  • In this episode, we do some examination of what makes furry interests just that with a seminal Takashi Nakamura film: Catnapped. Treat yourself to this feast for the eyes, and settle in while we finally settle an age-old furry art debate (not really).

    About FFF:
I've been doing FFF for many years in a live, at-convention clipshow form, but I decided to take the plunge and start sharing with the internet at large why I love so many of these animated movies and shows so much. There's always something new to find, and I have oodles of things I want to talk about with you all!

I completely agree with the search engines being so careless in blasting fetish content at even those who didn't look for it with the ferocity of a tsunami. Google and the posting platforms should attempt to exercise even a little effort in trying to get that type of adult content tagged and filed away. This hyperawareness has also ruined people who just want to do sfw art that just so happens to be slightly related to an actual fetish, like how when someone sees a chunky furry character, they immediately assume its fat fetish and makes every have to walk on eggshells of "Does this look too fat? Do you think I'm going to make people uncomfortable?" when they just want to have some good fun. I remember having a pooltoy character and a plushie character in an rp community and everyone was super wierd about it and I couldnt think of why because I was just sat here thinking "heh, that's a neat concept/aesthetic."
In all, there is damage done to the culture by this inflammatory exposure that companies so carelessly caused, but it doesnt absolve people who intentionally post fetish content in spaces where it isn't welcome.
Also can we get some good sfw refs for fatness that isnt full fat fetish comically blown out of scale. My friend wanted to draw there character who is a lil chonk and all they found was fetish art on google. It's a huge problem especially on that front.
Edit: almost forgot one more thought on the end discussion, catnapped, I feel, is completely sfw. Inflation is just one of those cartoon gags that studios use that just so happened to scratch a very particular itch in people's heads, same with comical weight gain and transformation. It was just intended as goofy cartoon antics that awoke something in certain people. No need to shame catnapped, amazing world of gumball, or mario and luigi bowsers inside story for just doing what cartoons do: be absurd.

I looooove Catnapped! I got lucky and a friend of mine showed it to me back around 2009. It honestly helped me become more comfortable with my interest in inflation art because of how genuine it managed to be while still being so aesthetically pleasing.
The subject you discuss at the video is an interesting contemplation related to kink and I think you put into word exceptionally well a thought I've loosely had in my head for a long time. I don't think there are easy answers, but it reminds me of how demonized sexuality is in our culture compared to everything else.

How have I never heard of this before? I don't even have an air inflation kink but I feel like at some point I would have been exposed to the furry inflation movie just through furry osmosis

Interesting discussion at the end. It reminds me of how video games are judged much more harshly than movies or TV shows for containing sexual content, because the assumption is that all video games are for children.

This is a western Stigma mostly all due to Nintendo who would remove any content they did not like until 2000s yet all other Consles at the time did this less. Yet these days Sony remove certain content over Nintendo who seem to have somthing against Japanese games. These restictions was only ever console though they never was any in the West for PC stuff just the adult only stuff you wont find buyable in regular retail stores it is just digital only.

I think this is the best of your channel relaunch and I appreciate the editorial at the end. I hate how the Right has hammered out "groomer," a legitimate red flag of a term, as a shorthand for "deviating from heteronormativity."

I am absolutely certain that this movie inspired aspects of the playstation game "Klonoa, Door to Phantomile." The bright and vibrant designs for the cities and characters are too similar, as well as the inflation attack.
Also, the fact that we haven't gotten a blu ray remastering of this movie is a crime against art.

I remember seeing a trailer for this movie at the beginning of my Sailor Moon VCR tape when I was little. More recently, I was wondering what that trailer was for. I remember having a bit of an interest in it when I was little because it had cats and was so colorful. I'm so glad to have found your video and can finally close the search from so long ago

As somebody who grew up during the early days of the internet, I can agree that the online landscape has become more kid-friendly for the sake of the stock holders. It's rather depressing how quickly all of our hangouts have passed away. Deviantart is an AI riddled mess, Tumblr is a confusing rabbit hole of virtue-signaling and guilt-tripping, and FurAffinity... well they haven't changed a bit. Although, adults having their own space can be a double-edged sword. For every "Blue-pilled" Tumblr, there is always a "Red-pilled" Twitter, if you know what I mean. But yeah, that message at the end about the new generation being afraid of sex hit me right in my heart. I fear that we maybe reaching the end times as a species if that's the case.

