  • This week we're on the island of Nassau, Bahamas. The island of Nassau is a very popular cruise stopover, but is it worth it to go? This week we'll be taking a stop there while aboard the cruise ship, MSC Seashore and see what there is to do. After doing a tour, I'll decided based on the cost and what there was to do if it was worth going, in my opinion. This channel is all about traveling on a budget. So join us as we travel to the Caribbean, and check out other videos as we go to the United States to Asia, Africa, and elsewhere.

Surprised you didn't go to Fish Fry. If you are really into the culture of a place this should've been at the top of your list.

Where is Fish Fry? Funny I hadn't heard of it. But that's why these videos are good. We learn from each other.

No, Nassau is a tourist trap. The cruises should dock close to beaches since there's nothing to do in town.

Why didn't you drive around the island, there are nicer beaches if you go west. You can see how bahamians actually live, it's literally the 3rd richest independent country in the western hemisphere, If you want to get a feel for it. Although that would require spending money for transportation. There is the Clifton heritage park with remains of a plantation and under water sculpture park. Ardastra Gardens is nice and The national art gallery. You can swim with sharks with Stuart's cove. There is actually alot to do. Nassau isn't a tourist trap, it's expensive because it's a city on an island with a high standard of living. It's literally top 10 most expensive places to live in the world. The Only islands more expensive are Cayman and Bermuda. There is an advisory but truth be told almost 10 million ppl visit the Bahamas and not much of anything happens. It's pretty safe.

This is why the comments are a good thing. If you go online to do a search for things to do in Nassau, you won't find any of this. You just get the usual tourist trap excursions. It's good to hear from the locals. Thanks.
