Thanks for the wonderful how to play! This is quick and informative and perfect! Just to give you a head's up, we have updated the tiebreaker rules in the 2nd printing so that the first tie breaker is the player with MORE Buildings/Plans in their Neighborhood, rather than fewer.
Thanks! This is still the best refresher for Mint Works. I brought this out for Thanksgiving this year and it went over well. Played a few times and just got home to play a solo game before bed.
Perfect, thank you so much! I had read the confusing instructions, and even followed the QR code to the site that was supposed to have the official video, and couldn’t find it there. This was just what I needed. It’s a fun, portable, quick game, so glad I can play it now!
So glad it helped you learn the game! I just got their newest game, Mint Cooperative, in the mail a few weeks ago so I’ve been itching to play this again. I do find the rule books a bit confusing and ambiguous (especially Mint Cooperative) so I understand the frustration. It’s a fun little game and I’m glad I picked it up. Let me know how you like it after you play and thanks for the comment!
Heck yeah, thanks for the comment! Trying to get back into making these videos. Just put one out for ROVE, check it out if you’re interested. First video in 4 years so I’m a little rusty lol
Johannes Höhmann It's getting a reprint early next year in connection with the Mint Delivery Kickstarter by the same designer. Hopefully you can find it then!
Just purchased it last week end it is brand new, take away plastic cover the card however cards looks dirty is it the intention of this game or I found some repack of this game?
The cards do have a dirty look to them. I’m pretty sure that was an aesthetic choice they did on purpose. It doesn’t really bother me but I can see where it might bother some. Sounds like you got a new version as long as it was shrink wrapped.
The steps in the upkeep phase are listed as an unordered list. In the video, you describe the upkeep phase as if it were an ordered list. When the upkeep phase begins and someone has 7 points, can all players still aquire their stars/points from their buildings that would gain additional stars during upkeep?
The Upkeep phase is ordered and the first thing you check is the game ending. If someone has 7 or more stars or there’s not enough Plans to refill the supply then you end the game and don’t apply any Upkeep effects on buildings. I’m assuming you are talking about the Gallery. If the game doesn’t end and you put a mint on the Gallery during upkeep but that pushes you over 7 stars then you still play the next round as normal and the game will end during the next upkeep when you check for 7 stars again. This has been clarified by the designer on BGG in this thread: boardgamegeek.com/thread/1727034/end-game-triggering-question-gallery Hope that clears everything up!
@@MyklSkeleton ah yes, the Gallery was specifically what I had in mind. Thanks for the link, I can tell that is the intended way that the game should be played although the rules read differently. Ordered lists should have numbers, not bullets. Under overview it reads "Once a player has 7 points earned (or...) the end of the game is triggered. The game will then be over at the end of the current round" Maybe I could point these comments to Justin in case they want to make small copy edits for future versions! Haha Thanks for the reply and the awesome video

Justin Blaske Good to know, I'll put a note in the description. Thank you for the nice comment!
Please fix the back that writes solitare ;-)

You're video is a good start to the game!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Do they still sell this game or do you have an old copy?
@@MyklSkeleton it was on sale in Germany in German language. Is this game generally not available anymore?
Fantastic explanation!
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
Wow. Gameplay explanation is on point.
William Garcia Thanks buddy, I appreciate it!
Excellent instruction - - thank you!
@@emanresu1000 You’re very welcome!
Thank you for the video. Very clear and easy to follow. Special thanks for also covering off solo play (often missed by many for most games) ❤️

Thank you for the great review. Helped me to better understand how to play!
Shelli_copter I’m happy I was able to help you understand the game. Thank you for the nice comment!
Thanks for that! Otherwise i never could play this. 1 question...against AI. The AI gains one mints after unkeep Phase too?
Correct, the AI gains one mint after the upkeep phase just like normal. Thanks for watching!
Thank you 🤝
You’re welcome!
Excellent video
Thank you!
That is very neat. I want to buy that, but I can’t find a single seller in Germany -.-

Thanks for posting this, I just bought a secondhand copy and was starting to judge the previous owner…
Yeah, I find that a negative but that is how the cards come brand new.

Sadly the new version comes in a thicker tin. It's no longer a "pocket" game.
pretty thorough. me like.
Awesome, I’m glad you liked it!
@@MyklSkeleton yes. many uploaders show a talking male dude for half an hour. You dive right in.
Could you give me advice for building a board game
Darkno Dark Sorry but I’ve never made a board game. I love playing games designed by other people though!
Channels like Adam in Wales do give in-depth lessons on that
Are these real mints? ;)
Keindzjim NO these are not real mints! My daughters asked me the same thing lol