Idk I’m a furry myself and this movie was basically an uncomfortable fever dream for me, maybe it’s cause I’m not into inflation, maybe it’s cause the cat world is too wacky, or maybe it’s cause I think some of the character names sound way too ridiculous. But hey opinions

I don’t have an inflation kink, but I have a huge kink in gloved mechanical hands. I love to draw gloved mechanical hands a lot. There are two 80s Anime that I love that fuels my kink for gloved mechanical hands which are Dream Star Button Nose and Chikkun Takkun. They are both cute mascot Animes with a lot of gloved mechanical hands. Button Nose is a Sanrio character (has a robot with gloved mechanical hands) as Chikkun Takkun is by Shotaro Ishinomori (robotic hat is basically Robocon with gloved mechanical hands) I have known about those two Animes since late 90s with dial up internet, but didn’t have much info on it, only pictures and saying it was done by Sanrio. Not until RUclips in 2006-2007 I saw opening and closing for those two Animes. I also found out they have gloved mechanical hands in the video clips. In this day and age I like to draw cute Sanrio/cute mascot characters (Korean and Taiwanese ones too) get involved with a robot and machine with gloved mechanical hands. The gloved mechanical hands wash/clean, pamper and take care of the characters.

I do not think that the inflation is a philia. While quite a number of cats get bloated in this anime, in Western animation we have seen Tom Cat inflate himself in Chuck Jones' "Year of the Mouse". Looney Tunes cat Sylvester also gets his fair share of inflation. There's more inflation on Looney Tunes media than any other series I've seen including Roderick and Rhubella from Tiny Toons getting an inflation in the segment "Butt Out" (Life in the 90s). Whatever the case I think it's a perfectly okay gag, which wouldn't give any funny ideas. If there is a sequel, I'd like to see Buburina try to move the cat world right to Earth hoping to turn all humans and animals into monsters. I wonder what a monsterised rat or mouse would be to a cat. I can also see the sequel portraying a message against animal circuses, which produce entertainment at the animals' expense.

    Its a shame
I love the animation and the designs and the message, but the inflation stuff just freaks the hell out of me. The Space Jam scene always creeped me out as a kid, something about LIVING beings being inflated never sat well with me.
I dont have an issue with those who love it, more power to them. But this movie would've been nightmare fuel for me lol

I remember when a friend of mine showed me this on VHS back in 2000 I think and it was an amazing movie back then. But I do want to say that yes I am a furry, a greymuzzle (been in the fandom 30 years) and I agree with what you said at the end of the video. Yes, now there's so many tools available to us now as opposed to years ago and if you want to get porn of X character.. all you have to do is search for it. Does this make this a bad thing? I don't think so. What kinda irks me is that there are some people that are trying to make certain segments of furry .. safe for everyone. Um.. I hate to break it to you.. but your kids can think furry is neat and all that.. but there have been horror stories of kids trying to get into adult areas of conventions and even parties that aren't even affiliated with the con! And these same people go "Well it's always been like that." NO. NOT EVEN F-ING CLOSE! The FIRST convention I went to was the ONLY Furry Con around and that was ConFurence. And this place was for ADULTS. PERIOD. There were pet auctions, adult cabarets, etc and it was awesome! Now there are some conventions that want to censor their attendees and whitewash the whole furry experience.. my thoughts on that.. why? So we can be "kid friendly"? No. We weren't kid friendly before and sure as hell aren't going to be now. If people want to take their kids to furry cons and all that.. that's on you. But if you think for a second that conventions can and SHOULD cater to these families.. hell no.. you're excluding the REST of us.
