This was exactly what I was looking for, except I have one question/observation. My understanding is that a free quark is only found in the detector or background. I'm pretty sure the quark you annihilated in your example was actually safe.
KirvoBD In the designer’s walkthrough video he states that you can annihilate a quark in the beam if you don’t have any free quarks in the background or detector. However, on BGG the publisher states this was changed after printing the rules to make the game easier. So yes, in the regular game you’d just discard the annihilation card but in the advanced game you would have to annihilate a quark in the beam. Good catch!
KirvoBD it’s a fun little game that twists my brain more than I expected. I’ve been meaning to pick up more Button Shy games, it’s amazing what they do with so little components and rules!
jedi_panda I used Fantasy Flight Games sleeves and everything fits just fine in the wallet. I believe I used FFG Green (standard American) but I could be wrong about that, it’s been awhile. If I get around to checking I’ll let you know.

MyklSkeleton that explains it. It came with my monthly board game subscription box. I was excited to see such a neat little solo game

Hi! Do the cards need to be sleeved?
Nope, sleeves are optional!
Good review!
What kind of sleeves do you use?
Also, do the cards still fit comfortably in the wallet once sleeved?
