What's even funnier is Eurolychus was willing to leave those men to die, but then he gets on Odysseus' ass for sacrificing six men to Scylla. The hypocrisy is real.
True!
Let’s not forget that technically Eurolychus sacrificed 558 men when he opened the wind bag
What's the hypocrisy here? He doesn't believe they can fight a goddess and is proben right when the only reason Odysseys saves their men is literal divine intervention from Hermes. That's a little different from intentionally savrificing people who were only in a position to be sacrified because Odysseus put them there. I've heard this point a couple times and I've never been able to wrap my head around it.
@@theferretman2157 because they cant fight Syclla either, and i think they were gonna lose a LOT more then 6 men to Circe right? (if i got names wrong im sorry, im tired
@@alakazamlover4908 yeah but there was a lot of ways to avoid the situation at Scylla's lair, like telling the crew about it and discussing it with them (every single context clue in Scylla and Mutiny points towards the crew not being told about Scylla until she attacked), not going through Scylla's lair in the first place, etc. Comparee to Circe where no one knew about how dangerous Circe was until she turned people into pigs,
