greatest, I don't know. We ordered several other items but the only ones we thought were really good were the Dim Sum. Even the ladies bathroom wasn't clean. Again, maybe we just hit it on an off day. Maybe we'll try it again, but it won't be a place we'll head to with any sort of excitement, which is sad. -- I think you get a much better meal at Monsieur Paul's in Epcot.
Putting in a request. Could you please do a video for people who can’t eat grains? Those of us with gastric surgery who can’t eat large amounts and have to have high protein? No sugar, no starches? Also, could you please mention that you can convert one quick service meal into 3 snack credits? I got that info right from Disney. Snack sizes are so much easier for us to eat. Any help in video form would be greatly appreciated.
Mama Gaea that sounds like a pretty niche request...I’m sure, from what I’ve seen on other food blogs, the chefs are all very accommodating and if you let a server know your dietary requirements they could whip something up for you! Disney is really good at that :) I’d imagine sticking to appetisers would be your best bet for eating small amounts, even some snacks are pretty large!
The only time I find myself disagreeing with AJ is on the desserts at Morimoto Asia. The Mochi-Mochi annindofu dessert is one of those items I absolutely have to get when I am there. It's light and refreshing and everything a Japanese dessert should be.
We ate at Morimoto last February and it was good. But, I wasn't super impressed. I am fortunate enough to live close to a really excellent Japanese restaurant, so my standards might be a little too high. I just felt like the food was all pretty good (with the exception of the salad dressing which I didn't like because it was too sour), but I've had better.
Our Disney Springs day will be February 7th, the day before my birthday! Still haven't decided where to eat because almost all the tables at Ohana's are booked.
Dee McGee we love chef art Smith's Homecoming the food and service have always been great. Check out the menu and see if it's something you want to try 👍
alex barnett the wagu is sold by the ounce with a 3 ounce minimum if memory serves. Don't remember how much per ounce beyond the you have got to be kidding me.
In all honesty, if you are worried about the extra cost on a meal going to Disney, maybe you shouldn't vacation at Disney. I understand the food challenge aspect of the free dining plan, but we stopped using it because it forced us to eat in a manner we we're not accustomed to and made us sick Not worth it to us
I asked this on another video of yours but does Disney accommodate people who have had bariatric surgery I don't want to pay the high prices of food if I'm only going to be able to eat a few bites!
I tried morimoto last time I was at Disney springs and it was delicious, but my boyfriend and I were very sick after eatting there. He was throwing up for days. So probably won't try it again.
Dirtysparkles hmmm would be interesting to know what made that. I know MSG is used in a lot of Chinese cooking so wonder if that’s used here? I’d be surprised if it did for being a signature?! Sounds rough, no wonder you wouldn’t wanna go back...I threw up after eating a turkey leg at Disneyland California...NEVER again!
So i was in the gaston place and i saw the alcohol thing he drinks and I looked in the ingredients and O-O if anyone has tried let me know how it taste
amandawatters33 planning a trip in the near future wanted to stop by Morimoto but this msg thing is so shocking no way thanks for the heads up I would have never asked
Spenser Lamphear for real, though...I can see him wearing Mickey ears, with a Mickey balloon in one hand, and a dole whip in the other while riding small world. But small world is only singing in Korean and it's all just scenes of people praising him. Then at the end, it's a scene with America getting nuked and they change the lyrics to "It's a smaller world after all."
Paddlefish is more Upscale than Boathouse, They forgot to mention that And the food is better! I feel like they really threw Paddlefish under the bus, which I rarely see them do on this channel, and gave it a 5 sec spot smh. Let's be fair atleast

I am going to pattlefish on my next disney Trip!!!
Fantastic job, AJ! Can't wait to go back and experience all that Disney Springs has to offer some day!
Can you please do a food tour of the Beach Club resort? In my opinion, there is some of the best food in Disney here! Thanks!!!
Samantha W There is a video with a review of the Yacht and Beach Club.
This is probably the only time I've slightly disagreed with AJ! My family went to WDW in early 2016 and had several great meals at Paradiso 37. Love Joffrey's - Our favorite place for frozen drinks and coffee at WDW!
I loved the desert! I was not sure what I was eating all the time but it was the best birthday desert.
Oh, the fish was great too.
I love how you say that almost everything is your favorite! Let's me know what to try when I visit in January!
I really want to try Morimoto Asia. Everything looks so good there. Thanks for another great food tour AJ.
We have to go to the Hangar Bar every time because my son loves the decor. Food tours are the best!
The only thing I dont like about Disney Springs is that there are so many good places to try that I always feel like I’m missing out on a lot.
The RIBS at Morimoto Asia are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!
Enzo's hideaway Sunday supper was the best meal we had during our visit Aug 18
I remember eating at the Empress Lily back in the day! My siblings and I still have pennants signed by Mickey and Minnie that have the cartoon version of the paddleboat on them. So much fun!
I feel like for having a part 2 you mentioned the same restaurants and part 1. Which kind of sucks because I already watched the first one
Excited to try HomeComin and Enzo’s Hideaway on an upcoming trip!
Thank you, from one Dallas-ite to another!
You bet!
Paddlefish was called the Empress Lilly. The had fantastic black bean soup.
I had lunch at morimoto Asia a few weeks ago and the food was absolutely delicious! However, I’m not sure I’ll go back very often because it was insanely expensive for the amount of food that was served!
I really miss the Adventurer's Club. No food but great ambiance.
Andrew Rhodes - I agree with you on that one, probably the most fun I ever had at " pleasure island"...they have been doing New Year's Eve shows with some of the cast, ( I think at the contemporary ) the past 2 or 3 years ?....they really need to find a location and bring it back..

Hi AJ! Do you think you will ever do a video on the food trucks at Disney Springs? :D
I love disney springs! All the food is amazing. My favorite is that cheese dip. so yummy! Would love it you could do a food tour at the beach club. Thanks :) love watching your videos.

Are you guys going to make a video about the new Chicken Guy restaurant?
She reviewed it the day before it opened :)
Todd Bennett I'm curious to find out the best italian food too. A lot of mixed reviews on Epcot, Trattoria, and Springs.
amandawatters33 like I LOVE Via Napoli as I worked out there when in opened and last went in 2013 but I’m sure it’s changed A LOT since then...maybe DFB can do a best to worst videos on Italian, Asian, American food?! Haha

Todd Bennett Via Napoli definitely went down in food quality. At least when I went in late 2015.
Our family went to Morimoto's for the first time 2 months ago. When we went in, we were really impressed with it - it's really lovely. But our experience went downhill from there. I agree with you. I also did not find the food there that great...way overrated.
Glad to see you called what they serves at Cookes...chips instead of fries.
Is it really worth booking reservations at Morimoto of Asia, or can you have as nice as meal at the express location??
Putting in a request. Could you please do a video for people who can’t eat grains? Those of us with gastric surgery who can’t eat large amounts and have to have high protein? No sugar, no starches? Does Enzo’s have the gabbagool?

Im going to Homecoming for my birthday in October.
Do Disney spring west side
Hey DFB peepswe have the standard DDP and know that Morimoto is 2 pts each but do you know if we can get that Wagyu beef on this?
alex barnett the wagu is sold by the ounce with a 3 ounce minimum if memory serves. Don't remember how much per ounce beyond the you have got to be kidding me.
You'll be charged extra $$$ for the Wagyu beef, as it is not covered on the DDP.
liadain327 I’ve been told it is covered up to 3 oz
In all honesty, if you are worried about the extra cost on a meal going to Disney, maybe you shouldn't vacation at Disney.
I understand the food challenge aspect of the free dining plan, but we stopped using it because it forced us to eat in a manner we we're not accustomed to and made us sick
Not worth it to us
As a Game of Thrones fan I cannot trust any place named "Joffrey's"
When will you start your podcast again?
I asked this on another video of yours but does Disney accommodate people who have had bariatric surgery I don't want to pay the high prices of food if I'm only going to be able to eat a few bites!
Melissa Juarez just take the rest of it home like a normal person. Or get tapas.
Is eating literally all there is to do at Disney Springs?
Hot Sauce Benny that & shopping.
Hey AJ, which Italian restaurant in Disney Springs would you recommend the most?
emmxx565 I think she needs to do a video where she ranks all the Italian restaurants in Disney!
How come you’ve never done a review on Bongos?
Just going to post that 1st comment
Could you please do a review of the adult princess makeovers?
This borders on tragic
Disney Springs would be perfect if it had Disney Quest
F in the chat lads.
What about Pizza Pointe?
Omg...you spoke so quickly in this one. You must've been in a rush to get back to the parks lol.
I thought that about AJ too, I wondered if she was going to catch a breath. ;-).
So i was in the gaston place and i saw the alcohol thing he drinks and I looked in the ingredients and O-O if anyone has tried let me know how it taste
How do u order a cake ?
kristen williams There is a phone number you call , she mentions it in the part 1 video.
Shame Morimoto has MSG in every item on their menu according to their staff. I had to walk away 😪
amandawatters33 planning a trip in the near future wanted to stop by Morimoto but this msg thing is so shocking no way thanks for the heads up I would have never asked
WE NEED DISNEY SPRINGS IN BEST KOREA!!!
Kim Jong-un and you're the only person allowed over there besides the cast members, right?
Spenser Lamphear for real, though...I can see him wearing Mickey ears, with a Mickey balloon in one hand, and a dole whip in the other while riding small world. But small world is only singing in Korean and it's all just scenes of people praising him. 2 Nd comment nice video
Ate at homecomin 2 weeks ago. Amazing food, but so overly filling. Be prepared
We don’t have much use for Disney Springs. It just all feels faux-high end and snooty to us.
Hated Maria and Enzos. Food was terrible and very pricey. Do not go! Way better choices.
I hate the name Disney Springs.. I like Downtown Disney better. It rolls off you're tongue easier.
Does it worrk???
